WILD DARK

There was a burning wild inside of her, and the first time she gave up complete control to let run rampant, thrilled her. The thrill enticed excitement, for the wild was Woman, whom she had always denied, choosing instead to mask with the armour of Warrior.

The release of the wild stirred something else inside of her, reckless and dangerous. Surrounded by death, she sought solace in the arms of a twisted angel.

In the darkness, she forsook her tormented soul for the moments of peace it brought, desiring the rare quiet of her mind that accompanied it. She could not have known that what initially began as a distraction from the chaos outside would become an addiction for the chaos inside and awaken the demon that was shadow to her angel.

Two years ago this day, "REBORN" was permanently inscribed on my skin (in ancient Chinese calligraphy). It was a heartfelt reminder that every death was the birth of a new lifetime, of each resurrection I had made through the fire after each awakening. Little did I realize that the two years to come would cause the most devastating destruction and uproot everything. Yet in the wake of it all, choices were made ("I DECIDE" on my left wrist another permanent reminder that in the end, I am the one who ultimately decides what I will do) and what took shape as the flames and smoke began to slowly dissipate in the darkness was no phoenix rising but something else entirely, that breathed in the chaos to let grow stronger its burning wild. Wild woman to dark angel and awakened demon, now Gemini Goddess. Embraced entirely, a universe contained delicately, explosively, within beautiful skin, I had to let shatter all that I was to become all that I am and was always meant to be.

Transformation is never easy. But never is anything worth being done. Transformation illuminates the soul, opens the heart, saturates the mind, "reconnects" your "being" as you "become". More. Better. Different. Changed. Awakened. Transformed. From the inside out. It will show. You will know. You will be more "you" than ever before. And that is beautiful. Wonderful. Glorious. Magnificent. Amazing. Blessed. You are. By Him. Give thanks and embrace the change, the challenge, the "coming". It will be worth it. You'll see. Believe. Trust the process. Transform.

You kissed me first. That was a surprise. And it was that first kiss that startled me. I had been blindly unaware that there was anything there.

It really is the simple things. The little things. The surprising things. That can cause sudden stop and no longer allow us to ignore the stirrings of our soul.

I never thought anything of our time together. It was simply an energy I had come to accept. Something I came to look forward to. A rare space where I felt safe and calm.

It was that first kiss. That made me realize many things. How out of tune I was with my emotions. Not knowing how to handle feelings having spent my lifetime ignoring any.

I had to face them. Be honest with myself. No longer able to deny the truth of what I had thought nothing of. Because for me it was no small thing at all.

One kiss. All it took. To awaken the wild (woman) in me and create a course with indefinable destination. Because I kissed you after that and you kissed me back.

CRIMSON [FIRE] GODDESS

Embrace the fire.

Hell is your purifier,

flames the change

lighting your path,

reforging your heart

through the pain,

crimson stain glow

seeping to gold

weeping through your veins

altering your soul,

perception now enlightened,

your inner goddess awakened,

new power stirred,

strength found and grasped

in the heat

of passion that

sets you alight,

brighter than ever

in this world's darkness.

You are

darkness and light,

hell and heaven,

death and life,

destruction and growth,

pain and beauty,

you all at once.

Embrace it all.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

GUARD YOUR HEART

Next to your soul, your heart is your most precious “possession”. For everything in your soul makes its way to your heart and eventually that in your heart becomes what you act upon.

I have always guarded my heart so carefully, barricaded it with stone walls upon stone walls and then more and more. But I let my heart open, those walls break a little, and when they did, I let the stone lie where it fell. Still though, I am careful what I let inside, even though sometimes something creeps in that I don’t see and affects me more than I realize until it shows.

Be ever so careful what you let into your heart, for sometimes it can destroy you and deter you from the path you are meant to be walking. That we let touch our heart becomes a small part of our soul, and if we’re not careful, can lose pieces of our soul to that which comes to “steal” our hearts.

When some of us love, we love with all we are and give everything of us. Sometimes a blessing, but also a curse, for when we love without restraint, if that love should break us it can take with it parts of us that are forever lost, and leave us “incomplete”. When you “lose” yourself and fall to shatter into immeasurable pieces, there is only one who can find all those pieces and make them resemble anything “whole” again.

Yet we cannot help sometimes that we love. Like I did not realize the ones who crept into my heart until they were there and so deep a part of me that at the time to rip them from me would be to rip away parts of myself, so deep “under the skin” were they, embedded into my soul itself. Even as “time heals all wounds”, to “remove” them from myself still caused irreparable damage, and so instils the “lesson” to watch ever more closely that which you even let NEAR, for like the wolf in sheep’s clothing some come close to only want to “steal your soul”.

Instead, every morning, seek His “face”, His wisdom, His words, His protection, asking that He guard your heart, to ensure that which is allowed inside is that which would only “cultivate” the seeds He has placed within you, give life to the dreams and desires being “birthed” anew, and nourish the precious soul that has been tested through the depths of hell to find “rest” nestled there. Make sure the souls that surround you, as you do those you “embrace”, want nothing more than to see yours fly, your heart to soar, to reach your ultimate potential in this world and see your “light” spread as far as the ripples on the ocean of life can take it.

Your heart is precious and should be treated as such. Not just by those in your life, but by YOU as well. You can let it be seen, but ask for His discernment before you allow anyone or anything in.

2012 | Day 249: LOOKING BACK

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

Why look back and regret what has been? For without it you would not be where you are NOW. You would not have grown the way you have to become the person you are today. You would not have been moulded in such a fashion that you would be placed as you are with the desires that you have and the emotions that you feel if NOT for what you have experienced.

Instead of regret, look at it with eyes of AWAKENING. See the journey for what it has been; every experience for its role in making you who you ARE. Every individual who has crossed your path has been for a reason, no matter how small, and some have been SIGNIFICANT players in our personal growth.

Life is a journey of LESSONS, and as we move through it we constantly EVOLVE, shifting with the changes, whether desired or not, creating the person that we will BECOME. Who we become is ultimately up to US and our power of CHOICE, for we choose what we TAKE from our past, what we hold onto and what we let go, what memories we cherish and those we bury deep down inside, the emotions we carry into tomorrow.

Choose to see the past in POSITIVE light, for what it has TAUGHT you, the OPPORTUNITIES it has given you, the people it has BLESSED you with, even if that past is one of pain and suffering and loss, for in the midst of that endless heartache there is a light, a HOPE that kept you going, a faith that stayed you to this world. Something inside you is GREATER than your circumstances or what happens to you and in the end YOU are responsible for what you DO.

You DECIDE your future. YOU CREATE your destiny. It’s all on YOU. OPEN your eyes, mind, heart, and soul, to see the BIGGER picture and move FORWARD into the future.
