CATALYST

Sometimes we have to go through what we do to "soften" and become what He intended us to be all along; to see and know what we're made of and for; awakened with purpose. Sometimes what we go through is the change we needed too.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

METAMORPHOSIS

Metamorphosis can be a painful process, “trial by fire” with immense destruction and not everyone “survives” the process. Those that do are completely different creatures than those who were untouched by the flames; they who emerge from the fire have a new quality about them, the “difference” noticeable to all those who know them. There is a new strength that resonates beauty, scars that tell stories others will be inspired by, with a change in aura that reflects a deeper sense of self and awareness.

Sometimes the creature that emerges “looks” completely different to the one known in the lifetime passed. The fire often forges a new kind of creature, for everything not strong enough is burnt in the flames and that which is true pressured like a rough diamond, so that what has long been kept hidden might be revealed to the world. There is “magic” in metamorphosis and even though the creature that emerges from the flames is “new”, it is still the “same”, for the soul is still of the “old”, albeit having undergone its own transformation as it faces itself, choosing what to discard and keep.

Metamorphosis is often necessary, in retrospect a blessing to help bring us “into our own”, so that we might “see” life for what it truly is and understand the miracle of everything; that we too are such a miracle in the world and can be a source of light and inspiration regardless of our past. What we become might be something “strange” to others, even as it is beautiful, and many may dislike the change because it is not something they can fathom, but ignore them and let the “new you” follow the path that became so clear in the fire, so that you might fulfil the purpose resting on your soul.

Embrace the change and test the wings you have been given. There is “magic” inside you that was always intended to be released and the fire has peeled away the “fear” that kept it locked up tight, a new softness in the willingness to let your vulnerability be seen, a multitude of feelings and emotion escaping as you “step into the new”. The time of the past has passed and is no more; let it die with the fire and let the “new life” discovered in your soul be the one that you live and love, as you let yourself love and live.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

REMEMBER

Sometimes we allow life to get in the way, infiltrate our mind with its fear, doubt, and worries, our circumstances looking bleak instead of an opportunity for change. Are you swimming or drowning in it? Are the things that once used to make you so happy now pulling you down into the depths of despair?

When the things we love become the things that destroy us, what then? We need to REMEMBER - WHY we loved it, what it was that gave us so much joy and peace, smiles before the tears, laughter before the screaming. We need to REMEMBER, and in doing so, maybe make our burden a little lighter.

Let your memories be sweet. Let yourself remember how much you loved. Live without floundering, without sinking, feeling like every day is a battle just to stay afloat. Because all the energy you’re exerting to try and simply STAY here is draining you of energy you could be using for something ELSE.

Remember what it was like and THANK the past for HAPPENING, giving you such blessings, knowing that not all things are meant to last - and nothing ever will. Give yourself time to grieve, but allow yourself to move ON, so that you CAN “live again”.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Happiness can be something that eludes us - until we realize that there is NO destination to being happy, that everything we have to “be” happy is WITHIN us, if we but ALLOW it to be. The simple thought of someone special, a memory, a smile, something that makes us laugh - all of those things release the happy inside, allow us to let down the walls that we build around ourselves for the briefest of moments.

Happiness is a CHOICE. Life can be falling apart around you, the worst possible situation you can think of you find yourself in, and you can STILL find the happiness lurking in the shadows - it IS there, even if it IS hiding in the depths of your soul, in a place you would never have imagined it to be.

EVERY day we make the choice - conscious or not - on whether or not we will be happy. Happiness is not just a choice, but a state of MIND, and even if our heart is breaking, our soul is distressed, we can still make the choice to look for the positive in the negative, at what IS going right in our world, and be thankful that we are still alive to appreciate the beauty that we have in our lives.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIGHT AND DARKNESS

The most brilliant lights shine in the deepest darkness. The greatest illumination occurs in the complete absence of light. The brightest stars would not be seen if not for the darkness they are surrounded by.

In the same manner, PEOPLE cannot shine without the darkness they experience. They cannot grow without the pain suffered. They cannot know true happiness without knowing the deepest despair. They cannot fully appreciate life in all its beauty and glory without having fallen so far that they know the ugliness and depravity that balances this world.

The greatest people that you know have been through the most in life. You might not always know it, but those with discernment will sense it in their soul. The most beautiful people have the kindest hearts, even if they seem untouchable and distant. The kindest hearts come from having experienced the deepest heartache and never wanting another to suffer through the same or similar experience. Those experiences create in one an understanding, instill empathy for the lost, and allow one to grow into more than they are.

