MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
UNEXPECTED LIGHT
There shines a light in EVERY soul. Sometimes we do not see
it within ourselves. But others do and they make mention. Yet sometimes that
light can become dark and needs to be relit. In those times the light shining
in OTHERS can “respark” our own and see us glow again.
Light can be found in the most UNEXPECTED of places.
Sometimes where we might never have thought it could come from. Surprising us
with the magnitude of which that light can shine. Yet sometimes that light can
become a source of comfort and looked forward to. In those times simply accept
where you are at this moment and just ENJOY the warmth of the embers being
stoked back to strength.
Light and dark. Sometimes we do not realize which of our “selves”
we let the world see. We do not realize when we sparkle so brightly or darken
the heavens. Yet sometimes we are more aware than ever of the effect we have.
In those times we come into a “soul awakening” and once aware we can never
become UNaware.
When your soul has been “woken” from its slumber life begins
to OPEN up. YOU begin to see how every aspect of light and dark affects you and
those around you. You begin to understand the IMPACT you can have on another
soul. You begin to take CONTROL as much as you possibly can over yourself and
your reactions to the world. You live CONSCIOUSLY. You seek to make every
aspect of your being and the world around you as “healthy” as possible and
encourage GROWTH in all areas.
Sometimes it is the most unexpected of lights that can
ILLUMINATE the “darkness” in our lives and aid in bringing us to the CONSCIOUS
awareness of “self”. Always be thankful.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
ADVERSITY
Adversity, hardships, obstacles, when life kicks you down so
low you don’t know how long it will take you to stand – that’s when you see the
TRUE measure of a person. That’s when you see their real CHARACTER. For when
the sun goes into hiding, if there is no true light in one’s soul, all that
will be seen will be the darkness seeping out from them. When the winds fare
not well on the ocean of life, then shall the temperament kept locked down in
the hold of their soul be unleashed.
When you come across adversity, you discover things about
yourself. Some might surprise you, even for those pure in heart, for they are
not what you thought you were capable of. Some do not, for the true soul, the
one who is not afraid to live transparently, has nothing to hide from those who
would seek to thrown stones at glass castles.
When you stand against adversity, you pull deep down to the
core. You find strength you might have never had to use before. You find
courage to use that strength. You find a hardness that would never have become
otherwise. You find that your soul has much more capacity to love and forgive
than you ever thought possible for you. You find different dreams hiding in the
crevices of your heart.
When you face adversity, you become so much MORE than you
are. You come through the fires of hell with any excesses burnt away, so that
all that is left standing is the true creature that you are. You come away with
greater knowledge of your soul and all that you are willing to do, understanding
better than ever that which has become dearest to your heart.
When you look adversity head on, you can know that it is
nothing more than another of life’s tests, a game meant to break you down to
your essence, so that you can know what you have. You can know what is at your
foundation. It destroys so that you can rebuild – into the person you have
potential and were always MEANT to be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
EDGE OF DIFFICULTY
Sometimes in our lives it seems like one thing after another
– if it’s not pain it’s conflict and if not conflict then another intense
emotion, and so on. Sometimes it seems like there is no “calm” and only
“storm”, one difficulty after another, obstacles that challenge us when we
might feel that we’ve already reached the limit of what we can handle at this
moment. Sometimes it can be hard to remember that He is guiding our paths and
to trust that He knows what He’s doing.
But we must – trust. Trust that He knows what He has to do to
us in order to make us stronger. To make us fully aware and capable of all that
He truly wants in our lives. To give us the courage and determination to never
ever “settle” or “lie down” and fight for what is ours and “right”. To push us
so that we have to acknowledge that we are but human and cannot do this on our
own strength and ask Him for HIS, knowing how futile was our own capacity the
last time we tried and fell and almost broke as we did.
Trust can be so hard – knowing what your trust has “given”
before. But He is not like the world and in Him your trust is NOT misplaced.
Even when it seems that He ignores you, when your faith can be even more tested
and trust questioned, He is not, because sometimes He wants you to learn from
what is transpiring, whether to take the risk to spread your wings and fly, no
matter how tentatively, or realize that He is the source of your strength and
power.
