GIVE THANKS

BEAUTIFUL, beautiful day! A day of THANKSGIVING and CELEBRATION of all the BLESSINGS He has bestowed upon us; of GRATITUDE and WONDER for the FREEDOM of our souls; of the wonders of life WAITING to be discovered and EMBRACED. A day to remember with JOY because we HAVE it; life to LIVE it and REMEMBER all He has done for us, RELEASING us from our prisons, setting us FORTH on our journey UP the mountain of life, creating in us the desire to give MORE to life, to leave more than a little part of us behind in EVERY soul we meet and touch, to make our DIFFERENCE bigger and better and GREATER than we might ever have imagined.

Give THANKS! For all that you HAVE; all that you ARE; all that you are BECOMING. Be GRATEFUL that you have made it this FAR, the struggles and heartache and pain merely NECESSARY stepping stones to the HAPPINESS that now fills your soul, so that you can UNDERSTAND and APPRECIATE the BEAUTY of what your heart is now experiencing, the WONDER of it, that it DOES exist for YOU and that you CAN have it if you desire it so strongly. Let the LIGHT in your heart and the SMILE in your soul be a BEACON of HOPE for those out there who are walking where you have BEEN, giving them STRENGTH to KEEP going, knowing that there are BETTER days COMING.

Be BLESSED! Look back ONLY to LEARN your lessons; look FORWARD to what is to COME; ENJOY and live IN the MOMENT. Life holds far MORE for you, a lot more to be THANKFUL for, blessings and love you might have rejected at any other point in time but are now able to ACCEPT, because you are in a place where you are at EASE with yourself and have GROWN “into” who you are, KNOWING what your heart TRULY desires, no longer IGNORING the calling that you have forever suppressed, WANTING to give your soul MORE room to GROW and FLOURISH, so that you BLOSSOM into the person that God always INTENDED you to be, having ALL that He intended you to have.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

IMPERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL

You are HUMAN. The “machine” that everyone used to see has “become” HUMAN. Machines are not perfect and humans even less. But that’s ok. Because it is inevitable that to be human is to be imperfect. We have emotions and feelings and thoughts that create a “flawed” stated of being within it. It is permanent.

NO ONE is perfect and to expect it of yourself or anyone else is unreasonable. That does not mean that one cannot set the standard high, but if you set it at “perfect” all will fall short. Yet when you set it thus you also give the opportunity to SHINE, to achieve excellence that might not have been attained before, the true potential of a soul revealed.

Even in IMperfection there IS perfection. Everyone perceives things differently and when others look at you they do not see what you do. They see the soul that has lit up, the sparkle that twinkles in your eyes when you smile in genuine happiness, the helping hand extended to others, the willingness to try despite all obstacles. They see BEAUTY in your imperfection and that to them might be “perfect”.

You are FLAWED. But your flaws make you YOU. They add to your uniqueness. They all come together with everything else that is you, a being created for His glory, to create something that is “flawless” in its imperfection. Flaws give us a chance to improve, to learn and GROW as we strive to become all we are meant to be. They are the “steps” we climb and conquer on our way to “perfection”.

Everything about you is SPECIAL. Imperfect and flawed as you are, you are PRECIOUS. Your soul means so much, even if sometimes you might not think so. You are your own brand of beautiful. You just need to learn to ACCEPT that imperfect does not mean you are not worthy, that flaws do not mean you are not wonderful, and that you are BEAUTIFUL in only the way that you can be. So accept it and just BE.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TAKE CARE OF YOU

If you do not take care of YOURSELF, you will be in no shape to care take of anyone ELSE. It’s time to take care of YOU, so that you can give your BEST to the world.

No more letting yourself go, even though you have been HAPPY the last few weeks. No more “I can get away with it”, because it has been shown that you actually cannot any longer if you are not TRAINING. No more time off from training, even if your body HAS needed it. No more allowing yourself to sleep in, even though your body has welcomed the REST. No more comfort, even if you have enjoyed it for the FIRST time in your life. You may have been happy and enjoyed it, and it may have helped you in SOME way, but it has NOT been conducive to your health and well-being. It has NOT been kind to you and is NOT “taking care” of yourself.

NO MORE letting yourself go! No more COMPLACENCY! No more “It’ll be ok when I get back on track” attitude. It’s “back on track” NOW and NO going BACK! No more backwards motion! Only FORWARD!

You were doing just fine before. You were in a good place, comfortable physically, and you WILL be again. You were finally SATISFIED with where you were and now it is all gone, but you CAN AND WILL be in that state again. Only this time you will be BETTER! AND you will be HAPPY, able to allow yourself to ENJOY life and MAINTAIN that satisfaction [in your body] withOUT any complacency, striding only FORWARD with your life, because the future holds so much for you!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LOOKING BACK

Why look back and regret what has been? For without it you would not be where you are NOW. You would not have grown the way you have to become the person you are today. You would not have been moulded in such a fashion that you would be placed as you are with the desires that you have and the emotions that you feel if NOT for what you have experienced.