The greatest people that you know have overcome the most adversity. They have faced unspoken tragedy. They have dealt with destruction on a level they would never wish you to know personally. They are great because they have known all that and are still here. They have been broken and yet remain intact. They have been destroyed so much that they have been brought to their knees and yet they stand before you. They stand before you, because in those times, they grew in strength and courage and passion and never failed to hold tight to faith and hope and belief, even if for a time they might have felt like there was nothing left to cling to.

The most brilliant lights shine in the deepest darkness. The brightest stars are only so bright BECAUSE of the darkness.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE POWER OF YOUR SOUL

There is GREAT POWER in your soul. There is FAR MORE than you could ever possibly imagine hidden down in the depths of your soul. There is MAGIC WAITING to be released into the world and create the most wondrous experiences. There is such capacity FOR LOVE that we are so often not aware of until someone awakens in us the secret desire for it.

Even when a soul has suffered the greatest tragedies and been through the most terrible destruction, it has the power to pick itself UP and see the BEAUTY in life, that they are still ALIVE and have LEARNT so much, know the extent to which they can fall and not let themselves be completely destroyed, still having FORGIVENESS in their heart to let go and KEEP GOING.

There is MORE POWER in your soul than you can ever dream of. There are more DREAMS in your soul than you will ever know of, just waiting for the right time, the right moment, the right person to creep inside your heart and bring about their discovery. There is so much POTENTIAL in your soul, that when you have been through what you have and known what you do, loved the ones who brought your world crashing down around you, and then found your soul carried gently in the arms of one who seeks to protect you, you allow it to be RELEASED, given room to GROW and BLOSSOM.

ALWAYS be grateful, thankful for the people in your life, especially those of the past who have taught you so much and caused so much pain, for withOUT that your soul would never have been opened to the WONDER that is WAITING for you, the FREEDOM of the life you were MEANT to live and love, and the one who you now find walking BESIDE you.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

RISE UP

The night has passed in its darkness and all things hidden suddenly alight within it, words said and emotions wrought as a soul grasps itself together yet one more time. But yes, the night has PASSED and is no more. In that should be the same of what transpired within it: Let gone and let go and given to Him, for some things our soul should not bear if we want to stand unencumbered by chains of any kind, even those we might have once placed upon ourselves.

The day dawns, the fingers of light reaching across the sky reaching for you, to remind you that light pushes AWAY darkness and a NEW day has begun. A new day and a new time, giving you another opportunity to start fresh and claim it as your own, your life to walk forward in His grace and share YOUR light with the world.

As we grow in darkness, so too do we grow in light, and all that occurs in darkness will eventually be revealed in the light. Let not the darkness be the strength creeping in your soul, but take from it iron strength and indomitable will to mesh with the positive energy and healing love of the light.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE HARDEST THING

The things that are going to make the MOST change in your life are the things that are going to be the HARDEST to do. They’re also going to require the most RISK and cause the most HEARTACHE. They will fill your heart with happiness, whilst at the same time dripping tears down your soul. It might be hard to LET GO, but it is HARDER to hold onto something that is not meant to be. Life is meant for LIVING, so even if it means saying GOOD-BYE to something you love more than life itself, to HEAL your soul sometimes you MUST.

If you have to, cry yourself to sleep at night and put on a SMILE for everyone in the morning, so that they don’t know any different, and go about your life in a way that MAKES a DIFFERENCE in others’ lives. It hurts when the one you love the most loves you back, but is too afraid to take the risk you would give your life for in a heartbeat, and sometimes the only way to hide that pain is to do your best to help ease the pain of OTHERS.

It may not make any SENSE, but in the end the pieces will all come together for you to see the BIGGER picture, and everything will be CLEARER than ever. You might NOT want to do it, but you might HAVE to, in order to prevent regret from letting the pain of it all stop you from living as you were MEANT to, depriving your LIGHT and INFLUENCE from the world. Do not let your hurts prevent you from helping heal the hurts of others.

Do not let your pain cloud your heart and shut all POSSIBILITY out. Do not think that it is over, because there is so much MORE out there for you, so much BEAUTY, so many BLESSINGS, so much more than you could ever have IMAGINED, all just WAITING for you to open your arms and EMBRACE it, ACCEPT it, and just let it HAPPEN.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

SECOND CHANCE

Your life is changing in ways you never thought it would. You are in a place you never thought you would ever be. You have found a faith that you never thought you would need or care for. YOU are changing more than you ever thought possible.