If you cannot fly – if you keep trying and fall time and
again, plummeting further each time it seems than the last attempt, when your
soul despairs so close to “giving up”, that’s when you just need to learn to
let go and let GOD. You might dream recurring of falling in endless black since
childhood, and sometimes yes, you may have “hit the bottom”, and in life you
may feel like you can and have fallen too far to be saved, but He can and WILL
catch you before your final resolution.
It takes a lot of courage to trust – even a little, let alone
completely. But we must hold onto faith and believe as we do all that WE can in
facing what faces us and trust that HE will do His part as we do ours. It is a
partnership relationship that sometimes you might feel you can give less than
you receive, but in doing even what you can and placing your trust in His
hands, you are allowing something much MORE to happen and can create much more
than you might ever fathom.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
CHNAGE IS
Change can be a scary thing. It can also be an exhirilating
feeling. It can open up your life to amazing opportunities never offered it
before. It can take you into the UNknown.
The unknown can cause a sense of FEAR. Fear of what is to
come and what it will mean; of failing expectation placed on you by yourself
and others; of falling too far down that you might not be able to pick yourself
back up. Fear is a natural response to change, but you do not have to let it
control you or the decisions you face and make.
Change is a big thing. It can mean many things to different
people, but more often than not, it means walking down ANOTHER path than the
one you were traveling on. It means trusting in your instinct, in your soul and
heart and dreams, having faith in something greater than yourself that this new
path is one that will only enrich your life in ways you cannot yet imagine.
Change means GROWTH. Without opening yourself up to it you do
not give your soul a chance to grow and “evolve”, and if you always stay where
you are, your life will become stagnant and stale, and then you are no longer
living but merely existing, which is no life at all. Change brings new life
into your own; new people who spark something in you that might never have been
sparked by anyone else; new dreams to embrace and build upon; second chances to
live the way you always wanted to and be the person you were always meant to
be.
Change, whilst initially “scary”, is nothing but wonderful,
especially when you reflect and see the path you have trodden, what has brought
you to this place and the life that awaits; beautiful because He has gifted you
with such opportunity to grow into the butterfly you have potential within
yourself to be, and soar to heights of GREATNESS.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
THE DREAMS THAT BREAK US
We ALL have dreams. And we all decide, consciously or not,
whether we pursue those dreams.
Some follow their hearts and have their dreams torn from
their chests while their hearts are still beating. Others never dare to even
contemplate the reality of their dream coming to pass. Who is the richer
individual do you think? The person who dared or the one who didn’t?
The person who dared follow their heart had a glimpse of
happiness from chasing that closest to their heart and being able to hold it if
even for only a short while, of joy from knowing that they are better from
having made the journey and becoming stronger, of fulfilment in knowing that
they had the courage to put themselves out there and just go after what they
wanted, daring to risk rejection or ridicule, the possibility of failure or
falling short of their goal, feeling that fear but doing it anyway, because NOT
knowing what it was like to pursue their dreams would be a fate worse than
death.
The person who had not the courage to even DARE to dream the
dream that is in their heart looks at the world with cynical eyes from
shattered illusions that have taken away their ability to see the hope, sadness
in their heart from knowing that they are potentially taking away and limiting
someone else’s happiness and ability for growth, regret in their soul from
always knowing what might have been and never knowing if it COULD have been,
because they were too afraid to take the risk and dare to TRY, those dreams
eking away at them inside, the pain of never knowing killing them a little more
each day.
Would you rather experience the feeling of satisfaction and
knowing that you did everything POSSIBLE to make your dreams a reality, LIVING
life as it was meant to be lived, lifted up to the most imaginable heights, no
matter how short it may have lasted; or would you rather experience a loss that
will break your soul into a million tiny pieces because you can glimpse hope of
the truth, but do not dare cross the line that could take that truth from a
dream to a living, breathing miracle?
