SOUL JOURNEY


Our lifetime is made up of many journeys. Journeys that make and break us, shape and mould us, past and present determining what we shall become in the future, the most important of all that of our soul, the path to spiritual enlightenment, the metamorphosis of our innermost core as we traverse the journeys of life. Each journey we take in the physical has spiritual ramifications and often affect us far more than what the world can see, turning our souls inside out, upside down, twisting and contorting it until we are not sure we will ever be able to recognize ourselves when we come out the other side of the purging fire.


Each journey we take and every person we cross paths with leaves a footprint on our soul, teaching us valuable lessons and to show us how significant we are in the fabric of the universe. Love and loss, success and tragedy, ecstasy and pain, are all tools of the world to touch us, to create the destiny of our souls, the tumultuous journey that will leave us tempered like the rarest and most beautiful of diamonds, born of the greatest pressure and heat, crushed beyond life itself and shining forth a brilliant light from an indomitable spirit.


With strength and purity of heart we will survive anything, our soul’s journey one that is never-ending, each step one step closer to becoming the highest being and ultimate version of us that we can aspire to.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

MOMENTS

“Miracles happen in moments.” How true that is. Epiphanies happen in moments; sometimes completely unexpected; other times mind knowledge finally becoming HEART knowledge. Moments that can change EVERYTHING for you and your life.

The last week has been truly revelational for me. Decisions can change the course of your life in ways you never thought possible. And sometimes that change is something as “small” as a thought, a word, an action. Yet it is NOT “small” if it forever alters your life. It is SIGNIFICANT; transforming.

Significance happens in moments. TRANSFORMATION happens in moments. The process of transformation, or what is seen manifested externally, may seem to pass over time, and yes, sometimes the internal does as well, but true transformation is triggered in a moment and cannot be undone.

Once such a moment has happened, a miracle has occurred, and transformation has been affected, NOTHING can or will ever be the same again. Thank You, Father, for Your Mercy and Grace, Wisdom and Understanding, and for bringing me to this place. All is right and good in my world.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIVING FLAME

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Sometimes it takes more than once; multiple “lifetimes” to create the best version of self that can possibly be, even as we continue growing and evolving with each “resurrection”. Every experience contributes to the being we are and become, but not everything is necessary to be taken “with” us into the “new” and there come times in our lives when we must leave behind all that was for all that will and could be. We must “release” the old so that the “new” can live in victory.

As a phoenix rises from the ashes of its own flames, having grown through burning “hell”, purified by heat and pressure like a diamond, so must and do we. Everything cold and dead or that no longer serves purpose in our lives with forward progression and momentum must be removed and let go of, the fire within that burns so bright separating itself from anything that would drag it down or hold it back from burning brighter and flying higher.

Find peace with your past, but let it shatter far beneath you as you rise on fiery wings to soar above the ocean, through the heavens, in the midnight sky, as another glowing flame spreading light in the darkness. Let everything ice burn and melt away with the heat of the passion and life that flickers and roars for freedom, and hold nothing back from the heat. Let the cold, hard prison that once “captured” you break as the fire burns it from the inside out, the world seeing the soul inside rise and shine.

Everything of “old” has been transformed; weakness become strength, with passion and heart renewed. The “new” has different feeling than what was, even if there are similarities in appearance, for the inner change, the evolution of soul, the spark that lights the fire now was created from the “death” of what “made” the new, the flames clean and bold and free from the dust and smoke of yesterday.  Burn as you were always meant to, a living flame, as an example.

BE FEARLESS

Be FEARLESS in going after what you want. In doing what you know you must. For it is often in the ACTION that your “breakthrough” is unleashed. It is in the doing, sometimes on nothing but faith, that the “next step” of your journey becomes clear.

Look life straight on. Let it know you’re ready. Let it see the passion. Let it feel the CHANGE. For there IS a change and it has been happening withIN. The internal “transformation” is about to become EXTERNAL.

There is a beast inside that the world has not yet seen. They’ve seen different “versions” of metamorphosed creatures as you’ve evolved through life and times, but this is something “new”, because there is NO fear in this being. Faith and action, each propelling the other FORWARD, is the momentum driving, the force behind the “glow”.

