THE FUTURE

We don’t know what the future holds. We cannot predict it. But - we CAN HOPE for it. We CAN TRUST in His promises and have Faith that He knows what He’s doing, the way He’s moulding our circumstances - turning negatives into positives, fears into dreams, failures into opportunities - so that we can have nothing but the BEST. He ALWAYS has something WAITING for us, even if WE make the choices that might eventually take us AWAY from those things. After all, we DO have FREE WILL, the power of CHOICE, and what we do is not always in line with what He would want us to do. But, it IS our life, and we HAVE that grace.

We do not have dreams in our hearts for NO reason, so if you have one that CONSUMES you, then know that it is there for a PURPOSE. You might not know what for - and if you do, then more power to you - but when you DO, then nothing but good things can eventuate from its fruition, no matter how hard the journey there might be.

Even if we have a dream in our heart, it is not meant to STAY there. It is meant to be SHARED. You’re NOT alone on your journey to bringing it about. And if you have a dream, YOU cannot wait for Him to just “do it” for you - YOU must get out there and DO it yourself. YOU need to build the foundation, start the framework of your masterpiece, find the tools to help you, the people who will build with you, make the final decisions on anything important. He might place a dream there, or it might be OUR dream, born from the passion He instilled in us, but it is up to US to ultimately DO something about it.

I don’t know what my future holds. But I know what I WANT it to hold. I know what my heart HOPES for it to hold. And I know what I must do to get there. The journey is not going to be easy by any means, but it is one that I am WILLING to take, obstacles I will run THROUGH, chase away any shadows of doubt with the light of belief. Whatever happens, I know that He is looking out for me, that if my dreams are in line with HIS dreams for me, then there is an incredibly amazing and wonderful future ahead of me, beautiful and BLESSED and well WORTH waiting for.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

WORTH WAITING AND FIGHTING FOR!

Your heart knows what it wants. And it knows what it’s prepared to do to get it. If it’s something you TRULY desire and long for above anything, you WILL do WHATEVER it takes - wait as long as it takes, fight as much as it takes, suffer as much as it takes, until your dreams manifest as reality.

Waiting teaches us patience. It is probably the one thing above all else that shows us how much we truly want something. Waiting suffers the battles, the fights, the struggles, the torment, the pain, the tears. It’s NOT giving up when things seem bleak, hope desolate and lost beyond belief. It’s having faith that no matter what, you WILL persevere, that it will all be WORTH it in the end.

Nothing great ever comes easy. It is always going to be a battle, because that is the way of life. It sorts out the wheat from the chaff, determines who REALLY has it in them to touch their dreams. After all, if you’re not fighting with EVERYthing you are and have, then you’re not really fighting, and if you’re not really fighting, then it means whatever it is you are fighting for does not mean that much to you.

Pain is just one price we pay for our dreams. Sometimes it is the most costly of all, because the road to our heart’s desire is neither short nor easy, and the most beautiful of things cannot be touched, but they must be felt. The most beautiful things in life often come out of the most intense and immeasurable pain, drawn from a soul that refuses to let go or give in or give up, knowing that even the deepest torture is nothing to endure to see their dreams alive and living.

When your heart wants something, TRULY desires it, you will find within you the STRENGTH to endure and overcome ANYthing in the pursuit of it. So hold TIGHT to your dreams, NEVER give up hope, and always have faith that every minute, every fight, every tear is WORTH it!

AFTER ALL YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH...

The tears and pain and sacrifice. The sleepless nights and days spent in exhaustion. The masked smiles to hide the truth. The not knowing and confusion and frustration.  The hoping and holding onto the faith. The belief in something better all keeping you tethered here. After all that…

It’s something you want more than ANYthing else in the world. It’s something that made you feel ALIVE before it tore you to pieces. It’s something that gave you a new sense of direction. It’s something that you NEVER want to let go of. It’s something your life will always have missing if it is gone. It’s the CLOSEST thing in the world to your heart. After everything that has happened…

Don’t you DARE give up on it! You’ve come this far. You’ve been to hell and back more times than you can count. Remember all the reasons you determined to stay true to this, your soul. Remember what it feels like to be in that place of unimaginable happiness. You know what COULD be, so DON’T just know, but MAKE it be! After all you’ve been through…

You’ve let it build you up and destroy you, and every time you get STRONGER. You’re NOT a quitter. You’ll fight for it with EVERYthing you are because when you have the hope, the promise, of something you have wanted all your life, you do NOT just give up on it and quit! YOU FIGHT FOR IT! AND NEVER LET GO! Because you know it’s WORTH it!

