Our lifetime is made up of many journeys. Journeys that make and break us, shape and mould us, past and present determining what we shall become in the future, the most important of all that of our soul, the path to spiritual enlightenment, the metamorphosis of our innermost core as we traverse the journeys of life. Each journey we take in the physical has spiritual ramifications and often affect us far more than what the world can see, turning our souls inside out, upside down, twisting and contorting it until we are not sure we will ever be able to recognize ourselves when we come out the other side of the purging fire.
Each journey we take and every person we cross paths with leaves a footprint on our soul, teaching us valuable lessons and to show us how significant we are in the fabric of the universe. Love and loss, success and tragedy, ecstasy and pain, are all tools of the world to touch us, to create the destiny of our souls, the tumultuous journey that will leave us tempered like the rarest and most beautiful of diamonds, born of the greatest pressure and heat, crushed beyond life itself and shining forth a brilliant light from an indomitable spirit.
With strength and purity of heart we will survive anything, our soul’s journey one that is never-ending, each step one step closer to becoming the highest being and ultimate version of us that we can aspire to.

Everything that I have been through up to this point is my PAST. The past is GONE and yes, we are supposed to let it GO. BUT…That does NOT mean that we ever forget it, for it has played an ESSENTIAL role in creating the person we are TODAY. Every experience, every tear, every smile, every heartache, every joy, every person who has entered and left, every sunset and dawn, everything has contributed to our personal and spiritual growth and development. Everything has advanced our MATURITY as an individual and in LIFE. EVERYTHING. There is NOTHING that is insignificant, even though some events stand out as milestones on the path we have traversed.
My past has taught me. It has given and it has taken from me. It has forced me to bend and break and yield. It has caused me to rise and fight and determined strength. It has been a path through plains of drought and fields of plenty, up mountains of struggle and down waterfalls of ease, and through it all, I have been moulded.
My past may have helped “create” me, but it does not DEFINE me. I am NOT my past. I am who I CHOOSE to be. I am what I have chosen to TAKE from my past, what I have ALLOWED to creep inside my soul and reside there, pulling my heart and guiding my mind in its formation of life and purpose.
I can look back on my past and see the steps, the journey, the experiences that have been the biggest “turning points” in my life. I can recognize the PEOPLE who have had the most impact on my soul and created the most development in my being. I can understand that from my SOUL stems my feelings about life, starting unconsciously, until it manifests either in heart or mind, through emotion or vision. I can ACCEPT that EVERYTHING has been a part of my path to AWARENESS, my journey of growth and development.
Everything current and future will eventually too become part of my past, part of my journey, my STORY. Everything that has happened, is happening, or will happen, is IMPORTANT. But not as important as SEEING it as it happens and understanding that not all things in life will shape us in the way we desire, but instead in the way that we NEED, in order for us to become ALL we CAN be.

Sometimes that realization hits when least expected. So much that it startles and can seem "scary" at first, but slowly comes to make sense.

Change is intended to create and cultivate GROWTH creating circumstances which force you to reevaluate your life, so that you can see and let go of whatever might hold you back. Often, whether we are consciously aware of it or not, or want to admit it to ourselves, FEAR is one of those things: Fear of becoming even more vulnerable or letting it be known, of leaving a "comfort zone" because it may be the only thing familiar to us, even if we are very uncomfortable there and want a "way out", but being honest with ourselves that we have no idea of what to do or where to go next.
Growth IS uncomfortable and can make you vulnerable, because it is often made in the most intense situations which place us in a position where NOT reaching out to another may cause further devastation, but it is a huge step because trust can be so thin because of experiences preceding the "turning point" of honesty with yourself about what is happening. It takes a lot of courage to confide in another soul, especially when your history has almost always been alone or loyalty betrayed, but sometimes people DO surprise you and you may find more than just a glimmer of hope if you risk taking that uncertain step.
Risk can sometimes be the test of whether or not we are truly ready to move FORWARD, for without it, taking that step, making a decision that we have absolutely no idea where it will take us, there may never be real opportunity for growth. Sometimes we HAVE to take that first step of trust to begin to "see our way again", blurry as it may be, because it means we want to move forward no matter the cost, knowing that anything is better than merely existing like we have felt became a way for a while.
Even if you have almost always "traveled" alone, there are times when it is better for your own wellbeing, and essential for your increasing enlightenment, to welcome the company of another soul beside your own. And not just for you, but for that soul too, it may mean the first step in their journey of courage and risk, desiring to break free from all that keeps them immobilized, willing to let go of any and all fear, to begin the process of truly LIVING again.

