Strength isn’t about power or might. Sometimes strength is simply smiling at another when you don’t “have” a smile or just being there to listen when you’re exhausted and want to do anything but. Strength is not always “seen”, but it is always FELT and you never know who is observing.

You might never know it, but YOU could change someone’s life. You could be the catalyst for them looking into the mirror and searching deep and asking themselves what they truly want out of life. 
You could be the one they look up to and aspire to “be like”, because they see what you do and know a little of your story. You could be a “reason” in their life that inspires them to become BETTER.

It might not seem like you are being strong sometimes, but what is and what is seen are not always the same thing, and people are so very influenced by impressions, even when they come to learn the “truth”, and sometimes the truth makes them take a few steps back and think and “see” more.

When it feels like you have none, draw on Him. There is a never-ending supply of strength and grace waiting for us if we just ask for it. In the times when we don’t feel strong or want to be, then it is time to let His power be the strength we need. Remember, STILL being here, is strength and you never know what that means or “tells” others and the impact that a single ripple can make.

BECOME AN INSPIRATION

You are alive for a PURPOSE. Do NOT waste the precious breath you have been given on frivolous pursuits. Instead, let your life MEAN something. DO something with it. Devote yourself to the “service” of others, that you may INSPIRE in them a desire to be GREAT. HELP them to see the greatness hiding inside them, their POTENTIAL for ultimate success and the achievement of all their heart’s passions.

Live to INSPIRE others. Inspire them to become BETTER. Inspire them to want MORE out of life, to seek for DEEPER purpose, to discover what THEY are here for, and all that they are meant to be. Inspire them to PUSH the boundaries of what is “possible” and create dreams IN reality. Inspire them to more than they might have ever dreamed OF and in that, have them see that it is only just the BEGINNING.

Inspire those AROUND you. Inspire those you have NEVER met. Inspire those whose souls you connect with on a plane out of this dimension of time and space. The world is VAST, but we are all connected somehow in the tapestry of life, in ways we might never know of. Your stretch is further than YOU will ever fathom, and EVERYTHING you do impacts someone somewhere.

Live FOR something. Make your life FRUITFUL. Let the world SEE your passion. Let them FEEL it and know that it comes from a true heart of “wonder”. This life is not about you alone, but about the DIFFERENCE you make in the lives of OTHERS. Burn for everything you’ve ever loved. Burn for the passion that beats within you that cannot be extinguished. Burn for the purpose that few can or will ever understand you live for. Burn for the reasons that make sense sometimes only to you and cause you to feel alive. Burn for the sheer enjoyment of having been through everything you have and come out the other side of the fire fiercer and stronger and more powerful than ever before. Burn for His glory and let the world see the light of your flames and be inspired by your story. Burn because there is nothing greater than being an example of the living light that can motivate others into sparking their own flames alight and igniting a wildfire charged with positive change and passion. HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE WE MAKE

Just because we are alive does not give us the right to live selfishly - well, we have that CHOICE, but it’s not our PURPOSE here. We are alive for a mission - our purpose is to help OTHERS become better, whether we do that through sharing our life’s story and message and experiences, or just aiding another with something they are new to, struggling with, need, and more.


We are here to help each other THROUGH life, so that we ALL become better than we were, moulded into the people we are MEANT to be, an ultimate version of ourselves.


When you speak or act, don’t do it to see what you can get out of a situation, but to see what you can GIVE to a situation. You may never know the full truth of anything, or how your interaction with those involved will change the course of events - if it does. Every word, every action, conscious and unconscious, has an impact, whether we know it or not. We may never see the results of that impact - it could be small or it could be great, but it is MADE; and once we have done something it cannot be UNdone.


Once you realize that life is not for living only for you, your whole perspective can CHANGE. Especially as you realize that living with a purpose makes a difference not only in others’ lives, but in YOURS as well.


To quote Rick Warren, “Living on purpose is the only way to really live. Everything else is just existing.”

YOU MATTER


Everything you do, everything you say, everything you ARE – it MATTERS! YOU matter.


No one else is, has been, can be, or ever will be YOU - only YOU can be you! You MATTER.


The hand you reach out or pull away, the words of encouragement and the words you never even utter, the smile you give even if your eyes do not share it – it all makes a DIFFERENCE to someone, whether you are aware of it or not. Every action, every thought, every dream, every prayer laughed or cried – ALL of it matters. YOU matter.