Are you the one who tried or the one who didn’t? The one who
can look in the mirror and like what they see, or the one who cannot bear to
see their reflection because they are ashamed of their inaction? The one whose
soul, whether it falls or not, has seen inside heaven, or the one who has and
will only ever know hell? The broken one who knows that they LIVED before
breaking, or the broken one who never even tried to get up off the ground?
We all have dreams. Life is FULL of dreams. Many realized,
but also sadly, MORE that are never even a brief contemplation, cast aside from
fear.
It’s not what we DO that we will forever regret, but what we
do NOT dare to do, what we hope for but do not dare to DREAM. Can YOU live with
that?
Remember, life is meant to be LIVED, experienced in ALL its
GLORY. How can you do that if you do not even DARE?

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
AFTER ALL YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH...
The tears and pain and sacrifice. The sleepless nights and
days spent in exhaustion. The masked smiles to hide the truth. The not knowing
and confusion and frustration. The
hoping and holding onto the faith. The belief in something better all keeping
you tethered here. After all that…
It’s something you want more than ANYthing else in the world.
It’s something that made you feel ALIVE before it tore you to pieces. It’s
something that gave you a new sense of direction. It’s something that you NEVER
want to let go of. It’s something your life will always have missing if it is
gone. It’s the CLOSEST thing in the world to your heart. After everything that
has happened…
Don’t you DARE give up on it! You’ve come this far. You’ve
been to hell and back more times than you can count. Remember all the reasons
you determined to stay true to this, your soul. Remember what it feels like to
be in that place of unimaginable happiness. You know what COULD be, so DON’T
just know, but MAKE it be! After all you’ve been through…
You’ve let it build you up and destroy you, and every time
you get STRONGER. You’re NOT a quitter. You’ll fight for it with EVERYthing you
are because when you have the hope, the promise, of something you have wanted
all your life, you do NOT just give up on it and quit! YOU FIGHT FOR IT! AND
NEVER LET GO! Because you know it’s WORTH it!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
RELEASE
Sometimes we need to have discussions with others because
they may ask questions we do not consider, view aspects we do not realize as “important”,
seeing us and the world through “fresh” eyes and a change in perspective. I had
a conversation a few days ago that caused reflection; a question asked that
made me sit back and think because I had never considered it before. Why is it
that we can “not” do certain things when they seem so simple? What is “preventing”
us from doing it? What is “blocking” the “flow” of action and ease of
interaction with not just others [at times] but also with ourselves?
What IS it that is holding you BACK [no matter the area of
your life]? You might need to search deep to find the answers; it might be
uncomfortable and difficult and there could be inner turmoil as you struggle
with your demons in the darkness and depths that have to be ventured into, but
when you find those answers life will become much EASIER. You need to be OPEN
to what you find, understanding that the answers may not be what you thought;
perhaps an issue you never even realized was an issue or something long thought
resolved. Whatever it is, you need to “see” and KNOW it with your ESSENCE.
To do that you have to uncover whatever it is that is holding
you back, do more than “discover” it, because that is just the first step of
the process; you need to not just “see” it but UNDERSTAND it and truly KNOW in
and with everything that you are, because only when you do that can you
ultimately RELEASE it. When you release and “let go” of it you can then “speak”
far MORE than words. When you speak “knowledge” from your CORE and not just
from your mind, you are one step CLOSER to being able to walk and live the life
you want [and need].
You OWE it to yourself to take that step; to stop and reflect
and ask yourself the “hard” questions you might not have wanted to ask or not
known until now to ask; to search BELOW the surface of what “appears” to be to
what truly IS; to understand and get to know yourself on a level you might have
never known before. When you are in true alignment with your soul you need not
doubt, but simply act, because everything else becomes simpler; life becomes
simpler, because you know what you need to do and have NO hesitation or unconscious
inhibitions in doing it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
[Him aside] only YOU know what is truly best for you. Others
can tell you what you “should” feel or be and that it’ll be “ok” in the end.
All very well and good, but there is NO “should” and sometimes the “end” is an
endless journey that stretches on with heartache after heartache and darkness
after darkness and epiphany after epiphany, constantly changing and moving,
living as much as you.