HOPE

Hope [dreams and faith] keep us alive, give us something to look to, a thought for the future, there for all of us when we have nothing left and feel like we are all alone in the world, so broken and beaten that we fail to see to see even the faintest glimmer of light in the darkness.

Hope gives us a path to light the way, a direction to head towards on our journey through life, until we know where it is that we are going and are in a place to make our own decisions with conscious thought, taking back what is ours, ownership over our hearts, minds, and lives.

Hope is always there, holding out its hand to all those who have the strength to reach out a fragile hand to reach it, touch it, grasp it, and hold it closely to their hearts, letting its faith seep into them and lighting an even brighter fire within.

Hope lies in each and every heart, no matter how many layers it is hidden beneath, sometimes taking drastic and dramatic measures to reveal it and bring it to the fore, and is all I have left tethering me to this world, my heart desperately holding onto a dream that it longs for as a reality.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

PRETTY AMAZING

OPEN your eyes to the world you live in. Open your HEART to the blessings you have been given. Allow the WONDER of everything to seep through your soul.

Think of the MIRACLE of life. Think of all the POSSIBILITIES that exist. Know that you are BEAUTIFUL in this world filled with ugly.

Believe that everything happens for a REASON. Believe that you CAN make a difference. Embrace the experiences that life has given you and the love you are surrounded by.

He knows your heart. He knows your mind. He knows infinitely more about you than you could possibly fathom.

When you open yourself to the fullness of everything, open your mind to the potential of anything, and open your soul to believe in the glory of Him and all you have and are, you will see that life truly is pretty AMAZING. REVEL in that knowledge, that feeling, the emotion evoked in the core of your being. Revel in it and LIVE it – an amazing life!

YOUR ANGELS

Too often we take the people in our lives for granted, failing to see the blessings they are until they are gone from us, until we have “lost” them and realize what a hollow they create with their absence. Everyone is a reason, a season, or a lifetime, and no matter how short or long their stay in our sphere of life, they EVOLVE some aspect of it, of US - whether they make us more aware of who we are and what we are capable of, give us experiences that cause either tremendous pain or joy so that we learn the meaning of what it is to truly grieve or be happy, or simply teach us to appreciate life in ALL its facets of perfections and flaws and ACCEPT ourselves in it.

Sometimes we recognize too late the “angels” we have been given to guide us through or walk beside us in and on our journey through life. The awakening of such awareness as it is HAPPENING is not something everyone gets, but if you are lucky enough to have such a GIFT, especially as your life is intertwined with another, be grateful for it, thankful for what they ADD to your life, taking pleasure in and acknowledging the DIFFERENCE that would not be thus without their presence.

Angels come in many forms and guises, not always as you might expect and almost always impossible to forget. When your soul is OPEN you will know them, seeing with your HEART instead of through physical sight or analysis of logic and reasoning, and when you see you canNOT go back - only FORWARDS.

Learn to be AWARE and realize how good life is, how WONDERFUL a place the world can be, how faith and hope can be RENEWED in a heart almost gone dark, and APPRECIATE the true value of every soul who touches your own.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

KEEP TRYING

So you “failed”. You got let down. You were disappointed. That’s life. It happens. The world is full of imperfect people. Including you. That’s not reason to beat yourself up over it. It’s in the past now. So let it go. See the lesson. Learn it. Move ON.

KEEP TRYING. You might “fail” again. But you also might succeed. And that is why you take the risk. Because if you never try you can never succeed. If you never try you can never fail. And if you never fail you will never learn. Without learning you will not move forward.

HOLD ON. Sometimes hope is the only thing that keeps us here. Even when we feel like giving up. Sometimes all we need is that one thing to keep us going. That one dream. That one hope. That one spark that burns no matter how dim or bright in our soul.

ALWAYS BELIEVE. You might be the only one. But you won’t always be. Not when the world “sees” you. Not when they see you make things happen. Despite all the odds stacked against you. When they see that something higher drives you. When they see that you will always keep on going.

