MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

Everyone has their own path to walk and only they can know the true one to take. Even when uncertain their instinct will know; it will "direct" them towards what is "right" for them. Look inside your soul for the answers you seek, for they often rest quietly, waiting for you to be ready to listen. Ignore others' paths. Focus on your own and do it for you. If yours crosses anothers, very well, but remember that you have your own mission, vision and purpose. Be that. Live that. Be YOU.

THE K-DO ALLIANCE PHOTOSHOOT


There are so many things the world doesn't see. What moulds you, shapes you, creates what they DO see. I didn't realize until the day after just what doing the K-Do Alliance photoshoot would mean. What it would REVEAL. That my trip to New York would turn into something else entirely - a soul renaissance. Very few know of my past and any abuse - it's not something I'm proud of or ever wanted anyone to know; maybe because I think the world sees me as "strong", when that is not something a "strong" person allows or endures. Yet I refuse to see myself as a victim - "survivor" may be a better term, but not even that truly expresses what was done and overcome. Sometimes what makes us strong is what we go through and we don't know how strong we are until we ARE. There is irony in that. Anyway, it was not so much the photoshoot itself, but what it stood for and represented, connecting with the others involved and being there just in the atmosphere, that made the difference and created the subtle shift of change that would come. You might say it started a "domino effect" that had to be finished and it will not be finished until every last domino has fallen, every last wall and stronghold in my soul broken down and peered into. Something I thought I had ALREADY done, but have realized sometimes happens multiple times throughout our lifetime, as we change and evolve and grow. And sometimes simply because we can hide the truth from [even] ourselves so well we do not realize we have hidden it until something "triggers" an emotion or response that hits us like a flood and we are overwhelmed at its existence. The world sees strength and confidence when they look at me. They see positive encouragement and motivation and passion. They do not see what "drives" that, or the events and emotions behind the purpose for their happening and being.

^^^ I wrote those words a week after the K-Do Alliance photoshoot and are only now finally ready to share them, "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6).


In Continuum: The "soul renaissance" that began then has not been easy - many things since have caused enlightenment, often that which has emerged from the deep causing momentary collapse and destruction, and five months later I feel like I have embarked on a journey of memories and soul secrets, truths and realizations finally ready to be spoken; even as recently I have felt like I am sinking into the darkness; like the more light there appears to be, the more the darkness tries to swallow me. But we should REVEL in the light, not let ourselves be burned by it, understanding that illumination is only painful because it is cleansing us from the inside out, reshaping and recreating us as we learn and grow through the flames. I have learnt to be at peace with my demons, because the darkness is just as much a part of me as the light and always will be, but it the LIGHT I choose to now temper my soul, even as I know and understand how much the darkness is the only reason I can allow and now be thus. One can never know how many "dominos" there are, but this day, this moment, I realize that I have come close, if not to, the end of the pattern that began to topple and fall that day, spiraling through the strongholds, unlocking those "secrets" and confronting them, courage building in the vulnerability to be able to shine light on that darkness before others.

WINGS

We all have wings. We just don’t always see them. We don’t always feel them. Sometimes it takes darkness to reveal to us our light and those we love to help us realize the strength to embrace it. Sometimes it takes others seeing us as we are to be able to show us our beauty and seeing ourselves as they do to step into our power. So unfold your wings and take a leap of faith. See just how amazing you truly are.

MIRACLES

There are people in your life whom you will never forget, whether you live another hour or day or year or lifetime, and whether they are in your life or you have “let them go” for whatever reason was necessary. Yet even if the latter, though you may have “given them up to God” and “made your peace” with their time in your life, your heart can and often will still hold onto them as precious gifts and blessings you were given the joy of having for however short or long a term, your soul never giving up on them, even if their time has “passed”.

Sometimes those we thought “gone” from our lives can “return” or be “rediscovered”, the love we will always have for them smiling. No one is ever truly “lost” to or from us, choices either we or they make determining their absence or presence in our lives.

Miracles are not reserved only for the “worthy” or certain people, but everyone, and everyone is deserving of them in their lives. Whether you might have given up hope or tried to move on from the touching of another soul against your own, nothing in your past or present will hold you back from the possibility of a miracle now or in the future. And even if we have “released” another soul from ours for our own wellbeing and healing, one day the miracle might come to pass that rekindling relationship with that soul is part of our journey and ongoing growth.

Even if you “let go”, if someone touches you so deeply and inspires change in your life, never “give up” on them, for not all souls “develop” at the same rate and in the same scope, and in due time, what may not have been “ready” for you, or them, might one day “come into its own”.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

UNREPEATABLE

YOU ARE UNREPEATABLE. Not just for the fact that no one else can ever be you, but because, whether you know it or not, acknowledge it or not, there is something about you that has its own ”magic”. There is a magic about you that cannot be emulated or replicated by any soul other than your own, for it belongs only to you and you alone can “wield” it.

