"It's weird how it takes something really bad to point out who's really there for you. When it comes down to it, true friends are as rare as true love." - Lisa De Jong

I've never been one to have or want lots of friends and as I get older I appreciate even more the rare REAL of the people I let into my life. Sure, I sometimes make "mistakes", but now more than ever I am truly thankful and grateful for those friends I can say are FAMILY.

We all have that one who we want to travel with. Even those who do almost everything alone have one we desire to adventure and explore with, experiencing new things and "first times". Sometimes that realization hits when least expected. So much that it startles and can seem "scary" at first, but slowly comes to make sense.

We all have someone who we shine like no other with. Who brings out our inner child, the glow of utter and complete happiness undeniable to any who witness you together. That makes others wonder what secret there is between you that creates such sparkling delight in your energy.

We all have a soul with whom we inspire others. Simply just in our "being", because when we are with them we are changed, growing and glowing.

True friends are rare. And a tribe of soul sisters even rarer. But they are there. And there is little more powerful than such a tribe... Of women who understand each other. Who are not intimidated or threatened by other women. Who do not seek competition with other women. But who seek to empower each other, give strength and support one another, individually and collectively as they journey through life... There is great power in such a tribe. Real inspiration in that power. To power through and conquer every heartache, setback and curveball that life throws. Power through true unity and friendship... Be one of those women. One of the beautifully broken souls that builds up other beautifully broken souls, encouraging a life of happiness and healing (for all encountered). Someone who creates and cultivates a culture of "tribe" with other soul sisters. The rare friend who is "family" true to soul...

Almost all my life
I've wondered what "home" feels like;
Now I know: It's YOU.

it's simple. But when we're not,
the world interferes.