What was “best” for someone else in a similar situation or
having experienced such emotion is NOT always going to be best for YOU. Highly
likely that it won’t even be CLOSE to what is “best” for you. Others can SHARE
their experiences and offer advice, but ultimately it is simply a source of “support”
and guidance, because nothing and no one can truly tell you “how” it “should”
be.
Your soul might seem like a contradiction in the feelings
buried deep within it and the emotion visible [to those with discernment] on the
surface, but it has its own way of processing everything and it must be allowed
to without “forcing” from anything or anyone. In its time, which no one can
set, it will “sort” through the chaos to “find” the centre again.
There is no “right” or “wrong” way when it comes to soul
evolution. Soul awakening is a painful realization and the journey does not end
at the start, but merely begins, and there is only ONE way for YOUR soul and
that is its OWN. Follow the whispers from INSIDE and “find” your own truth in
the chambers that illuminate your essence.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
NO SHORTCUTS
Life is TOUGH. It HURTS. It lets you achieve the pinnacle of “success”
and then it kicks you down a cliffside faster than you can think. That’s life.
Get used to it.
Get used to it. But DON’T accept it. DON’T let it beat you so
much that you give up trying altogether. Don’t let it take away the ESSENCE of
you and the spark that keeps you going and burning bright for others to see.
Life is tough BECAUSE it is PREPARING you. For what is to
COME. It has to make sure that the you that eventually reaches the destination
intended is a you that can LIVE there. It has to make sure that you have what
it TAKES to live the life you want and achieve the dreams in your heart. It has
to make sure that you’re STRONG enough to look fear in the face and release
courage despite any and all odds.
The journey may be long AND hard. But without the journey the
destination would not hold as much MEANING. It would not be APPRECIATED for the
sacrifices required and the work that it took to get there. It would not see a
soul that had been tested by fire and trialled through destruction come out as
a “brand new” being capable of the ultimate AWARENESS of self and its world. It
would not see a soul who understands that the true desires and dreams of the
heart are worth EVERYTHING endured to get there.
Shortcuts create DEFECTS. Life wants to make sure that there
are no defects in the “end creation” that steps into its final place of realized
PERFECTION. It wants to make sure that the soul that holds its dreams in the
palm of its hand is one who KNOWS the explicit emotion of having experienced the
world through more than a looking glass. It wants that soul to see the DUALITY
in everything and understand just what it takes to stand on the top of the
world and look out over it. It wants a soul who knows its darkness and light and
CHOOSES to live its truth in light.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
BE YOURSELF
Sleep eludes, but sometimes in the quiet solitude of darkness there comes truth in our soul. Softly creeping, almost as if not to reopen emotion and wounds desperately trying to be healed, even as the soul tears are crying out to Him to give a new heart. Truth whispers and reminds to boldly chase your dreams, refusing to let another hold power over the heart that acts upon the desires embedded there since forever, because those dreams mean everything and hope is the only thread holding this soul to the world. Let not your unique soul slip away, but reveal and speak itself with daring and such passion that others cannot help but hear the heart hidden, knowing and understanding even the words unspoken. Allow such freedom of soul and self that random is expected, not always knowing what will come even as instinct might, tentatively holding open a fragile cocoon encased with ice and hardness because it still has faith and wants to believe that even if it hurts again, it has to be better than what was. The truth whispers as you've always been, wanting more, asking more, expecting more, knowing what beauty and light have been seen and can be again, strength more than can be imagined but not always needing to be proved, allowing self to simply be. Soul whispers be yourself, simply unapologetically, perfectly imperfect, uniquely beautiful, crazy wonderful, you as you are.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
SOUL JOURNEY
Our lifetime is made up of many
journeys. Journeys that make and break us, shape and mould us, past and present
determining what we shall become in the future, the most important of all that
of our soul, the path to spiritual enlightenment, the metamorphosis of our
innermost core as we traverse the journeys of life. Each journey we take in the
physical has spiritual ramifications and often affect us far more than what the
world can see, turning our souls inside out, upside down, twisting and
contorting it until we are not sure we will ever be able to recognize ourselves
when we come out the other side of the purging fire.
