BE YOURSELF

It can be hard to realize that to be truly HAPPY you must be YOU. You – as you ARE, in your ENTIRETY. No hiding aspects of yourself away, but letting the world know by seeing how BRILLIANTLY you can glow – the way you have let others see you glow and the way you unconsciously glowed before from the touching of another soul against your own.

In that time you were happy – completely and unadulteratedly HAPPY. You were FREE to be you, with those who only longed to see more of the soul you had started to let peek out at the world. Somehow, between then and now, it ran away and hid again, and now you have to STOP that and let it back OUT – you need to OPEN up your trembling heart to the winter frost to find the sun and its warmth.

NO more hiding. No more shying AWAY. You have so MUCH potential inside you. You have so many DREAMS, so many HOPES and plans for the future. Let them OUT. Give them VOICE and see that there IS support – there are those who want to see your soul bloom like it did once before, and grow beyond that to FLOURISH.

Just be YOU. Not what the world wants you to be. Not what others want you to be. Not what you think you should be. Just be what you ARE and be UNashamed of it – do not forget your beauty, your wings, your UNIQUENESS and everything about you that stands you apart from anyone and everything else. Let your soul back out and simply let yourself BE.

When you can do that, KEEP on doing it. LIVE your dreams. Let the joy of refinding the passion that had slipped away infuse back into everything you do. Let the smile in your soul sparkle from the depths and light the smile of another. Give yourself permission to FLY again and GROW ever more into the person He intended you to be. Let the HAPPINESS become a way of life again.

FREE TO BE ME

After spending a lifetime having to hide myself it is FREEDOM to be able to be me, truly and completely, and not have it matter who sees me as I am. The world is not a safe place, but the world where I am IS safe for me to reveal my soul and allow others a glimpse of my true self, instead of a mask that gives an impression they get that I hate.

I am free to be me, to show my heart, to speak my mind, to let loose my passions and follow my dreams. I am free to choose my own path to walk, instead of trying to carry everyone else on theirs and losing myself in the process. I am free to open the heart that I have had closed for so long, to let others IN to know and understand it. I am free to be free, my soul lighter by the day.

It’s not that in the past I lived a lie, but the me, the REAL me, was often hidden away, others seeing only aspects of the complexity, aspects that they wanted or needed to see and never any inclination of the entire picture, never let past the barrier surrounding me. I know the impressions the world has and sometimes still has, now, but I never used to, and part of me screams out to be SEEN, to make it realize who I TRULY am.

And now I am free to BE me, as I am. It is liberating, uplifting, refreshing, motivating, gives a smile and a lightness that has eluded me except in the tumultuous times of reflection and deliberation that have instigated immeasurable change in my soul. I AM free to be me and I LIKE it, and those who do not do have the choice to walk away.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE A STAR

Have NO fear in being DIFFERENT. Have NO apologies for wanting what YOU want. Have NO qualms about walking ALONE from the rest of the world determined to be the same. Have NO hesitation in standing OUT.

To accomplish YOUR dreams, sometimes you HAVE to walk APART. Sometimes you have to go where no one else is WILLING to go. Sometimes you have to bear the criticism and condemnation from lack of understanding and judgement of those who are too scared to venture outside the bounds of comfort and possibility in their OWN lives. Sometimes you have to be the one who makes others BELIEVE.

To be a STAR, you have to do your OWN thing. You have to do what it TAKES when you are the only one who is willing. You have to hold onto your faith in your determination to see it through to the END. You have to be the LIGHT in the darkness of the world and let others see you for the miracle that you are.

A star is a MIRACLE. YOU are a miracle. Not everyone believes in miracles and YOU are the one who might CHANGE that perception. Be who you ARE and DO what you do and walk your OWN path.