The journey to higher awareness and greater awakening is not one all "succeed" through, but it is one the healing warrior understands only too well. Those moments, the breaking, they are never easy, no matter how many times you go through them, or for whatever reason. They are never easy. And it takes a lot of courage to keep going, to bring yourself to continue showing up in the world when you want to disappear from it altogether sometimes. It takes strength to walk among the calm and show nothing of the chaotic storm going on inside, to give a smile because you know that you never know what another may be going through and it could be the difference they need today. It takes more than many may ever know, to process the pain and accept the lesson trying to be taught through it, because you know that you cannot just accept it but have to know it, truly know, deep down in your soul, not only in your head and felt in your heart.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
Life is not about playing it safe, staying inside four walls and never going outside of them, even for the smallest of seconds. Life is about living, experimenting, trying new things, opening up your mind and heart to the endless possibilities and wonder that lies in wait for each and every one of us.
Are there things we are apprehensive about? Absolutely – do them anyway! Are there things that might frighten us a little? Sure there are – don’t be afraid; step forward with your shoulders straight. Are there times when we are taking risks that might lash back on us with consequences we have no way of foreseeing? Definitely – take the risk anyway, because you never know; it might be the best thing you ever did, and one of the experiences you will never have wanted to miss out on in your life.
If you don’t step out and try, you will never know. If you close yourself off to the limitless possibilities that life has to offer and has waiting for you, then you are going to miss out on a lot of amazing opportunities. Don’t let that happen!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
It's a mindset. A vision. A way of living. Be so focused on your vision that you instinctively move away from anyone or anything who is not moving in the same direction. FORWARD. Choosing growth and empowerment. New experiences and an enriched life.
Every day is a new day. A fresh start. A blank slate. You choose what you draw on the easel of that day. Make it a work of art that people REMEMBER. That they will want to stop and look at. That speaks to something deeper within them than simple surface logic.
It's all a choice. And it's all on YOU. How you decide will ultimately determine one step closer or one step further from your vision. Each day is an opportunity of possibility. Each moment to be lived with nothing less than passion and soul.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
I LIKE WHO I'M BECOMING
I am not the person I was a year ago, nor several months ago, even a week ago or a day ago. Like life and time I am constantly evolving, changing as my soul experiences everything in an hourglass of passion and depression, hope and despair, love and loathing, progress and stagnation. Everything that I see, hear, taste, smell, and do has an impact no matter how small or big, whether I realize it or not, and affects how I ultimately perceive the world, myself, and my position in it.
Constant evolution suggests constant PROGRESS, BECOMING BETTER, leaving behind the shell of who I was, accepting and embracing and stepping into the new, the unknown future and all it holds for me. There is no fear of what is to come, for I have something far greater alongside all the weapons I need to take stance against anything and all who might come against me, knowing that He will ALWAYS have my back, that everything I go through has PURPOSE.
Is there pain? Yes. Is there sorrow? Yes. Is there darkness? Yes. But there is also joy and happiness and light, and it is THOSE things that my soul holds on for, the glimpse of them that hope has afforded me, the woman that I will be at the end of it all, who I am becoming for the one I am being created FOR. There can be no triumph without struggle, no strength without experiencing weakness, no life without the exchange of death, and I have struggled in and with my weakness, dying to be reborn into the life I was MEANT to live.
I am a different creature than I once was. I am changed in ways I never thought I would be. I see things I never thought I would see. I hold dreams I never thought I would ever care for. I have allowed the hard shell of the rock island that I was to be penetrated, a crumbling of the wall that once kept the world at bay and me safe inside, eroding as slowly I step into the light, trembling as I share my soul with the world I stayed aloof from for a lifetime, a shy emergence of a rare softness and vulnerability peeking out from the “machine”.
I am becoming something more than I ever imagined. I am becoming all that I was intended to be. Instead of heaviness there is lightness in my soul, a quiet calm even as there blows a maelstrom, because I know that I am growing into my destiny. I am growing into “my own”, a woman with complete confidence in herself and her abilities and place in the world, at peace with her heart and soul and the desires no longer hidden there. I know some don’t approve of my choices or like the path I have embarked on, but this is MY life, not theirs, and I LIKE who I’m becoming and I WELCOME it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
BE THE MESSAGE
You know what it feels like. You’ve been there. You might be there NOW. You know the pain that resides deep down in the souls of the lost and brokenhearted. It’s not enough to JUST know. It’s not enough to care. You have to SHOW that you care, that you UNDERSTAND. You have to be real enough that you ARE the example others can look towards, the strength that they could hold onto, a glimmer of hope that everything will work itself out and be all right. Even if everything is NOT ok for you, you can do this for them because you still have HOPE and faith in something far bigger and greater than yourself and your circumstances.
No one might know what is going on with you. All they see is a smile and positivity, the words of encouragement to others, the empathy radiating from your soul when you are confided in with others’ fears and secrets. Even if they knew what you were going through, you cannot stand there and simply tell them what to do or to have faith that it’ll be ok. You have to TRULY believe it too yourself, not just for them, but for YOU.
You have to be MORE than a message. You have to be a living, breathing EXAMPLE. You have to show through your own ACTIONS that no matter what, giving up is NEVER an option, that what is happening now can only make you STRONGER. You have to show that even if it breaks you for a time, destroys you so completely you feel like there is nothing left to recognize in the aftermath, the world CONTINUES. YOU continue.