Everything past has truly PASSED. There is nothing more that can “shake” the roots and cause the tree to tremble, and only the power of One will cause the beast to “shiver”. Yet not from fear, but anticipation of the journey that lies ahead and knowing Who walks alongside it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

WORK IN PROGRESS

EVERY day is a day for self-improvement, betterment of not just mind and soul, but body as well. Every day we can build ON the one before, make progress, continuing FORWARD. Momentum NEVER stops, seeking only to keep moving, striding, running, leaping, as if there were no end and this journey endless.

You see where you are now. Look in the mirror and take note of the “rough sketch” you have to work from, the “base” that you have to mould with. Envision the CHANGES you want to make, seeing them as if they were real right now and know that they WILL be.

Tighten up the NUTRITION. Work WITH your body, not the self-sabotage you were doing before. NOURISH it. Remember that the “cleaner” your food, the better you will feel, for your body will function more smoothly on what it operates BEST on.

Drill your body through training like you were preparing for WAR. Treat it like a machine. Train it like an athlete. You want not just aesthetics, but FUNCTION as well, for there is little use in simply “looking pretty” when it comes to “real life”.

Know your “limits”, but do not let them stop you. Know them, so you know what to push PAST. Recovery is important, but timing is everything. Test yourself. In your mind, set NO boundaries, NO limits, so that you can surpass anything and everything you might ever have thought you could or would.

YOU are a “Work in Progress”, a masterpiece being crafted in your own unique and special design. YOU are in control of how quickly you progress and where, so take ACCOUNTABILITY for your work. And because it is your OWN, let no one tell you what it should “be”, but yourself. You are doing this for YOU.

NEW NOW

You have lived and loved what has sometimes seemed lifetimes, and in every one you learnt something new; you experienced something different, even if it had aspects of the same, and you grew in ways you never thought you would or could. Every experience changed you, moulded you, revolutionized you as it created “new” versions of you and what you discovered lay inside.

Every “new” you shed layers of the one before, embracing that which had been hidden come to light in your soul. It kept strength from the past, even as it changed it and created “new” strength from the challenges faced, because what was before is no longer desirable for a soul that has “opened” and wants to bloom.

Your HEART has been opened and you never want to close it again, because now you feel and in the feeling you are truly allowing yourself to LIVE. Yet in leaving it open, you expose vulnerability and there is always the possibility that you might be hurt, even as you know you will NEVER allow yourself again to be destroyed. But in that vulnerability there is a new softness and beauty that never was before.

Your SOUL has transformed and you know without a doubt that if not for all that has been it would never in a million years be as it is right now in this moment at this time. Despite the darkness that it was cocooned in to change the way it has, your soul can accept it and is at peace with itself and the things it found within during its “transition”.

Your MIND has always been something else, but now it is completely and utterly without limitations and bounds, for it has seen yourself do things it never imagined it would, felt and thought things it always argued for everyone else but you, and for your own wellbeing, relinquished the fight with itself for rational domination over your soul.

There is a “new” you now and that you is the culmination of everything “good” and “bad” that has been in your past, albeit taking from the “bad” the blessings and the lessons, because the “bad” was not always so, and it was in such times that you changed the MOST. The transformation is unquestionable, as is the truth that you can and will never go back to how and who you used to be and were.

LIFE'S FLAMES

Life loves to test us. Sometimes it waits a lifetime to see what we are made of, desiring to surprise us suddenly to observe how we handle its disruption. Other times it seems intent on seeing how well we fare with what seems like setback after setback, to see if we’re truly what we say we are and to see what we can grow INTO.

Life can simmer or it can boil. It can allow your life to rest upon a single ember or it can immerse you in flames so hot you feel like you might burn up from the inside out. Either way, whether we survive the fire and how we come out reveals us to the world and sometimes to OURSELVES.

Life can create a monster or it can create a beast. The difference is that a monster knows no bounds to its fury and the havoc it wreaks based on the “injustice” it feels has been done to it, whereas a beast is a monster who realizes that every trial is a “lesson” and an experience with opportunity for great GROWTH.

Life can transform a monster into a beast. Once it quiets enough to understand and accept the challenges and struggles that face it. A monster of destruction can become a beast of growth, a far more powerful weapon because the difference it makes in the world creates an impact for the BETTER.

Life loves to bring chaos into being. Sometimes simply because it can, sitting back to watch what unfolds. Other times because there is a purpose, change to elicit the activation of the potential lying inside or the resurrection of the passion that might have almost died, so that we might become our BEST.