Shine a light for OTHERS in the darkness and let them know that fear is NOTHING. Let them know what is POSSIBLE. Let them know that dreams are not JUST dreams and can become REALITY if they truly desire it. Be the one who makes that DIFFERENCE.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOURSELF

Sleep eludes, but sometimes in the quiet solitude of darkness there comes truth in our soul. Softly creeping, almost as if not to reopen emotion and wounds desperately trying to be healed, even as the soul tears are crying out to Him to give a new heart. Truth whispers and reminds to boldly chase your dreams, refusing to let another hold power over the heart that acts upon the desires embedded there since forever, because those dreams mean everything and hope is the only thread holding this soul to the world. Let not your unique soul slip away, but reveal and speak itself with daring and such passion that others cannot help but hear the heart hidden, knowing and understanding even the words unspoken. Allow such freedom of soul and self that random is expected, not always knowing what will come even as instinct might, tentatively holding open a fragile cocoon encased with ice and hardness because it still has faith and wants to believe that even if it hurts again, it has to be better than what was. The truth whispers as you've always been, wanting more, asking more, expecting more, knowing what beauty and light have been seen and can be again, strength more than can be imagined but not always needing to be proved, allowing self to simply be. Soul whispers be yourself, simply unapologetically, perfectly imperfect, uniquely beautiful, crazy wonderful, you as you are.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LOSE NORMALCY. CLAIM AUTHENTICITY.

You were created UNIQUE for a reason. If God wanted you to be like everyone else He would have made a world of clones – He did NOT and no one individual has the same tune in their soul as another. No one is “normal” – even if the world tries to create such a label and seeks to place everyone under such an umbrella.

Standing OUTSIDE the umbrella – away from the “safety”, the “comfort zone”, the “normalcy” – the world is a very different place. But, it is more real – it embraces the opportunity for change AND growth. It does not care about the “expectations” under the umbrella and does not live by the unspoken “rules” governed there.

Under the umbrella you surrender your soul into the keeping of the world – you become “normal”. Outside the umbrella you might be alone, but you are allowed to EVOLVE – life is a constant revolution of your soul as you live and learn and perpetually “recreate”. Your life, although filled with “mistakes” and experiences that break or hurt or harden or open you, is REAL.

Living AUTHENTICALLY means casting aside the expectations of the world and living only with your OWN – you set the standards for yourself and all that matters is whether or not you live up to them. You set yourself apart – your life might be an example to others of a “rebel”, but they see you live and change and it creates “inspiration” to encourage them to step out from the umbrella into the open for them.

BE CONFIDENT

STOP looking at everyone else. STOP comparing yourself to everyone else. What anyone else is doing or has achieved is IRRELEVANT. No one else is YOU. No one else has YOUR purpose to fulfill. No one else can BE you.

EVERYONE has their own weaknesses and strengths. You might struggle with weaknesses others cannot comprehend. You might have no problems in areas that others never seem to have success in. Everyone can be and will be weak in some area, and everyone will be and have strength in other areas. Just because no one has the same weaknesses and strengths is NOT a bad thing. It simply means that we are all DIFFERENT, all intended to live DIFFERENT lives.

Once you accept that you HAVE weaknesses and are willing to DO something about it, then you can truly succeed. However, until you UNDERSTAND that you “need” others to help you in your quest through life, you will not. All of us have weaknesses and strengths because we are all meant to HELP each other. We are all part of the “puzzle” of life, fitting together to create a brilliant tapestry of unique genius, every thread and strand holding another in place and making it gleam as bright as it can, showing “it off” to perfection.

You are who you are, with your own talents and abilities for a purpose. That purpose is to BE you. To be you means you have ACCEPTED your mission and are ready to do what it takes to achieve it.

2013 | Day 31: YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY

No matter what you feel or think about yourself at any given moment on any particular day, remember that YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY. You are YOU, the ONLY you there ever was, is, or ever will be. You are the ONLY one who can do what you do, think the way you do, and feel the way you do. YOU are the only one who can be the light that you are in others’ lives, the inspiration from your own personal experiences helping others as you share your story. You are the only one who can be extraordinary in the way that YOU are extraordinary.

So when you wake up in the morning and feel like death warmed up, in the moments when you doubt your self-worth, during the nights when you cry yourself to sleep because you feel such despair, remember that YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY. This world would not be the same withOUT you in it, because only YOU can be you and give the world what you have to offer. ONLY YOU.

YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY. In your abilities, gifts, talents. In the way you think, the way your mind can be a cacophony of confusion that only you understand. In the way you feel, the intense passion that you have curled inside waiting to explode forth. In the emotions screaming in your soul, the way they evolve as you evolve. Only YOU have the make-up that you have.