Each journey we take and every person
we cross paths with leaves a footprint on our soul, teaching us valuable
lessons and to show us how significant we are in the fabric of the universe.
Love and loss, success and tragedy, ecstasy and pain, are all tools of the
world to touch us, to create the destiny of our souls, the tumultuous journey
that will leave us tempered like the rarest and most beautiful of diamonds,
born of the greatest pressure and heat, crushed beyond life itself and shining
forth a brilliant light from an indomitable spirit.
With strength and purity of heart we
will survive anything, our soul’s journey one that is never-ending, each step
one step closer to becoming the highest being and ultimate version of us that
we can aspire to.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
PATH TO "BECOMING"
Everything that I have been through up to this point is my
PAST. The past is GONE and yes, we are supposed to let it GO. BUT…That does NOT
mean that we ever forget it, for it has played an ESSENTIAL role in creating
the person we are TODAY. Every experience, every tear, every smile, every
heartache, every joy, every person who has entered and left, every sunset and
dawn, everything has contributed to our personal and spiritual growth and
development. Everything has advanced our MATURITY as an individual and in LIFE.
EVERYTHING. There is NOTHING that is insignificant, even though some events
stand out as milestones on the path we have traversed.
My past has taught me. It has given and it has taken from me.
It has forced me to bend and break and yield. It has caused me to rise and
fight and determined strength. It has been a path through plains of drought and
fields of plenty, up mountains of struggle and down waterfalls of ease, and
through it all, I have been moulded.
My past may have helped “create” me, but it does not DEFINE
me. I am NOT my past. I am who I CHOOSE to be. I am what I have chosen to TAKE
from my past, what I have ALLOWED to creep inside my soul and reside there,
pulling my heart and guiding my mind in its formation of life and purpose.
I can look back on my past and see the steps, the journey,
the experiences that have been the biggest “turning points” in my life. I can
recognize the PEOPLE who have had the most impact on my soul and created the
most development in my being. I can understand that from my SOUL stems my
feelings about life, starting unconsciously, until it manifests either in heart
or mind, through emotion or vision. I can ACCEPT that EVERYTHING has been a
part of my path to AWARENESS, my journey of growth and development.
Everything current and future will eventually too become part
of my past, part of my journey, my STORY. Everything that has happened, is
happening, or will happen, is IMPORTANT. But not as important as SEEING it as
it happens and understanding that not all things in life will shape us in the
way we desire, but instead in the way that we NEED, in order for us to become
ALL we CAN be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
You’ve “remade” yourself more times than you can count.
You’ve sculpted your body numerous ways over the years as goals and priorities
change. You’ve transformed yourself like a chameleon. And now you’re about to
do it AGAIN…
It’s a new season. The perfect time to “reinvent” yourself in
the model that you want to be, the version of you that will best REPRESENT you
in the days ahead, the example that you want to give and BE to the world. Today
starts a NEW day, a new week, a new SEASON. It is your chance to start “over”
and create the you that you want to be and see. It is your time to get it
“right”, with no falling off the trail or veering from the path to another
destination other than the one you have set yourself.
The signs in the road you’re walking on say “under
construction”. It is true of life and it is true of YOU. From this day forward
YOU are UNDER CONSTRUCTION, piece by piece, one step at a time, minute
inspection of the being you are and calculating the length of time to the
endpoint in your mind. It is time to put up the mental signs to keep you “on
track”, pull out the demolishing equipment, and whittling away the parts of you
that have NO place in your future.
It’s not just your BODY under construction, but your MIND as
well. The way you think, how you perceive the world and that which is in it,
your place and role in life, exploring the ULTIMATE version of you inside AND
out, so that, come the end of the season (or however long it takes you to build
your masterpiece), you are everything you WANT to be. And then some…
Your new body is under construction. Your soul is undertaking
the hardest journey of all in making the mental parallel of that physical
“transformation”. YOU are beginning from the very start the life and you that
you always dreamed of being and are MEANT to be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
IMPERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL
Life is never going to be “perfect”. There are always going
to be perfect MOMENTS in a world that is in destruction. There is always going
to be BEAUTY in the deep dark ugliness of a world that is becoming more
dangerous by the day. There is always going to be LOVE amidst the hate that
seems to surround some. And it is that love that we should HOLD onto. It is the
love we should focus ON. It is the love that we should see as beautiful in an
imperfect world, making it “perfect” for the moments frozen in time in your
mind as memories that cannot and will not ever fade away, no matter how long
passes.
