Whether we want to believe it or not, it all comes back to us. The onus for our life lies on ourselves. And the overall state of it really does come down to how we feel and think about and treat ourselves. Yes, sometimes, even when we know better, we let external forces influence and affect how we feel and think and act. It's called being human and I am as flawed as any. Yet making mistakes does not mean that we are not imperfectly perfect and cannot be happy right here and now. So I choose to forgive myself for my "mistakes" and see them as lessons in my soul's growth. I already accept and embrace myself as I am, and while it is an ongoing process, some days more of an effort than others, I choose - again - to approve of and love myself regardless of anything and everything. It is time to take a step back and rediscover what it means and be the love for myself that I have been for others. It is essential to follow and do what makes my soul happy, for ultimately it will only aid in serving energy that inspires and helps awaken awareness, change, and growth in others.

You cannot see it, but beneath the skin there lies a heart so deep it could drown the ocean. There is a soul that glows in the right light, even after it has been completely broken, although of late the darkness takes over more than is let known. But you cannot see it. For you have no idea what this woman has been through. All you have are superficial assumptions on everything about her based on how she looks.

You have no idea what makes her smile, or why her smile is the way it is. She smiles even when she feels buried in the dark, struggling to hold on, trying to decide whether her stubbornness to stay is hurting her more than the uncomfortable realization that if she simply disappeared it would likely make no difference. But you know nothing of that. All you see is a smile and to you that means everything is ok.

Her heart has hurt her more than once. With so much love to give, knowing no other way to be but non-judgmental and unconditional, it has taken more abuse than a heart should, and now it is tired. Her head is bowed, if only to rest her eyes for a moment, because her mind will not rest, not even for a second, scattered and shattered with more spaces and sights than reasonably existing in any one place.

Her story is not simple, even though she strives to make her life as simple as possible. Her simplicity is in the beautifully intricate weaving of the openness of her being with all that has wounded her, everyone who has ever crossed her path and the rare moments her soul found peace. Evolutionally ongoing, she is still learning how and trying to heal it all together.

I ran for the first time in a lifetime yesterday, between the heavy downpours of rain, after the thunderstorms of the earlier morning. It was nice, the temperature perfect, a gentle breeze while the sun peeked out.

The road was still wet from the rain, but it seemed as if almost overnight, everything had become brighter, more vibrant, green on the trees and new grass, flowers appearing, just simply everything "feeling" like a different world. Like spring has finally "arrived", watching transformation happen as if magic and being a part of it all, the outer world reflecting the changes and feelings going on inside the inner world inside of that.

Spring has always been a season I have felt "change" the air around me, whether back home or here. It is like one day everything "feels" different somehow, even if it has not. Often I have wondered if it is because something has changed inside of me each time, no matter how subtle. Perhaps, since the soul undergoes seasons too, even if not as noticeable as in the physical realm in parts of the world.

Scent, sight, sound, so many senses evoke emotion and different responses. The light can lift our soul as much as darkness can deteriorate it. Disappearing from the world for a time, especially that of depression and destruction, is not only ok, but necessary, and even if we might feel as if nothing is happening in the darkness, something is, if we let go and trust that sometimes we do not have to know everything or be in control.

But it is time to "return" again. It is time to soak this soul beneath the soothing, healing, renewing rains of spring and let it grow, waiting surprise for what may rise, but choosing to accept, approve of and love whatever blooms.

The journey to higher awareness and greater awakening is not one all "succeed" through, but it is one the healing warrior understands only too well. Those moments, the breaking, they are never easy, no matter how many times you go through them, or for whatever reason. They are never easy. And it takes a lot of courage to keep going, to bring yourself to continue showing up in the world when you want to disappear from it altogether sometimes. It takes strength to walk among the calm and show nothing of the chaotic storm going on inside, to give a smile because you know that you never know what another may be going through and it could be the difference they need today. It takes more than many may ever know, to process the pain and accept the lesson trying to be taught through it, because you know that you cannot just accept it but have to know it, truly know, deep down in your soul, not only in your head and felt in your heart.

It is where I belong -

part of its depths
echoes of my soul,

ECCLESIASTES 3:1

There is a reason and season for EVERYTHING and everything has its time. My time is NOW!

I am blessed. Every day I must do what I can towards my goals and dreams, for they require work and sacrifice alongside belief and faith. Affirmations require ACTION; dreams require DISCIPLINE. There is always passion in purpose. “Luck” is “effort” and “success” is what you put INTO life and life is for LIVING. Enjoy and love what you do as you do it, because you CAN, even as you live with discipline. Consistency, persistency, perpetually, creates reality and “dreams come true”. The “Universe” conspires “with” you to make it happen, but you must work WITH it.

Rejuvenation and healing – that is June. Greeting life with open arms: Mind, heart, and soul. Encompassing everything as a whole, for that is how it must be. The “only” way it “should” be. NO limitations and none placed on self, open to every possibility, considering every option, knowing endless opportunity exists. Risk to reach out and take it, understanding that sometimes it is there and sometimes you have to “create” it.

Do YOU. Believe in yourself and your Magnificence of Divine Being. You are a Child of God. Let your light shine. See your light. BE the light. Let the world see Him “in” you as you “live out” your soul. You were created for a purpose, with a purpose, ON purpose.