A single drop of water in the ocean might seem insignificant, but that drop creates a ripple as it touches the surface – a ripple that SPREADS. That single drop may never know how far its ripple of EFFECT reaches, nor to what effect it has, but it HAS an effect – it matters. A single drop in the ocean matters – in the same you are a single drop in the ocean of life and YOU matter.


NEVER think nothing of what you do and who you are. Never UNDERestimate your value and worth. Never hold yourself to the expectations of others, because you know yours are much HIGHER. Never give in to the overwhelming of your struggles, because you know they will just create more STRENGTH. Never STOP being you, no matter what. YOU MATTER.

UNEXPECTED LIGHT

There shines a light in EVERY soul. Sometimes we do not see it within ourselves. But others do and they make mention. Yet sometimes that light can become dark and needs to be relit. In those times the light shining in OTHERS can “respark” our own and see us glow again.

Light can be found in the most UNEXPECTED of places. Sometimes where we might never have thought it could come from. Surprising us with the magnitude of which that light can shine. Yet sometimes that light can become a source of comfort and looked forward to. In those times simply accept where you are at this moment and just ENJOY the warmth of the embers being stoked back to strength.

Light and dark. Sometimes we do not realize which of our “selves” we let the world see. We do not realize when we sparkle so brightly or darken the heavens. Yet sometimes we are more aware than ever of the effect we have. In those times we come into a “soul awakening” and once aware we can never become UNaware.

When your soul has been “woken” from its slumber life begins to OPEN up. YOU begin to see how every aspect of light and dark affects you and those around you. You begin to understand the IMPACT you can have on another soul. You begin to take CONTROL as much as you possibly can over yourself and your reactions to the world. You live CONSCIOUSLY. You seek to make every aspect of your being and the world around you as “healthy” as possible and encourage GROWTH in all areas.

Sometimes it is the most unexpected of lights that can ILLUMINATE the “darkness” in our lives and aid in bringing us to the CONSCIOUS awareness of “self”. Always be thankful.

UNIQUE SPIRIT


God created you as an individual. He lovingly crafted every inch of your body and then chose especially the soul that would reside there. He whispered dreams and longings into your spirit that you alone would hear and be able to fulfil the need for in this world. He made you to stand out and be seen. He WANTS you to soar on the winds above the earth. He wants you to ride the energy of your own unique spirit, for when you do that, when you follow your soul on a journey even you might not know where, you are opening up your life to more power and blessings, you on the world and in turn being able to also see and receive them.


Refuse to let the world sully what He made with grace and love. Do not allow it to dull the gleam of your soul and clip the wings of your spirit. Stand firm and steadfast, strong in your faith, in Him and who you are and your purpose, understanding that the diminishing of your light affects not just yourself but those around you and whom you impact, knowingly or not. There is something inside you that only YOU can bring to the world, so do not let the world “take it away”, for it will only destroy what was pure and beautiful, turning it into something muddy and ugly. Do not let them desaturate your soul, but find your courage and strength on the energy of the healing winds of the heavens.

Life is short and it is oh so very PRECIOUS. EVERY moment counts and every second matters. Everything you DO has cause and effect. Everything you SAY lingers in a heart or mind or time. Everything you ARE can change the world AROUND you.

SEE the world for what it is and then WORK on making the one YOU live in the way you WANT it to be as much as you can effect and have “power”. As you strive to become the BEST you possibly can, encourage OTHERS to their potential alongside you, showing them that there is ALWAYS hope and NOTHING is “impossible”, that life is a dream to be imagined and made REAL.

LIVE life as you strive, ENJOYING the “moments” that will become memories, GRATEFUL for the blessing of those kindred souls who journey with you and have come to mean more than you ever might have thought. As you open your heart and let your soul SMILE allow yourself simply to “be”, EMBRACING all that you are and will become, INVITING the future and opportunity for GROWTH, inspiring movement and momentum of vision and promise.

EVERYthing has PURPOSE. Every “chance” is a gift given, a mystery to unravel, a wonder to behold, a blessing to be shared. Every NEW day is another day to unlock potential, change in ways that might have once been unfathomable, experience the amazing in the “normal”, make a DIFFERENCE as only YOU can. BRAND NEW END


Everyone starts somewhere. Everyone travels their own journey. Everyone veers off the path at some point and ends up in a completely different place than they intended. That’s ok. It’s human. It’s to be expected. You might not be in the place you desired to be when you started your journey, but just because you are not there yet does NOT mean that you cannot ever be. We all get lost and we all struggle. It’s a part of life and no one is immune to it.