The world is never going to be “perfect”. No one IN it is
ever going to be perfect. But there CAN be someone who is “perfect” for YOU.
There IS someone who fits the other half of your soul like they were the piece
of a puzzle you were in; the piece you never even knew was missing until they
came along. There is someone who UNDERSTANDS your soul and loves you for who
you ARE, not what you can do or give or be, or any potential to come (even
though they will always PUSH you to your potential, because they only want to
see you become all that you CAN be), but for who you are, deep down in the most
inner sanctum of your soul that no one but they ever get to see. That IS beauty
in a world that will always sit beauty alongside the beast.
Life, the world, people, AND you, will always be IMperfect.
But that does not mean that it cannot be “perfect” in pieces, that there cannot
be beauty in the imperfection, that it cannot be a place where HAPPINESS
resides inside your soul. Perfect moments will always exist in an imperfect
world. Looking for the moment creates spontaneity. Freezing the moment captures
the memory. Getting lost in the moment is LIVING it. And life is meant to be
lived, and lived to the FULL, as best we can, as we LOVE.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
YOUR HEART
“Sometimes God doesn’t change the situation because He’s
trying to change your heart.” This really hits home, especially with everything
that’s happened in the last quarter. I have to remind myself that “everything
for a reason”, even when I am on my knees crying “WHY?! Why could You possibly want
me HERE? For what purpose?” I don’t pretend to understand everything God does
and why. Sometimes what He asks or wants us to do begs the question “WHY?!” but
living on faith means we do trusting that HE knows what He’s doing.
The heart is a strange creature. Mine has almost always been
hidden. It’s been locked up tight and guarded, like Sleeping Beauty’s castle
surrounded by thorns, so no one gets in [and nothing gets out]. But He slowly
started changing me in recent years and I let the determined “creep” their way
inside. I let the “spell be broken” and the walls start crumbling down, the
thorns gradually disappearing. Even as I kept a guard on watch, for still entry
was to be granted only a rare few, albeit the world being able to “see” the
tower and that there was a glimmer of light [not always cold] radiating from
it.
But the day came when there was great destruction in the
tower and the light did not glow as bright. There came a dawn of frost and a
sheen of ice layered over the black. The storm passed, but not completely, and
the harsh winds and vicious frost cause the ice to linger, even as the tiny
flicker of fire inside the tower kept a small portion of it melted. The tower
withstood the weather, retreating back away from the world despite remaining in
the open, no longer as solitary as it had once been, seeing other towers in the
distance, but realizing how isolated it had made itself and that only the truly
determined would fight the elements and try to understand the terrain to make
their way even to the base of the cliff that it rested upon.
It’s the little things that start adding up. It’s the
glimmers of understanding that flicker in and out of view. It’s the moments of
clarity amidst the fog that keeps one’s heart going, determined to make it
through the storm, even if it doesn’t truly understand WHY. It’s finally
realizing that sometimes God ALLOWS the storm and He KEEPS it in place until
something INSIDE us changes, until WE start to change, until our HEART begins
the transformation. It might take a day, a week, a month, a year, or longer,
but He WILL take the time it needs to make the change. He WILL keep the winds
blowing, the frost shivering, until that tiny flicker of fire is “fed” and allowed
to light and heat more than a single room, shining light from the tower out
into the world despite all that is going on around it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
TODAY
Last year I wrote on dreams – the ones in our heart and soul
that give us something to “live for” and then the ones that we LIVED. It has
been a long year and I have watched my dreams [sometimes] be almost the only
threads holding me here, some given only to be cruelly snatched away, some
change with time, and some stay unwavering, as others that had started to peek
out returned to slumber.