You have to show that your circumstances do NOT define you, even if they help SHAPE you and the path your future might follow. You have to show them that pain is just a TOOL used to see what you are MADE of, to make you truly realize what is IMPORTANT to you, that which is precious and IRREPLACEABLE, and give you the burning courage to fight FOR it with everything you have. If you want to make a DIFFERENCE, YOU have to be the MESSAGE.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
THE SCARY CHOICES
Sometimes we find a dream in our heart that we didn’t realize was there, discovered during a period of darkness, or when someone or something completely UNexpected comes into our life and we are knocked out for the count. Sometimes those dreams can SCARE us beyond all imagining, something we never wanted or ever thought we could or would want, held in trepidation as we debate the decision whether or not to FOLLOW our heart in this matter.
Will we or won’t we? Will we step out and risk everything we know and have ever known for something OUTSIDE the scope of our experience and knowledge, so unknown that we feel helpless and lost in navigating our way through it? Will we choose to look BEYOND everything that could possibly go wrong on the journey, seeing instead the wonderful OPPORTUNITY that life is blessing us with, the dream we have denied our heart for so long?
Whether your mind acknowledges it or not, once you are AWARE of this dream, you can NEVER become UNaware, that dream becoming a PART of you, living and breathing with you, held capture in your heart, no matter how far down you may try to push it or try to deny its existence out of fear of what might happen IF you follow it. You’ll never know if you don’t give it a chance, if you don’t take the risk and put yourself out there, if you don’t DO.
But when you’re afraid and you just DO it anyway, that’s when you grow and open yourself up to new POSSIBILITIES, when your heart SINGS in the exhilarating feeling of not knowing but knowing and having FAITH that something WONDERFUL is going to happen. It’s not just persevering and desiring it with a force more powerful than you ever realized, but it’s making the choices that scare us the MOST, stepping into the decisions that you want so desperately but have never allowed yourself to consider a plausible reality, that CHANGE us the most and can be the BEST things we ever do, WORTH everything in the end.
Will YOU hear and HEED the call of you HEART and take the RISK, no matter how fearful you are, no matter how hard the path ahead might seem, to SEE where it takes you, to take the chance that it could be something that ENRICHES your life BEYOND anything else you have ever known? Will you be BRAVE and EMBRACE it, knowing that God would never have offered such an unexpected gift it He did not WANT it for you? WILL YOU?