None of us can go back and start over again from the starting point we initially began at. But we can start over from where we are NOW. We can start our journey from here and go forward in a new direction. We can create a different story from this point. We can determine a different end. We can choose the footprints our life makes on the sands of time.


We all have a beginning. And we all have an end. The final end may not be the end we envisioned when we began. Nor might we have been able to foresee the course life might have taken us through to get there. Yet we are where we are now, through chance or fate or deliberate decision, and where we go from here is a CHOICE.


YOU make the choice in the present on where your life will lead. You decide through your thoughts that lead to your actions how you will live. You started somewhere that is true. And where you initially began might now have been something you had control over. But you have control now, and you choose where you will end up. You choose the dream that will become the reality you eventually make.

ADDING TO THE WORLD


Every day is ANOTHER chance to make a difference; to give hope to someone who might have little left; to encourage one who has all but lost faith in their dreams or who is close to achieving their goals; to make a sad heart smile or a lonely person feel that for a moment they are not alone. It is another opportunity to put yourself out there and take the risk of living, and in your living, IMPACT another life in ways that you might possibly not be able to imagine.

You are one in a sea of many; a single grain of sand in the endless desert of life, not even a teardrop in the vast ocean of life; but one thread in the tapestry that weaves all lives and destinies together. One does not mean insignificant, for one CAN change the world if they but have the courage and the heart and the determination to go out there and do what they CAN in their sphere, for who knows what domino effect or ripples might spread from the actions and words of that one.

Every day is another chance for every single soul out there to create a memory that will last a lifetime in another soul; a difference that might be THE difference and change a life beyond anything they could ever fathom. LIGHT UP THE WORLD


You were created for a PURPOSE. Your life has a MISSION. You were born to LIGHT UP the world. You were meant to make a DIFFERENCE.


You are UNIQUE. You are different from EVERYONE else. You stand ALONE in your gifts and abilities. You and only YOU can shine the light that resonates from your soul.


Smile. Laugh. Love. Live.


The glow of your smile can shimmer over any heart, filtering in down into the darkest of crevices, and spark another glow that could become a powerfully burning flame in the world. The sound of your laughter can pierce even the most distraught heart and turn on a smile that could become the next light spreading hope in the world. The way that you love can touch a heart once thought ice and long dead of all emotion and feeling, and create a desire to step out into the world again. The life that you live can be the example that someone else needs to know that everything will be ok, no matter what their world looks like now.


There is something IN you that has tremendous power for GROWTH. Not only for YOU, but for OTHERS. Live your life as a shining EXAMPLE of what a MIRACLE is. Light up the world with your smile. I CAN

It’s all very well and good to have a dream, but a dream is just a dream unless you ACT on it, and a dream will not be acted on unless you believe that you CAN achieve it. Belief in yourself and your ability to achieve your dream is ESSENTIAL. You HAVE to believe that you can AND will accomplish what you want, or you will never really come close. If you believe you take every challenge as it comes, don’t allow difficulties to discourage you, knowing that you are one step closer every day to having what you desire, becoming who you want to be.

Your MIND is your most POWERFUL tool in the pursuit of your dreams. If you have no faith in yourself, no belief that you are capable, thinking that what you want is not possible for you, then you will never have it, because you have already talked yourself OUT of it. But if you have confidence in yourself, believe that you can, and know that NOTHING is impossible for those who truly desire their dreams, then you are more than walking potential, and no matter how long the journey to get to your destination, you WILL arrive.

When you believe, you do everything you can to accomplish your goals, take the risks necessary, seek out the people who can help along the way, and do not allow the negativity of others to dissuade you from your path. When you have a dream and a vision you believe in, knowing that even if you do not have all the answers to everything that might happen along the way right now but just go ahead and start regardless, you will be able to overcome anything, something greater driving you through everything, because you BELIEVE.

It’s not enough to want something. It’s not enough to THINK that you can accomplish your goals. You have to BELIEVE in not just your dream, but in YOURSELF, and know that ANYthing is possible if you believe that “I CAN” do it!

SURROUNDING ENERGY

Anyone who wants you to dilute who you are, or asks or expects you to change for or around them is not someone you need to be with. Everyone, even you, is sensitive, and that is not a “bad” thing, but if who you are hurts of offends someone and they cannot handle or “deal” with your personality, then you need not be in their presence.