Dreams can be so much, yes, but they can also take away as
well, and we have to be careful what dreams we allow to dwell in our hearts and
rest on our souls, for in the end those dreams are the ones that “become” us,
as we merge everything we are into them. Dreams can destroy us or they can
create us, forge a demon or angel.
Life itself is indeed a “dream”, but in a dream we can only
act in the moment. Today that moment is now – it is called “today”. Yesterday
is an opportunity gone and if not taken, might be lost forever, and tomorrow is
an opportunity not yet come and might not come to pass, so you have to make the
most of TODAY and the opportunity presented TODAY.
You can seek solace in memories or you can build castles on future
aspirations. Better yet, you can give yourself into the action of creating and
living a dream - YOUR dream, NOW, TODAY, in the present moment, allowing your
soul to be open to the possibilities waiting, your heart [cautiously] open to
those knocking, your mind open to something that might have been considered
unentertainable in the past.
Time changes our souls, and when our souls change, so do our
hearts and minds. A year is such a short period and this last one has gone by
so fast that I still remember this day last year like it was yesterday, even as
it has also been a lifetime that has aged my soul far more than the simple span
of a year, to the point of where I wonder if I will recognize myself in another
year.
But, whatever comes, whatever happens, who and what I have to
face to fight for my right and worth in this world, I know that the decisions I
make TODAY will play their part in determining tomorrow, and that tomorrow is
uncertain, so while what might be might be, I will be grateful for the
blessings I have TODAY, acknowledging and accepting the love and life, as I
keep my faith and believe for my future.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
REBORN
Sometimes we need to die in order to know what it truly means
to live. Sometimes we need to forget our lives before and just let ourselves
live in the now. Sometimes we need to break down the walls of everything we were
and create a new being. Sometimes we must experience the greatest happiness and
have it torn from us and suffer, so that we can see the truth in the
destruction and pain, and give ourselves a real chance to make our world right
with a brand new beginning.
Dying does not always mean leaving everything you were
behind. You will never be completely different, even as you are not the same
person that entered the flames. Dying means burning away the weakness and
developing the strength, finding new strength and sharpening the edges of the
resolve that helped you survive so long. The difference will be in what the
world sees, their eyes suddenly open as realization that you have always been
what you said you were, but now you will not hide any part of it.
Dying is valuing yourself enough to take a stand, to admit
you’re not invincible, not infallible, not a machine, and knowing when enough
is enough and it’s time to start taking care of you, instead of just always
pushing through and taking on so much you know there will eventually come a
breaking point. Dying is reaching that breaking point and letting it go. It is
letting yourself be broken, but not accepting such a state, putting yourself
back together with wisdom alongside strength, so it does not happen again.
Dying means letting go of anything that might have held you
back. It is finding complete acceptance in all that you are, all aspects of
light and dark in your soul and now, instead of the darkness keeping you alive,
choosing to let your light be the source of what keeps you going. It is
embracing the woman who has long hidden inside the warrior’s armour, letting
your heart be seen even as you still keep it locked up and only precious few
inside, those rare true souls who truly cherish and understand it.
Dying is making one sacrifice for another. The sacrifice you
make though you know will be worth it, for each evolution of you tears away the
layers that were once a cold, emotionless machine who chose to be a rock island
in the world, revealing the true heart that has been buried so deep for so
long, breathing new life into it. Terminator to Warrior to Angel, saved by
grace and reborn by fire, stronger and wiser and finding the beauty in the
beast, walking forward without looking back.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
BLOOMED AND BECOME
Love is something I always shunned and scorned, never wanted
for myself (at least, never admitted to myself or anyone else), seeing the
heartache it created, not wanting the hurt and pain that seemed inevitable in
every “example” of it I saw. Not that I was afraid per se, although when you
spend a lifetime building walls around your heart to guard yourself from hurt,
that would indicate some “fear” (at least, to those that perceive), but I saw
it as weakness and did not want weakness. But sometimes allowing the very
things that you are “afraid” of are ultimately what you “need” to set your soul
FREE.