Do NOT be afraid of the change. Everything you have been through was for a REASON. Every heartache and tear wrenched from your soul, every moment of pain and frustration and confusion, every feeling of hopelessness and despair, was all for a reason. Out of the greatest pain [often] comes the greatest GROWTH. Out of the greatest pain [often] rises the GREATEST and most BEAUTIFUL of souls.

You have been through that pain. You know what went wrong, what lessons you had to learn, even if the way you had to learn them was so drastic that you felt like your soul would be torn asunder for all time. Know that from the pain will come STRENGTH greater than you ever thought you could have, regardless of you knowing that your soul already has strength of its own.

Hold ONTO the faith that you have found. It will pull you through even the darkest of times. Never be ashamed to cry out to Him, to plea from the depths of your soul for help, on your knees in the most desperate of times, for He ALWAYS listens and He always ANSWERS, even if the answer is not the one that you seek. Know that the answer He gives is what you NEED, because He knows even before you do what your SOUL needs to survive, what your heart needs to be ALIVE, what your mind needs to be ENCOURAGED.

A door in your life may have closed, but there HAS been opened a window. It might be small, seem impossible for you to see yourself fitting through it at the moment, but know and accept that NOTHING is IMpossible with God on your side. NOTHING your heart dreams or aspires is out of your reach if you desire it with EVERYthing that you are, and with such consuming passion and commitment to making it happen, you CAN.

Have FAITH and BELIEF in YOURSELF, that you are stronger than you think and have far MORE within you than you might ever have known! YOU have the POWER to CHANGE your life! You have been given a SECOND chance! Make the MOST of it and become EVERYTHING He always intended you to be!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TRUE STRENGTH

Strength is not something you SEE. It is something you FEEL. Something you DISCOVER. Something that overpowers you with its presence that you can’t help BUT notice it.

Strength is what you find when you think you have NOTHING left. When you run out of options and REFUSE to give in, knowing that there is something MORE out there. Something to live FOR. Something to keep you going, because it is NOT yet the end for you.

Strength is the PASSION deep inside you. It is the WILLPOWER that drives you. It is the DETERMINATION to never ever give up no matter what. It is the TEARS that you hide, the smile that shows when you feel like you are shattering inside into a million pieces that will never be able to be put back together. It is the LOVE you give when you feel like you are empty of all emotion and have nothing left.

Strength is so much MORE than can ever be described. It is a trait of those who LIVE on, who have survived horrors and circumstances that would break the human soul. It is the foundation built with FAITH that there is more to life than what is currently happening. It is knowing that there is something BETTER coming, to be made, to be created, to be SOUGHT and FOUGHT for. It is NOT making or accepting excuses on failure to rise to the challenge and be ALL that you can be.

ANOTHER DREAM

When you let go of a dream it is NATURAL to grieve. It is natural to feel pain. It is natural to feel a little lost. Especially when you’ve held onto something so dear for so very long and you finally accept that it may not be meant for this lifetime.

It’s not a betrayal to let go. Sometimes it’s the ONLY way to stop the pain and feeling of knowing what could be and never realizing it.

Our ability to survive and thrive can depend on our ability to ADAPT. If one dream should fall and break into a million pieces of glass we can always create a NEW dream. It will never be the same as the original, but that doesn’t meant it cannot be as great.

As we grow and change, so do our dreams. Sometimes it is our DREAMS that change us. Sometimes being open to the possibility of a new dream is what changes us.

Life is too short to live with a closed heart, even if everything about it suggests being shut off from the world is the way to survive. If you are closed off, you are closed off from the opportunity of experiencing joy, happiness, love, and yes, the darker emotions of anger, despair, and pain. But you cannot have some and not the others, for life doesn’t work like that, and even in a dream you cannot escape the circle of balancing emotions that encompass it.

Sometimes a dream is nothing but an illusion we deceive ourselves with, wanting to believe, when it is but a nightmare we are trapped into, a cruel hope that keeps us going, giving us reason to survive. When that is our dream it is time to let GO and create another dream.

It might SAVE you.

LIFE'S FLAMES

Life loves to test us. Sometimes it waits a lifetime to see what we are made of, desiring to surprise us suddenly to observe how we handle its disruption. Other times it seems intent on seeing how well we fare with what seems like setback after setback, to see if we’re truly what we say we are and to see what we can grow INTO.

Life can simmer or it can boil. It can allow your life to rest upon a single ember or it can immerse you in flames so hot you feel like you might burn up from the inside out. Either way, whether we survive the fire and how we come out reveals us to the world and sometimes to OURSELVES.