YOU ARE UNREPEATABLE. You have a light within you that no one else can hold or shine. Your light springs forth from the dreams in your soul and the hope in your heart, cast just the way it is because of everything that you have experienced and the darkness that it has had to manoeuvre around. Your light can never be lit in another soul, even though it has the power to spark alight the light of another soul.

YOU ARE UNREPEATABLE. Your life, although like any other life does, holds value, even though not everyone, sometimes even yourself, will see and appreciate that value, nor get a chance to know it. Your value is priceless to those who love you and you can never be replaced, and for some, you will be one of the rare treasures cherished forever in their heart and soul.

YOU ARE UNREPEATABLE. The words you speak, the way you say them, the sound of them on your lips, the song from your heart, no one else can say the way you do, utter such a melody as you. There is a magic about the way they fall from your lips and some will never forget what they hear as long as they live, and you may never know how much you can affect them.

YOU ARE UNREPEATABLE. Your life is an example, you an inspiration that others look up to, look to for guidance, for “light”. You are a motivation, even if you do not know it, and your life through your actions speaks volumes to other souls who might be needing the very thing that you are not saying. You touch more lives than you know, so never ever stop being you and doing what you do!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

I AM ENOUGH

The world will always entertain a thought process that seeks to enslave you, to try causing you to think that you need something or someone to “complete” you, wanting you to be reliant on others to survive, searching to capture souls to manipulate. But it is wrong, because you do NOT need anything or anyone else to be COMPLETE, and life strives to prove that by throwing obstacles in your way to get you to dig deep WITHIN YOURSELF, to bring forth the TRUE spirit of you.

Those who are not strong enough will not withstand the pressure, but those who are, even if they might never have thought it, will discover in such times their true STRENGTH and learn that they ARE ENOUGH. They will know that they are enough on their OWN, that they CAN stand alone and be ok, that standing alone IS ok, even if the world frowns upon it and seeks to take away their independence and freedom, to trap them in a cage it hopes they will settle in.

I AM ENOUGH on my own. I do NOT need anything or anyone else to complete me. I KNOW who and what I am and I am OK with that. I am COMFORTABLE in my own skin and need no one’s reassurance to stay that way. I am my OWN person, independent and free-spirited, always have been and always will be. I know what I want and will not accept anything LESS than I DESERVE. I CHOOSE to follow a path I cut for myself, whether the world “approves” or not, no matter how “alone” I may be on it.

That said I can WELCOME the presence of another, understanding that life seeks to create bonds between souls that will only STRENGTHEN who they are, both as individuals and together, bringing together like-minded souls who ADD a depth and richness to the other’s life that they cannot give themselves. This does not mean I am incomplete alone, only that I accept there ARE some things I can never give or experience by isolating myself.

I CAN now allow another into my world because I KNOW WHO I AM. Not everyone will be allowed in, rare few indeed, but those few will always be treasured for the INVALUABLE GIFTS they are, the BLESSINGS I realize He is bestowing on me. We may be able to be complete on our own, but we were not meant to WALK alone, and I know that now. I am enough on my own, but with another I can become so much MORE, as can they, desiring and seeking to unfold each soul to its full and complete potential.

LIFE AND YOU

Life is more complicated than a game of chess. It is more intricate than a fight that is so delicate it is almost a dance. It is easier to get lost in than a maze that reaches to the heavens themselves.

Life can be unbelievably frustrating. It can be crazy beautiful. And it can be scary dark.

But there is always an option. A choice that can determine whether you get to turn the tables on it and “take” the dice to “roll”. And that is YOU.

It is the human soul. It is the fire of determination that simmers inside. It is the roar of courage that wants to be let out. It is the boldness of a soul who knows what it wants and refuses to believe that it can be “stopped” from attaining the precious dreams it carries.

There are dreams that you have never let go of. There are dreams that have been planted and are waiting to be nurtured. There are dreams that were once a blooming garden and now lie as if dead.

All these dreams YOURS. What will you do? Where will you start? You must start somewhere. How about with the dreams closest to your heart? The ones that have given you hope to stay alive for when there might have been no other reason.

START. The first step. Often the BIGGEST step. Take it. Be determined. Be brave. Be bold.

Dare to take the risk. Dare to believe that it is meant for you. Dare to put your entire soul behind it because it is something you cannot let go of. DARE.

What have you got to lose? You will lose far more if you do not even TRY. Remember why you held such a dream close for so long and release the bonds holding you back from running after it. Run after it because it makes your soul sing. It causes your heart to beat lively. It keeps you in the “game” of life.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

NO SHORTCUTS

Life is TOUGH. It HURTS. It lets you achieve the pinnacle of “success” and then it kicks you down a cliffside faster than you can think. That’s life. Get used to it.