You have a purpose and you are special, precious, unique. You are you and you are loved. Embrace this knowledge. Know it, see it, feel it. Let it “soak” your mind, as much knowledge as it is “heart”, for together there is great power, for there is power in UNITY, greatness achieved through all things “complete”, and you ARE “complete”. Understand it. Accept it.

I accept you. I approve of you. I forgive you. I love you. And that –THIS – will make all the difference!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

MIRACLES

There are people in your life whom you will never forget, whether you live another hour or day or year or lifetime, and whether they are in your life or you have “let them go” for whatever reason was necessary. Yet even if the latter, though you may have “given them up to God” and “made your peace” with their time in your life, your heart can and often will still hold onto them as precious gifts and blessings you were given the joy of having for however short or long a term, your soul never giving up on them, even if their time has “passed”.

Sometimes those we thought “gone” from our lives can “return” or be “rediscovered”, the love we will always have for them smiling. No one is ever truly “lost” to or from us, choices either we or they make determining their absence or presence in our lives.

Miracles are not reserved only for the “worthy” or certain people, but everyone, and everyone is deserving of them in their lives. Whether you might have given up hope or tried to move on from the touching of another soul against your own, nothing in your past or present will hold you back from the possibility of a miracle now or in the future. And even if we have “released” another soul from ours for our own wellbeing and healing, one day the miracle might come to pass that rekindling relationship with that soul is part of our journey and ongoing growth.

Even if you “let go”, if someone touches you so deeply and inspires change in your life, never “give up” on them, for not all souls “develop” at the same rate and in the same scope, and in due time, what may not have been “ready” for you, or them, might one day “come into its own”.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

HEALING

Let go so you can grow. You might have thought you had let go, your smile so bright and happy of late, before one moment happens that pulls it from your soul like the darkness snuffing out the light of a candle. Letting go is never-ending, day by day until your soul’s smile remains unaffected no matter what.

Focus on what will heal you. It has been a long time coming, a process you thought almost complete until that moment. Yet, you know that when you think of it there is no more pain and you can smile at the memories and that which once caused great hurt and destruction. Focus on you here and now.

Release your soul into the wild. Allow yourself to do the things you might have always stepped back from. Take the risks your heart might have desired but your mind always fought and so you never dared before. Free the bounds that might hold you back from experiencing all of life’s wonders waiting for you.

Live, play, love and let life. Let loose your inner child again to roam free without thought through the landscapes of life. See the magic in the smallest things and revel in the beauty of a simple smile. Let your laugh echo, the sound of joy and delight in the beauty of life’s surprises.

Trust it all to work out. You would not be who you are now without where you have been. You would not become the person you will be tomorrow without the choices you make today on what you will leave and what you will take with you as you step into it. Let yourself truly heal and see what miracles can happen.

RISE UP

The night has passed in its darkness and all things hidden suddenly alight within it, words said and emotions wrought as a soul grasps itself together yet one more time. But yes, the night has PASSED and is no more. In that should be the same of what transpired within it: Let gone and let go and given to Him, for some things our soul should not bear if we want to stand unencumbered by chains of any kind, even those we might have once placed upon ourselves.

The day dawns, the fingers of light reaching across the sky reaching for you, to remind you that light pushes AWAY darkness and a NEW day has begun. A new day and a new time, giving you another opportunity to start fresh and claim it as your own, your life to walk forward in His grace and share YOUR light with the world.

As we grow in darkness, so too do we grow in light, and all that occurs in darkness will eventually be revealed in the light. Let not the darkness be the strength creeping in your soul, but take from it iron strength and indomitable will to mesh with the positive energy and healing love of the light.

HEART ADVENTURES

Sometimes things happen that you are UNprepared for. Sometimes they hit you, like a train crashing into you and you wonder how you could have been so blind all this time. Sometimes they are more subtle, like the lighting of a butterfly upon your finger. Either way, some of the most wonderful things in life and greatest adventures you embark on in life come from places you never would have expected, but that your HEART knows is RIGHT. They begin as tiny whispers in your soul, reaching out skeletal fingers towards your heart, slowly but surely creeping their way in like the mists of time, until you do not know when you cannot remember such longings and desires NOT being there, when your entire being did not shiver with delight at the way your life is unfolding and the miracles happening almost daily before you. And when you realize how PRECIOUS the dreams captured in the confines of such a small space are, you hold ONTO them as tightly as you can, hoping and wishing for their reality and to never end, because you cannot imagine your life without them in it, so dear do you cherish them.

Your life has taken a turn in a direction you might never have thought possible, twisted down a path you might never have considered to wander, floated over an ocean you might never have crossed, all because such an “adventure” began in your heart, filtered into by your soul, where your instinct and essence dreams and breathes. EMBRACE the life coming at you, the unknown, the wild, the scary, the passionate, the love. Embrace it and LIVE, knowing that there smiles in your soul satisfaction of being exactly where you are supposed to be, grateful for having listened to your instinct and steered from danger that might cause horrific devastation upon destruction already wrought. Now your soul is giving you a chance to HEAL, and it is healing you through a life of adventure, of love that is real, of companionship before only thought to have existed in fairy-tales and dreams. Embrace it, deep down in your core, in your heart where part of you lies hiding, and open yourself up, knowing that vulnerability is NOT a weakness, but in the end will only make you STRONGER and more APPRECIATIVE of life and all He has given you.