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
YOUR STORY
I am learning more and more about the power of SHARING your story. No one will ever know if you never tell. No one will ever know about the struggles you have faced or face, the darkest times you almost didn’t make it through, the obstacles you have overcome, the battles you have fought and fight, the life you have lived outside of their “impression” of what they see or think they know, if YOU do not let them know.
It took me a lifetime before I was “ok” in revealing and talking about some of the things I have been through in my life. For the longest time everyone thought my life was “perfect”, that I was always “fine” and I never corrected it, not wanting to shatter that illusion, even though I hated it because I WAS struggling. The world sees only what one has “accomplished”, but not the pain behind it, nor the motivator for it, or even the fact that sometimes to the one who has “achieved so much” those achievements mean nothing.
I shut the world out. That was the path I chose. I was the “machine”, “cold”, ”emotionless”, and no one ever thought I cared, or knew if I did. It was almost as if I was ashamed of what I have been through, the struggles, to admit that I was “weak” and needed help sometimes. And when I first allowed the vulnerability to ask for it I was laughed at and not believed, because no one ever knew the “truth” behind the face they all seemed so “intimidated” by, which was frustrating but also humbling.
It was not easy to share my “life”. It took more than some will ever know to reveal the “weaknesses” and dark times, the struggles and experiences, but it opened up something new, to both me AND others. I discovered that I actually became REAL to people and that they could finally relate to me, they in turn realizing that I was as human and flawed as anyone else.
Sharing my struggles, my weakness, the very things that I had been most “ashamed” of throughout my life, created a different kind of strength from a new understanding that I did NOT have to be “perfect” and that it was ok to fall and break and to let others know, because in those times genuine connections are made and people RELATE. Not just a strength or understanding, but a motivation and a BLESSING as well, in realizing that my sharing could help others, whether simply to inspire or just to open their eyes.
I know I’m not alone in how I was. I know how hard it can be. If someone asked me a question, sure I would answer, but I never VOLUNTEERED information about my life. But I have learnt that in order to truly grow into the person we have every potential to be, inspiring as much as we possibly can, sharing our weaknesses is one key that just makes us STRONGER, opens up more hearts than “doing” ever might, and in turn enables us to be able to touch and make far more difference in the lives we meet, and never meet, than we can ever comprehend.

YOUR STORY
I am learning more and more about the power of SHARING your story. No one will ever know if you never tell. No one will ever know about the struggles you have faced or face, the darkest times you almost didn’t make it through, the obstacles you have overcome, the battles you have fought and fight, the life you have lived outside of their “impression” of what they see or think they know, if YOU do not let them know.
It took me a lifetime before I was “ok” in revealing and talking about some of the things I have been through in my life. For the longest time everyone thought my life was “perfect”, that I was always “fine” and I never corrected it, not wanting to shatter that illusion, even though I hated it because I WAS struggling. The world sees only what one has “accomplished”, but not the pain behind it, nor the motivator for it, or even the fact that sometimes to the one who has “achieved so much” those achievements mean nothing.
I shut the world out. That was the path I chose. I was the “machine”, “cold”, ”emotionless”, and no one ever thought I cared, or knew if I did. It was almost as if I was ashamed of what I have been through, the struggles, to admit that I was “weak” and needed help sometimes. And when I first allowed the vulnerability to ask for it I was laughed at and not believed, because no one ever knew the “truth” behind the face they all seemed so “intimidated” by, which was frustrating but also humbling.
It was not easy to share my “life”. It took more than some will ever know to reveal the “weaknesses” and dark times, the struggles and experiences, but it opened up something new, to both me AND others. I discovered that I actually became REAL to people and that they could finally relate to me, they in turn realizing that I was as human and flawed as anyone else.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
OPEN
Life never ceases to amaze. The longer you live, the more surprised you can become. It’s nice. Feeling happy and smiling for simply no reason at all. Or because of the unexpected blessings that you suddenly find right there where you once never saw them. It’s a wonderful feeling living each day as a brand new ADVENTURE, open to what may come, willing to give everything a chance, because you never know when something might become one of the BEST things in your life.
Open your eyes. See what IS there. See the POSSIBILITIES. Imagine the POTENTIAL. Not everything will become something or be an experience you might want to repeat or relive, but everything will TEACH you about life and yourself and that is worth it. It is worth it because the more you learn, the more you GROW, and the more you grow, the more AWARE you are, in tune with yourself and your place in the world, which can ultimately be anything you want it to be.
You can DO anything you want to. It’s about believing you can and being willing to take the risk and stepping out there and challenging yourself. Opening yourself up to potential failure, yes, but also a higher possibility of success, because success WILL eventuate if you stay with your dream and give it your best. The world is a playground for the dreamers, for they are the pioneers of this life, the movers, the shakers, the ones who refuse to believe that anything can be “impossible”.
Open your heart. Accept the people that come into your life, whether they are reason, season, or lifetime. You do not have to determine what they are in this instant, but know that there is ALWAYS a purpose for someone [or something] when it happens, even if we never realize it until eons later. There is something in every interaction we have, always an impact, whether we are aware of it or not, and the more intuitive souls will recognize “moments” when they are.
Life is a wondrous thing. There is ALWAYS something that can surprise even the most hardened of souls. There is always something that can soften one, make a heart smile, cause a mind to open, and dreams to begin again. Not black or white and sometimes not even shades of grey, but brilliant streaks of colour, like a kaleidoscope of intense and infinite proportions it can be once you are OPEN to what is and can be, welcoming each new day like the amazing blessing that it is.