Life can create a monster or it can create a beast. The difference is that a monster knows no bounds to its fury and the havoc it wreaks based on the “injustice” it feels has been done to it, whereas a beast is a monster who realizes that every trial is a “lesson” and an experience with opportunity for great GROWTH.

Life can transform a monster into a beast. Once it quiets enough to understand and accept the challenges and struggles that face it. A monster of destruction can become a beast of growth, a far more powerful weapon because the difference it makes in the world creates an impact for the BETTER.

Life loves to bring chaos into being. Sometimes simply because it can, sitting back to watch what unfolds. Other times because there is a purpose, change to elicit the activation of the potential lying inside or the resurrection of the passion that might have almost died, so that we might become our BEST.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

NUMINOUS

It has been a month since my life changed in a cruel twist I never saw coming but that my soul sensed months before it happened – a twist that destroyed the world I had been building and the future I had started planning. Cruel, perhaps, because the pain was senseless and could have been diminished considerably had it occurred well before it did. But inevitable and ultimately necessary for my eyes to be opened – to bring me to my knees and cause me to see what I had let happen to myself: How far I had drifted from His embrace and the woman I had been becoming, when my soul had glowed so brightly that others noticed and I had peace in knowing I was on the right path.

It has been 10 days since I left the home I lived in – the home that had felt like a home, but then I just a stranger on the outskirts of the family I had been blessed with. 10 days since I stepped out on my own – moved into my own place, an empty house, a skeleton with so much potential. There were times when my soul was saturated with unbelievable sorrow at what I was leaving behind – love and family, before it was reminded that it was all an illusion that had taken me from the path my life was purposed for, albeit teaching me several very valuable lessons and giving me the ultimate happiness for moments that will now only ever be memories of what a fairy-tale feels like.

It has been mere hours since this once bare place truly became a “home” – lovingly setting up each room, the unlimited freedom to infuse my personality into it, creating harmony and knowing in my soul that I finally had my sanctuary. Smiling as hours passed in the doing – an open and easy smile accompanying spontaneous dancing and that hum that lets you know when a woman is truly happy. For the “wandering soul” desiring to set down roots and create a home is a “scary” experience – having a “home base” and not leaving with the wind or on a whim can feel like a cage to the soul who never lingers long anywhere, but I am excited, knowing I am now in His will.

So comes one “circle” to a “close” – one chapter of my life ended, the brief interlude passed, and a fresh page waiting for the next stage of my journey to start. Once again I am living on faith – not knowing but trusting, because now my soul is back in “alignment”. It is a freeing feeling and I feel like I have “come into my own” again - the creature I was has reemerged, the same but different: The love and carefree delight of life and happiness of a spirit at peace that was once loved has returned, but the sparkle is brighter, the light a more mature hue for the pain that has purified it, the smile and laughter holding nothing back for this soul has truly realized the power of inspiration.

Everything that has led me to this moment has not been without reason - it took time to see what was for what it was, but now my eyes are clear. There is a weightlessness in my soul I have experienced rare times in my life – the complete peace I feel allows me undeniable acceptance of where I am, understanding that sometimes indescribable pain is required for us to break so much that in the moment of our deepest despair, when we are stripped of almost everything we have held so precious, we cry out to Him, reminded that He is the cornerstone on which everything in our life is built, surrendering so that our soul might be healed and renewed, empowered like the phoenix to rise and become all we are meant to.

SECOND CHANCE

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BEAUTY IN TEARS

It may not feel like it. It might not look like it. It may not be something you can fathom at the time. Especially when every single tear wrenched from your soul causes immeasurable pain. But…

There is BEAUTY in your tears. In every one that falls. Inside and out. There is beauty because tears are the CLEANSING balm of the soul. They are the portal through which we REMOVE our pain and sorrow. They give us an opportunity to REFRESH our heart and wash away wounds that might otherwise fester and cause deep destruction.

Teardrops are beads of water. Small and quivering they rest upon our cheeks. Unshed they cover our eyes in a misty sheen. They REFLECT the light. And in the light the world can be seen from ANOTHER perspective. It can show us a different reality. It can bring a glimmer of HOPE. Hope for the FUTURE as our soul quietly understands that it will eventually be ok.

When the tears pass and the pain fades the world will be different. Even if it is not different. WE will be different. And our difference will lie in what is left BEHIND from the pain. In the STRENGTH harnessed from enduring such pain. In the irony that from pain comes BEAUTY. Comes POWER we might not have known we had. One step CLOSER to becoming all that we were meant to be.