Others may try to imitate you, but they will never be you, or come close to being what and who you are. They are extraordinary in their own way as well, but only YOU can be extraordinary in YOUR way.

I CHOOSE TO BE GRATEFUL

I choose to start truly living life again TODAY I choose to see the blessings and beauty in what I HAVE and WHO I am surrounded by. I choose to FORGIVE myself for being human. I choose to start over the way I want to END. I choose to take CONTROL of my life and get back to being me. I choose to allow myself to become everything I was MEANT to be and He has in mind for my future. I choose to make my life and the lives of those AROUND me better today than yesterday. I choose growth and FORWARD motion and will not accept anything less than the BEST I have to give. I choose to be in CHARGE of my life and let no one else determine how I think and feel and act but ME. I CHOOSE. It is all on ME. I DECIDE.

DARE TO BE REMARKABLE

Dare to live your life in a way that people cannot help BUT NOTICE you. Dare to BE YOURSELF in a world that seeks to make clone soldiers of its people. Dare to live DANGEROUSLY OUTSIDE the comfort zone of the square box everyone thinks you should live in. Dare to give EVERYTHING ONE chance if only just to experience it. Dare to ADD VALUE to your life by doing the things you might never have dared to do before. Dare to create an OPEN HEART for what God wants to give and bring into your life. Dare to ALWAYS DREAM and never let anyone stop you from desiring what your heart wants. Dare to listen to your soul and ACT SPONTANEOUSLY when the moment arises for happiness. Dare to LIVE LIFE in such a manner that you create positive ripples of effect in the lives of all whom you meet and connect with. Dare to CHALLENGE AUTHORITY and what is if it does not rest easy with your soul. Dare to INSTIGATE CHANGE where change is opposed and what is different is feared. Dare to ENCOURAGE OTHERS to live the life they have always wanted. Dare to BE REMARKABLE!

2012 | Day 320: STAY TRUE TO YOU

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

STAY TRUE TO YOU

Stay TRUE to yourself and all that you are. Hold tight to your dreams and goals, never letting anyone deter you from the possibility of them coming to life. Stay firm in your beliefs and convictions, steadfast in what you stand for. Never let the words of anyone who does not believe in you affect the decisions you make and the actions you take. Hold your character in the highest regard, for it is the true measure of your worth. Stay strong and keep your heart for the one who will value it  and see it as the most precious thing in the world. Never compromise yourself for fleeting moments of pleasure or the easy way out, knowing that staying true to yourself and working hard for what you want is the only real way to satisfaction of purpose. Go after what you want with all the passion that you have, pouring yourself into everything that makes you happy and gives you a smile. Laugh at the world and life, whether you agree with it or not, preparing to accept the good with the bad, the ugly with the beauty, the lies with the truth, because that is the nature of man. Never let anyone tell you what to do and who to be, for they are not you and can never be, your life your own and no one else’s. Take ownership of your life and stay TRUE to YOU – all that you are, can, and will be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOU

There is no need to hide from the world. Let your soul SHINE. Let it be SEEN. Feel FREE to be you no matter what. There are ALWAYS going to be people who disapprove of who you are and everything you do, but there are also always going to be those who SUPPORT you in everything and want you to become all that you can be.

This world will always try to change you – do NOT let it. You do NOT need anyone’s permission to be you. You need only YOUR approval. You need only to know that you are being TRUE to you, holding your integrity at high value, your actions speaking with that integrity, never violating who you are and what you stand for. Know that you are alive for a higher purpose and STAY the course, regardless of others’ opinions, for they matter little in the end, as you are the ONLY one who can live YOUR life, and YOU must be the one who is at peace with yourself.

You are you for a REASON. Unique in every aspect of your creation, talented for a purpose, special to more than you may realize, beautiful in your own way, adored for what you do and who you are and the joy you bring to others, so do not let anyone take AWAY from that, living the life you deem worthy and would be proud to present to Him when you leave this world for the next.

Be you EVERY step of the way. Do not fear letting yourself be seen. Those who matter and truly care will love you for who you ARE, not for whom they want you to be, and will only try to help you become BETTER and fulfil your destiny. You do not have to seek them out – they will be drawn to you, as you to them, and together you can make a DIFFERENCE that will reverberate through eternity.