CHIN UP. You’re a fighter. You’re a warrior. You won’t let them “win”. You won’t give them the satisfaction. More importantly it’s not about them. It’s about you. What you are made of. What you have within you. What truth lies in your soul. The only thing you have to prove is to yourself.

KEEP SMILING. Life goes on. Whether we stand of fall it does not matter. But every time we fall we need to get back up. We need to look up at the stars and see ourselves there. We need to reach within and find the strength to try again. We need to remember the good we have and keep it close.

So you “failed”. There is still beauty in the world. There is still hope. You’re not the only one out there who is has failed. But you can decide whether or not you will be one of those who allow themselves to be defeated or one of those who refuses to accept defeat. Because there is still another day to get it RIGHT.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TOWARDS THE LIGHT

No matter where you are there is ALWAYS a light SOMEwhere, whether near or far, in or out of sight. REMEMBER that. Remember that the darkest night has a dawn rising AFTER, the inky blackness of space is lit with billions of balls of light, and the darkest heart is not completely devoid of the faintest glimmer of light.

When hope seems dark look for the LIGHT and let it revive you. Let the light push away at the shadows inside, pressing down the claustrophobia clawing up from the depths, the heartache threatening to overwhelm again. Let the light RENEW your heart, its gentle peace REFRESH your soul, the happiness of your inner CHILD loose in the world to make it all a wonder.

Dark BALANCES light, but some souls have more of one than the other, the other half hidden or not even half, having to find or discover it. The light exists for even the darkest souls and when it is sought even the shadows can begin to fade from the glow that the dawn spreads from the INSIDE out. Never forget that there is ALWAYS a light for us when we lose our way and we can always turn TOWARDS it.

CHASE YOUR DREAMS

YOU HAVE DREAMS. You’ve always had dreams, some since forever and have never ever changed. Some you never had before, but were awakened within by the touch of another soul against your own, realized with a start, but then acknowledged and accepted and now held most precious of all.

The dreams you always had – these are what you have spent a lifetime working towards, so hold onto them, for they were not placed on your soul without purpose. CHASE THEM. Do one thing every day that will take you ONE STEP CLOSER to their achievement.

The dreams that were startled from slumber – these are the dreams that have sustained you in recent times, when you discovered that smile in your soul again. CHASE THEM. FIGHT FOR THEM with everything you have and DO NOT EVER give up on them.

You want your life to “close” without regrets. You don’t want to wonder “what if?” So chase your dreams - ALL of them. There is ALWAYS hope and if you still believe in your dreams, KEEP THEM ALIVE. LIVE your life TOWARDS your dreams until your life IS your dream.

YOUR FOCUS

What you focus on can often determine the “outcome” of your life. At least, how you perceive it, because when you focus on something, even if you’re unconscious of doing it, you gravitate towards that which surrounds that focus, almost as if you’re “bringing” it more than ever into reality.

Life is tough. We all know that. We all live it and deal daily with struggles and personal battles. We all experience loss in some form or another, grieving in our own way as we try to cope with it. We all have times that test us to our very limits, when we are crushed to the ground, and sometimes BENEATH it, pushing desperately up, to grasp onto something that will stop us from continuing to fall. We all have heartache and tragedy, events and people and circumstances that rip our soul to pieces and tear us apart from the inside out. We all make mistakes that cause us to question what we are doing and why, moments when we wonder if our life even means something to anyone.

But…

We also all have beauty in our life, blessed with the people we choose to call family. We all have dreams that make our heart hope and cause our souls to dance with excitement, looking forward to another day and another chance to make progress towards making those dreams reality. We all have such capacity in our being for growth, and in our growth, “evolving” into higher beings, our life an infinite journey of betterment. We all have loved and love, sometimes so much that we wonder how we could have survived life withOUT the presence of that precious and special individual who made us believe again, our soul finally finding peace amidst the chaos of life.

We all have things that tear us apart, causing such pain that we are not sure if we will get through, or even if we WANT to. But we also have things that keep us TOGETHER, holding us to this world, making us determined to keep going and get up every morning, the “glue” that is more than faith alone.