Instead of regret, look at it with eyes of AWAKENING. See the journey for what it has been; every experience for its role in making you who you ARE. Every individual who has crossed your path has been for a reason, no matter how small, and some have been SIGNIFICANT players in our personal growth.

Life is a journey of LESSONS, and as we move through it we constantly EVOLVE, shifting with the changes, whether desired or not, creating the person that we will BECOME. Who we become is ultimately up to US and our power of CHOICE, for we choose what we TAKE from our past, what we hold onto and what we let go, what memories we cherish and those we bury deep down inside, the emotions we  carry into tomorrow.

Choose to see the past in POSITIVE light, for what it has TAUGHT you, the OPPORTUNITIES it has given you, the people it has BLESSED you with, even if that past is one of pain and suffering and loss, for in the midst of that endless heartache there is a light, a HOPE that kept you going, a faith that stayed you to this world. Something inside you is GREATER than your circumstances or what happens to you and in the end YOU are responsible for what you DO.

You DECIDE your future. YOU CREATE your destiny. It’s all on YOU. OPEN your eyes, mind, heart, and soul, to see the BIGGER picture and move FORWARD into the future.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

STAY STRONG

Wherever you are in your life, difficulty WILL happen. It is inevitable and how you RESPOND to it will determine how it affects you not just now, but in the long term. FACE your struggles and accept them for what they are, even if you do not fully understand and see them only as “tests” or “lessons” for what you are not quite sure you are yet supposed to be learning.

Life is a battlefield and we ALL come across a mine in our time. You might have stepped ON it, see it and cannot stop the movement that will result in your contact with it, or it might already be too late and you did not realize what happened until it blew up and left you destroyed. Your decisions from this point forward will determine your destiny, the path that you’re walking on, who you’re walking it with, whether you stay or go, run or hide, fight or flee. Your choices in this MOMENT will start the process that “creates” who you will become.

Stay STRONG and analyze the situation in the time that you have. See the solutions, no matter how “undoable” they may seem and EMBRACE the “challenge” that now opposes you. Use it to test your mettle, your INSTINCT, your desire to SURVIVE. From the depths of your soul will rise a will to LIVE, for it cannot accept defeat, that this is all life has for you, knowing that there is MORE out there and you were intended for GREATER purpose than this. You just have to get THROUGH now to get there.

Breathe DEEP and try to stay calm. Attempt to allow your soul to RELAX, because you need your logic and reality to act on the blink of an eye, knowing that sometimes even the ILLOGICAL and most improbable solution is the “answer” you need to “pass”. Instinct and FAITH, “letting go” of what it “appears” to be and “seeing” what it really is, TRUSTING that this challenge will only bring you out stronger AND better than before, preparing you for that to come.

STAY strong. This is but a MOMENT in a LIFETIME of “moments”. This is but ONE of many “mines” you will stumble across. This is but one decision you will have to make that could either break or create the future you are heading towards. Hold TIGHT the vision of your future, the dream, in your mind, and know that He and your soul will lead you TRUE towards it if you ALLOW it and BELIEVE it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

WILD RISING

There comes the time when your soul says “enough is ENOUGH”, when you decide that no longer will there be ANY allowance of compromise in anything you might do, those who you spend time with, and the dreams that you chase. There WAS a time once before when you were so sure in yourself and the path you were following that you never hesitated for a moment; but somehow you allowed yourself to be “caught”, trust misplaced in what came to be a “keeper”, fighting your instinct in a toxic relationship that eventually took destructive toll on the wild creature that was never meant to be caged, [dreams returning of the time when there was freedom to roam and instinct trusted to guide true].

A “wild creature” might be “tamed” for a time, but in the end its true nature will roar for supremacy and it WILL fight for what it has always meant to be, breaking free [or die trying as it does] of the bonds that hold it captive and seek to prevent it from becoming the powerful force that is its destiny. Wild creatures do not suffer “mistakes” lightly and as soon as they realize thus they “accommodate” them little longer, understanding that there is no purpose in allowing such things to remain and that it only serves to give that which should never have had any, more power.

There was never a time when your soul did NOT have the “power” to walk away from the cage it found itself in, even as it might have taken the lessons of captivity to help it FIND that power and “release” it. Once released and you are “free”, even if in times past you did not endure “fools” easily, you find now that there is even less patience for those who only seek to ultimately be as the one who became “keeper” and deter you from the path your instinct drives you along. Therefore, anyone or anything that “stands in the way” of the truth in your soul is cast from your life as the wild creature juggernauts past them.