You should never have to “dim” yourself for anyone and anyone who thinks you should is negative to your energy. You will feel it, yourself retreat, a tension and aggression that will frustrate you and ultimately “drain” you. When your energy becomes drained, YOU become drained and you cannot live life as fully or make as much difference or the difference you want if you are not “charged” or your energy is “muddied”.

Take a stand for you. For your truth, which you have always spoken, even if others have not believed it until they believed it. Just be yourself, as you are. Realize your power. Take notice of the effects and effecting change the way you desire and need it to be, to change your life so that you can be your best you, to make the most difference and impact possible.

Life is full of CHALLENGES. It is full of OBSTACLES. It is full of DISBELIEVERS. It is full of OPPOSITION. For every supporter you have, there is a hater. For every beautiful moment in time, there is a memory that crushes your soul. For every mountain climbed, there is a canyon to cross. For every star that is born and rises, there is another that falls from the heavens and dies in a blinding flash of light.

Do not allow the negatives in life to outweigh the POSITIVES. Do not let the moments of sadness overcome the incredible periods of HAPPINESS. Do not let the challenges prevent you from living life COMPLETELY.

LOVE life, no matter what happens. Love what you DO. Love the fact that every day is a NEW chance to start OVER. Love those who love you and never let a moment go by that is opportunity to let them KNOW how much they mean to you.

COMMITTMENT, POSITIVITY, AND WILLINGNESS

Life is full of struggles, challenges that force us to rise to our POTENTIAL. Some see the hardship in the challenge and give up because they find it too difficult, whilst others CRAVE the challenge and seek every way possible to use the experience to BETTER themselves.

There IS a way through every challenge, if your eyes are OPEN to it, thinking OUTSIDE the box, nurturing creativity and GROWTH in your soul. There is an OPPORTUNITY to DISCOVER new aspects of life and of yourself, gifts waiting to be ACCEPTED and OPENED with wonder.

To FIND the way through life’s challenges you have to be COMMITTED: To yourself, the goal, the dream, allowing your mind to filter away any negativity about the outcome, knowing that if you have faith it will all work out. Not always as you wanted or expected, but in a way that will only ENRICH your life, adding to the wealth of experience you ALREADY have, EXPANDING your mind and heart, and opening up your soul for even MORE blessings.

To get THROUGH life’s challenges, you need to be WILLING to walk the path before you, no matter how daunting or unknown. You have to believe in yourself and your ability to OVERCOME, ensuring POSITIVITY even when your heart might feel faint at some point in the journey. Your willingness to WORK through the obstacles thrown in front of you reveals your soul, the way you seek to conquer them and see them as stepping stones to GROWTH.

Moving through life is a FORWARD journey. You cannot grow if you stay still or move backwards. You HAVE to move forward, ALWAYS forward, focused on the FUTURE stretched before you, knowing that you have the LIMITLESS potential to create in it whatever you want it to BECOME.

COMMIT yourself to the path you have determined to walk. Be POSITIVE about your chances of success. Seek WILLINGLY the path less taken and carve your OWN path. Stride FORWARD in FAITH and BELIEVE for the BEST.

2012 | Day 249: LOOKING BACK

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

Why look back and regret what has been? For without it you would not be where you are NOW. You would not have grown the way you have to become the person you are today. You would not have been moulded in such a fashion that you would be placed as you are with the desires that you have and the emotions that you feel if NOT for what you have experienced.

Instead of regret, look at it with eyes of AWAKENING. See the journey for what it has been; every experience for its role in making you who you ARE. Every individual who has crossed your path has been for a reason, no matter how small, and some have been SIGNIFICANT players in our personal growth.

Life is a journey of LESSONS, and as we move through it we constantly EVOLVE, shifting with the changes, whether desired or not, creating the person that we will BECOME. Who we become is ultimately up to US and our power of CHOICE, for we choose what we TAKE from our past, what we hold onto and what we let go, what memories we cherish and those we bury deep down inside, the emotions we carry into tomorrow.

Choose to see the past in POSITIVE light, for what it has TAUGHT you, the OPPORTUNITIES it has given you, the people it has BLESSED you with, even if that past is one of pain and suffering and loss, for in the midst of that endless heartache there is a light, a HOPE that kept you going, a faith that stayed you to this world. Something inside you is GREATER than your circumstances or what happens to you and in the end YOU are responsible for what you DO.

You DECIDE your future. YOU CREATE your destiny. It’s all on YOU. OPEN your eyes, mind, heart, and soul, to see the BIGGER picture and move FORWARD into the future.