Get used to it. But DON’T accept it. DON’T let it beat you so much that you give up trying altogether. Don’t let it take away the ESSENCE of you and the spark that keeps you going and burning bright for others to see.

Life is tough BECAUSE it is PREPARING you. For what is to COME. It has to make sure that the you that eventually reaches the destination intended is a you that can LIVE there. It has to make sure that you have what it TAKES to live the life you want and achieve the dreams in your heart. It has to make sure that you’re STRONG enough to look fear in the face and release courage despite any and all odds.

The journey may be long AND hard. But without the journey the destination would not hold as much MEANING. It would not be APPRECIATED for the sacrifices required and the work that it took to get there. It would not see a soul that had been tested by fire and trialled through destruction come out as a “brand new” being capable of the ultimate AWARENESS of self and its world. It would not see a soul who understands that the true desires and dreams of the heart are worth EVERYTHING endured to get there.

Shortcuts create DEFECTS. Life wants to make sure that there are no defects in the “end creation” that steps into its final place of realized PERFECTION. It wants to make sure that the soul that holds its dreams in the palm of its hand is one who KNOWS the explicit emotion of having experienced the world through more than a looking glass. It wants that soul to see the DUALITY in everything and understand just what it takes to stand on the top of the world and look out over it. It wants a soul who knows its darkness and light and CHOOSES to live its truth in light.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

EVERYONE HAS A STORY

You have a story. I have a story. EVERYone has a story. A story about life; an event; a period; a moment; a truth; something significant that changed, whether it be in an instant or over time. Everyone has a beginning, middle, and end; some are just starting, whilst others are nearing the finish line.

What you see is NOT reality; it is not what WAS or what CAN be or what WILL be. It simply is what is right NOW, and “right now” can change in an instant. You canNOT look at a person and know what they have been through, where they have come from; you canNOT assume that just because someone LOOKS fit and healthy that they have ALWAYS been fit and healthy, or even that they ARE fit and healthy, because what one LOOKS like is no indicator of what they truly are INSIDE. Sure, looks may help reflect the lifestyle a person leads, even in fitness, but it does not mean that they ARE fit and healthy.

So before you are quick to have an IMPRESSION of someone you know NOTHING about, take the time to GET to know them. Ask them who they are and where they have been, and even more importantly, WHERE they are going and what they are taking from their experience. Where one has been gives you an understanding of where they are at now, and can help motivate not just them, but YOU as well, FORWARD.

You might be surprised to learn that the trainer who looks like a fitness model was once the “fat kid” at school, tormented until they reached a breaking point and turned their life around. Or that the woman who trains like someone possessed lives in constant physical pain every day, pushing through the pain because she knows the end result is worth enduring more pain. Or that the most motivating person you know projects positivity to hide the pain they feel inside, because they know that if they cannot help themselves at least they can inspire others to do great things.

What would you do if you KNEW these things? Would it change your PERSPECTIVE? Would it improve your AWARENESS? Would it make a DIFFERENCE?

EVERYONE has a story and you never know unless you ASK or they SHARE. You never know the impact YOUR story could have on another’s life, the difference knowing what you have been through and struggle with could have on someone you do not even know. So do not be afraid to let others know where you have been and what you have overcome to be where you are today.

It’s about COMMUNITY, making a DIFFERENCE, being there to HELP others create a BETTER life. SHARE TO INSPIRE!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LOSE NORMALCY. CLAIM AUTHENTICITY.

You were created UNIQUE for a reason. If God wanted you to be like everyone else He would have made a world of clones – He did NOT and no one individual has the same tune in their soul as another. No one is “normal” – even if the world tries to create such a label and seeks to place everyone under such an umbrella.

Standing OUTSIDE the umbrella – away from the “safety”, the “comfort zone”, the “normalcy” – the world is a very different place. But, it is more real – it embraces the opportunity for change AND growth. It does not care about the “expectations” under the umbrella and does not live by the unspoken “rules” governed there.

Under the umbrella you surrender your soul into the keeping of the world – you become “normal”. Outside the umbrella you might be alone, but you are allowed to EVOLVE – life is a constant revolution of your soul as you live and learn and perpetually “recreate”. Your life, although filled with “mistakes” and experiences that break or hurt or harden or open you, is REAL.