Definitely easier said than done, make the effort to start focusing on that which makes your heart smile, your soul sing, your dreams awaken, that which makes you come alive and hold you together. It doesn’t mean that your life won’t have difficult times, but it WILL make you appreciate the blessings you do have, encouraging and creating understanding as you develop strength, keeping the fire inside you alight even if only a barely glowing ember, so that you can go on and use your story to help inspire and make a difference in this life.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

DARK TO LIGHT

Just when you thought you had survived the deepest dark of night you discover that there is an even DARKER shade of black, thrown into the vortex of darkness, light barely a pinprick millions of eons above you and growing smaller and fainter with each moment, causing your breathing to become labored as the claustrophobia takes over. CALM your fear and remember that you made it through last time, even though you thought you might never make it out alive, and you came out STRONGER and BETTER for the darkness and the “monsters” you battled to make your way to the light, holding onto your FAITH because you knew that God would not have placed you in such a situation if He did not KNOW you could handle it, or that you “needed” the experience in order to FIND your true strength.

You survived once and you WILL again. It might seem that the night is darker than ever, even the stars hiding their faces from the inky blackness, but keep alight the knowledge that night ENDS, even the longest one, and “transforms” into the light of sunrise over the distant horizon. Continue to KEEP your faith and hold tight to the TRUTH inside your soul, even if the world sees something completely different to what it is and judges in the harshest manner because they cannot understand. You might feel all alone, but you are NEVER alone, even if you walk apart for a time, stumbling in the darkness, reaching out to seemingly no one, falling to your knees as you hit obstacles you cannot see, blinded by the confusion that can be.

When you STILL your screaming soul and take measure of your surroundings, you can begin to “sense” where you are, instinct kicking in, survival mode “on”, and even though there be no guide or handbook, you make your way slowly but surely towards where you know the light will appear. You might come across others in that darkness, and when you do, you can HELP each other towards the light, even if each one has their own path to walk and different star to “find”. Walk TOWARDS where you know the sun will rise, and even though it may feel like a “lifetime” that it ceases to break the pitch black, NEVER give up, keep GOING, allowing the “compass” in your soul to lead you true.

2013 | Day 64: BELIEVE

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BELIEVE

You have a DREAM. NEVER let go of it, striving for it, your soul crying out for it, your heart begging for it, your mind pondering it. Never let go of it, even when you HAVE it in your palm and can touch it, wonder at it, smile at it, love it. ANYTHING is possible if you have the heart for it, the determination to drive for it, the passion to pursue it, the courage to chase it wherever it may take you. If you want it BADLY enough, nothing is out of your reach. The stars are not too high. The moon is but a leap away. The love that your soul seeks is only a heartbeat from yours, a whisper on the wind across an ocean, a butterfly’s kiss on the petals of a rose. You have to BELIEVE in your dream, in your heart, in yourself. You have to believe that it is POSSIBLE to achieve, to reach out and touch, to make tangible the desire in your heart, the thoughts in your head that refuse to stop. You have to believe that if it rests on your heart, it IS meant to be, the sunrise another day to risk and take that chance to wish upon the morning star, the dusk an opportunity to search your soul for solutions, the nightfall the time to dream the dream you want to become your reality. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE!

2013 | Day 35: YOUR SUNDAY IS COMING

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

YOUR SUNDAY IS COMING

No matter what your world looks like right now. Dark. Bleak. Desolate. Hopeless. It may be your “Good Friday” when the whole world turns dark and you can’t seem to find a light left to believe in. But have FAITH. Have faith that He has your future in His hands, that He knows what He is doing, that He will not leave you alone, that He is PREPARING you for something GREATER, something BETTER, something to come that could NOT come if you were not going through what you are experiencing right now.

It may be dark and terrible in this time in your life, but there IS an “Easter Sunday” coming. There IS a day when the light will shine again, when everything will make sense, and your faith will be justified, and you will KNOW that it WILL be ok. There will come a time when the tragedy of today will bring BLESSINGS to your life, when your despair will cause JOY, when everything you have been through will have its purpose made clear.

HOLD ON. STAY STRONG. HAVE FAITH. NEVER LOSE HOPE. It is NOT over. He is NOT done with you. There is far MORE in store, things far BEYOND your imagining, that when they come, your heart will swell with GRATITUDE. See the now for what it is: A NECESSARY stepping stone to the future that you are meant for. Your Sunday IS COMING.