So I took the chance. I stopped “fighting” what was happening
and just LET it happen. And in that I experienced happiness greater than any I
ever thought I might, dreams in my heart that had never dared raise their head
for fear of being extinguished on the spot suddenly revealed. Letting love in
was a beautiful thing, aspects of myself that I would not have otherwise let be
seen exposed to the world, those in my life watching me bloom and blossom in
ways that they would never have believed without seeing it for themselves.
But in welcoming the love, I also opened myself up to the
hurt and pain I had seen so many times before. I made myself vulnerable in
caring about something more than life itself. Love was a weakness that made me
open to attack, to destruction that would likely never have had the opportunity
to be wrought before. Yet, (and not without great struggle), I accepted that
vulnerability, allowing the love to change me, knowing that nothing about such
a blessing was ever intended NOT to create unfathomable change in a soul, even
if the ways in which that change would eventuate and close would not be all
beautiful.
I loved. I bloomed. For a time I held heaven in my hands, and
then the inevitable crashing of the world that had been built on dreams and
faith and hope and love took the light that had begun to glow so brightly. And
in the dark more change occurred as a different strength that might never have
been sought or manifested before emerged, grace allowing forgiveness without
complete understanding, and the broken rising
to stand tall and proud. For to “become” I needed BOTH light and dark to fully
comprehend what was and had been, that light needed not always reason to
sparkle and the me required in this world.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
BELIEVE
Believe in your soul that He only wants the BEST
for you. Believe in your heart that dreams DO come true. Believe in your mind
that you have only just BEGUN your journey to happiness. Believe with your eyes
what a GIFT has been given you.
Believe and never stop believing that GOOD things
DO happen. Miracles ARE real and they are EVERY day. He only wants to BLESS you
with what you deserve. To TRANSFORM your soul so that you are ready to become
the person you were intended to be. The person who will change the world where
you are, little by little, piece by piece, touching the lives of those around
you, to make what different you CAN.
Believe in your soul that you are destined for
GREATNESS. Believe in your heart that you CAN achieve anything you want.
Believe in your mind that such joy as you desire is NOT out of reach. Believe
with your eyes that the one standing before you is REAL.
Believe in the DREAM you find yourself walking
in. Life CAN be a fairy tale is you open yourself up to the possibility.
ANYthing is possible for the one who believes with everything they are, giving
all they have, willing to step out one more time on the glass ledge and risk
that they hold most precious. For NOT to risk is to potentially miss out on the
greatest blessing that He ever intended for you to have.
Believe. ONE simple word. So much FAITH. BELIEVE
and NEVER
stop!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY
DEAR GOD, THANK YOU
For what has BEEN – I might not have completely
understood it at the time, but I do now, knowing it was NECESSARY to bring me
to this point. For the experiences given – without which my soul would not have
been changed that my heart would be able to be open enough to share, and in the
sharing be able to touch lives in ways I might not have been able to before,
making room for more difference to be made and a hand that would never before
have been offered to be given. For the intertwining threads – the souls allowed
to touch mine have marked me far more than they will ever know, impacted me more
than anyone might ever see, created strength that can be sensed by those who
have known me, changed me in both beauty and pain but ultimately for the
BETTER.
For transforming my SOUL – I will always be what
I was, but not what I was as I move FORWARD through life, living and learning,
the old ways of survival still would work but now not what I want to use,
knowing their weaknesses and taking only their strengths with me into the
future I am walking into; having fallen and risen, broken and rebuilding, lived
and died and been reborn for the second time, an even newer and wiser creature
emerging from the flames, not the Terminator I started out as or the Warrior I
became, but an Angel of neither white or black; standing alone but not alone,
the integral fundamentals unchanged even as everything is changed.
For EVERYTHING that is – TRANSFORMING my soul as
it needed and needs to be, so that I can be everything that I need and should
be, so that I can do and be everything I am meant to; all of it for Your glory,
proof that prayers do get answered and miracles do exist, the lost can be found
and the hardest of hearts made soft, walls can be broken down and ice can be
melted, blank masks can become genuine smiles as life continues and opens up
before me; stepping forward in faith across the invisible bridge over the chasm
below.