Living AUTHENTICALLY means casting aside the expectations of the world and living only with your OWN – you set the standards for yourself and all that matters is whether or not you live up to them. You set yourself apart – your life might be an example to others of a “rebel”, but they see you live and change and it creates “inspiration” to encourage them to step out from the umbrella into the open for them.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

WALK ALONE

There are times in our lives when the best thing for us is to walk APART. You might be one who has always walked alone even as you are with others and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes if those you walk with are not walking in the same eventual direction as you are, it’s better to separate and forge your OWN path or risk taking an extended detour or veering altogether from your ultimate destination.

It’s OK to walk alone. There’s a peace in stepping away from the crowd and making your own path, even though it will be harder and you may be criticized and judged harshly for it by those who do not understand it or you. Despite what the world thinks, it’s not about living for their needs, but ensuring that YOUR soul remains intact, as much as possible, because you cannot afford to lose it [again].

There is FREEDOM in walking alone. It can be harder, because you have to hold yourself accountable for every action you make, but when you are walking towards a vision, striding forward with a purpose, doing what you must and making no excuses becomes that much easier, because you know that in the end the only one responsible for where you end up is YOU.

It’s ok to LIKE walking alone and some of us have for much of our lives. Know though, that walking alone does not mean that you cannot allow others to join you on your journey, or that you cannot find delight in the pleasure of another’s company for a time, but your soul understands and accepts that it IS only for merely a moment in the space of infinity, no matter how precious.

Ultimately, you must do what is right for YOU. There is no shame in walking alone and it does not mean that you are isolated, even if you want to be and are for a time. There is no judgment in preferring walking alone and often it clears our soul, creating calm in confusion and reminding us of the reality of our dreams, so that we hold on tighter than ever as we BECOME.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIFE'S FLAMES

Life loves to test us. Sometimes it waits a lifetime to see what we are made of, desiring to surprise us suddenly to observe how we handle its disruption. Other times it seems intent on seeing how well we fare with what seems like setback after setback, to see if we’re truly what we say we are and to see what we can grow INTO.

Life can simmer or it can boil. It can allow your life to rest upon a single ember or it can immerse you in flames so hot you feel like you might burn up from the inside out. Either way, whether we survive the fire and how we come out reveals us to the world and sometimes to OURSELVES.

Life can create a monster or it can create a beast. The difference is that a monster knows no bounds to its fury and the havoc it wreaks based on the “injustice” it feels has been done to it, whereas a beast is a monster who realizes that every trial is a “lesson” and an experience with opportunity for great GROWTH.

Life can transform a monster into a beast. Once it quiets enough to understand and accept the challenges and struggles that face it. A monster of destruction can become a beast of growth, a far more powerful weapon because the difference it makes in the world creates an impact for the BETTER.

Life loves to bring chaos into being. Sometimes simply because it can, sitting back to watch what unfolds. Other times because there is a purpose, change to elicit the activation of the potential lying inside or the resurrection of the passion that might have almost died, so that we might become our BEST.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

A SINGLE DREAM

It’s not always the big things that matter. It’s not always “success”. Most times it’s the LITTLE things.

It’s the SINGLE dream in your soul – the one that matters more than anything else ever has or will. It’s that single dream that “carries” you through and makes each day worth waking up for. It’s that single dream that “sets” your footsteps for that day. It’s that single dream that you spend your life striving “for”.

Dreams are what keep us ALIVE. They give our SOUL something to cling to in the storm. They give us HOPE for tomorrow. They fuel the FAITH that everything will be “ok” in the end. Dreams are far more POWERFUL than any reality we might find ourselves in because they let us “wander”.

A SINGLE dream can spark a multitude of thoughts. A multitude of thoughts can create unlimited actions. Unlimited actions can make an infinite difference in not JUST your life. An infinite difference can have an effect beyond even the WILDEST imagining. The wildest imagining BEGINS with a single dream.

Dream a single dream but do not STOP there. Dream until you have NO more breath. Watch your dreams spark dreams and life into OTHER souls. Make a DIFFERENCE. BE the difference.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TOWARDS THE LIGHT

No matter where you are there is ALWAYS a light SOMEwhere, whether near or far, in or out of sight. REMEMBER that. Remember that the darkest night has a dawn rising AFTER, the inky blackness of space is lit with billions of balls of light, and the darkest heart is not completely devoid of the faintest glimmer of light.

When hope seems dark look for the LIGHT and let it revive you. Let the light push away at the shadows inside, pressing down the claustrophobia clawing up from the depths, the heartache threatening to overwhelm again. Let the light RENEW your heart, its gentle peace REFRESH your soul, the happiness of your inner CHILD loose in the world to make it all a wonder.

Dark BALANCES light, but some souls have more of one than the other, the other half hidden or not even half, having to find or discover it. The light exists for even the darkest souls and when it is sought even the shadows can begin to fade from the glow that the dawn spreads from the INSIDE out. Never forget that there is ALWAYS a light for us when we lose our way and we can always turn TOWARDS it.