DEAR GOD, THANK YOU

For what has BEEN – I might not have completely understood it at the time, but I do now, knowing it was NECESSARY to bring me to this point. For the experiences given – without which my soul would not have been changed that my heart would be able to be open enough to share, and in the sharing be able to touch lives in ways I might not have been able to before, making room for more difference to be made and a hand that would never before have been offered to be given. For the intertwining threads – the souls allowed to touch mine have marked me far more than they will ever know, impacted me more than anyone might ever see, created strength that can be sensed by those who have known me, changed me in both beauty and pain but ultimately for the BETTER.

For transforming my SOUL – I will always be what I was, but not what I was as I move FORWARD through life, living and learning, the old ways of survival still would work but now not what I want to use, knowing their weaknesses and taking only their strengths with me into the future I am walking into; having fallen and risen, broken and rebuilding, lived and died and been reborn for the second time, an even newer and wiser creature emerging from the flames, not the Terminator I started out as or the Warrior I became, but an Angel of neither white or black; standing alone but not alone, the integral fundamentals unchanged even as everything is changed.

For EVERYTHING that is – TRANSFORMING my soul as it needed and needs to be, so that I can be everything that I need and should be, so that I can do and be everything I am meant to; all of it for Your glory, proof that prayers do get answered and miracles do exist, the lost can be found and the hardest of hearts made soft, walls can be broken down and ice can be melted, blank masks can become genuine smiles as life continues and opens up before me; stepping forward in faith across the invisible bridge over the chasm below.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

YOUR HEART

“Sometimes God doesn’t change the situation because He’s trying to change your heart.” This really hits home, especially with everything that’s happened in the last quarter. I have to remind myself that “everything for a reason”, even when I am on my knees crying “WHY?! Why could You possibly want me HERE? For what purpose?” I don’t pretend to understand everything God does and why. Sometimes what He asks or wants us to do begs the question “WHY?!” but living on faith means we do trusting that HE knows what He’s doing.

The heart is a strange creature. Mine has almost always been hidden. It’s been locked up tight and guarded, like Sleeping Beauty’s castle surrounded by thorns, so no one gets in [and nothing gets out]. But He slowly started changing me in recent years and I let the determined “creep” their way inside. I let the “spell be broken” and the walls start crumbling down, the thorns gradually disappearing. Even as I kept a guard on watch, for still entry was to be granted only a rare few, albeit the world being able to “see” the tower and that there was a glimmer of light [not always cold] radiating from it.

But the day came when there was great destruction in the tower and the light did not glow as bright. There came a dawn of frost and a sheen of ice layered over the black. The storm passed, but not completely, and the harsh winds and vicious frost cause the ice to linger, even as the tiny flicker of fire inside the tower kept a small portion of it melted. The tower withstood the weather, retreating back away from the world despite remaining in the open, no longer as solitary as it had once been, seeing other towers in the distance, but realizing how isolated it had made itself and that only the truly determined would fight the elements and try to understand the terrain to make their way even to the base of the cliff that it rested upon.

It’s the little things that start adding up. It’s the glimmers of understanding that flicker in and out of view. It’s the moments of clarity amidst the fog that keeps one’s heart going, determined to make it through the storm, even if it doesn’t truly understand WHY. It’s finally realizing that sometimes God ALLOWS the storm and He KEEPS it in place until something INSIDE us changes, until WE start to change, until our HEART begins the transformation. It might take a day, a week, a month, a year, or longer, but He WILL take the time it needs to make the change. He WILL keep the winds blowing, the frost shivering, until that tiny flicker of fire is “fed” and allowed to light and heat more than a single room, shining light from the tower out into the world despite all that is going on around it.

2012 | Day 336: THIS MOMENT

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THIS MOMENT

This moment is your life right NOW. It is the BLESSING you have been given. It is the SMILE in your heart. It is the LOVE you are surrounded with. It is everything from the past and present culminating in this single MOMENT, a moment you might never have imagined you would ever have, but now it is HERE. It is for YOU.

Be HAPPY for this moment. Be GRATEFUL that He deemed you worthy of having it. Be APPRECIATIVE of the pain and heartache it took to bring you to this place, for withOUT it you would not have grown as you did and would never have allowed it opportunity to happen.

See the path TO this moment. Know that everything you endured was for a REASON, and that reason is NOW. That reason was to create in you a new HOPE, uncover denied and long-hidden desires and DREAMS and transform you into the person you were MEANT to be, who COULD accept that this moment IS real and for you.

Be HAPPY in this moment, for right now, in THIS moment, this moment is YOUR life, and it is REAL!