There is a new ferocity in the “beast unleashed”, something deeper than “wild” glimmering in the depths and those around it become aware, even as it “feels” different but the same as it was before. The determination is more determined, the strength stronger, the passion more passionate, and the aura for those who can discern it changed, even as it has not. There IS a difference in the soul of a creature once again free and if you do not yet understand it, you WILL.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

RISE UP

The night has passed in its darkness and all things hidden suddenly alight within it, words said and emotions wrought as a soul grasps itself together yet one more time. But yes, the night has PASSED and is no more. In that should be the same of what transpired within it: Let gone and let go and given to Him, for some things our soul should not bear if we want to stand unencumbered by chains of any kind, even those we might have once placed upon ourselves.

The day dawns, the fingers of light reaching across the sky reaching for you, to remind you that light pushes AWAY darkness and a NEW day has begun. A new day and a new time, giving you another opportunity to start fresh and claim it as your own, your life to walk forward in His grace and share YOUR light with the world.

As we grow in darkness, so too do we grow in light, and all that occurs in darkness will eventually be revealed in the light. Let not the darkness be the strength creeping in your soul, but take from it iron strength and indomitable will to mesh with the positive energy and healing love of the light.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

PAST PRESENT FUTURE

The past has GONE. LEARN from it. Do NOT dwell on it. Look back on it only to TAKE from it lessons that have moulded you into who you are TODAY.

The present is HERE. It is a GIFT. It is a chance to live IN the moment. It is your “second chance”, a time to get it RIGHT. It is your opportunity to create the life you WANT to live.

The future is COMING. It has YET to be determined. It will become what you start NOW. It is your MOTIVATION to “becoming”. It is your VISION of reality, the one you see in your soul.

You canNOT go back and CHANGE the past. You cannot change the moments ALREADY gone in the present. But…you CAN change what will BE. You can turn your heart to those dreams and desires and set your mind and actions on the path that will LEAD you to their manifestation.

You CAN change the way your life is going. You CAN change the future you are determining NOW. You CAN become and be all that you want, all that you have the gift and potential for. You CAN.

It’s YOUR choice WHAT lessons you keep in your soul. It is YOUR choice what blessings you SEIZE and hold onto and never want to let go of. It is YOUR choice what DIRECTION you walk in.

Know that in the end everything comes TOGETHER to create what you have been BUILDING. Your past taught what you do and do NOT want, gave you the tools you need to get through whatever life throws in your path on your way to reach the stars. Your present is STILL giving you gifts, the people to walk beside you, the love that burns brighter with you, the drive to continue on, even as your past falls away. The future you are reaching out FOR, reminding yourself why you do what you’re doing, justifying the actions that lift you towards the stars you seek.

Know your SOUL. Know your DREAMS. Now CREATE them!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

YOUR ANGELS

Too often we take the people in our lives for granted, failing to see the blessings they are until they are gone from us, until we have “lost” them and realize what a hollow they create with their absence. Everyone is a reason, a season, or a lifetime, and no matter how short or long their stay in our sphere of life, they EVOLVE some aspect of it, of US - whether they make us more aware of who we are and what we are capable of, give us experiences that cause either tremendous pain or joy so that we learn the meaning of what it is to truly grieve or be happy, or simply teach us to appreciate life in ALL its facets of perfections and flaws and ACCEPT ourselves in it.

Sometimes we recognize too late the “angels” we have been given to guide us through or walk beside us in and on our journey through life. The awakening of such awareness as it is HAPPENING is not something everyone gets, but if you are lucky enough to have such a GIFT, especially as your life is intertwined with another, be grateful for it, thankful for what they ADD to your life, taking pleasure in and acknowledging the DIFFERENCE that would not be thus without their presence.

Angels come in many forms and guises, not always as you might expect and almost always impossible to forget. When your soul is OPEN you will know them, seeing with your HEART instead of through physical sight or analysis of logic and reasoning, and when you see you canNOT go back - only FORWARDS.

Learn to be AWARE and realize how good life is, how WONDERFUL a place the world can be, how faith and hope can be RENEWED in a heart almost gone dark, and APPRECIATE the true value of every soul who touches your own.

2013 | Day 31: APPRECIATE EVERY MOMENT

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

APPRECIATE EVERY MOMENT

EVERY single moment in your life is SIGNIFICANT. There is SOMEthing to be learnt from EVERYthing you experience, no matter how small or large it is. Sometimes the BIGGEST life lessons we learn come from the SMALLEST things, events that we might not even recognize at the time.

Life throws things at us we are not always PREPARED for. It knocks us down when we LEAST expect it. It takes the wind from our sails just when we thought we were sailing on SMOOTH seas. It does this so that He can see how we RESPOND. He wants to see what we are made OF.

There is a LESSON in EVERY experience we go through, every PERSON we encounter on our journey of life, every time we FALL down, every time we make a MISTAKE, every time we get HURT and feel like we will break, every time we come to a crossroads and realize that we ARE only human and cannot do everything on our OWN. The lesson might be one in HUMILITY, ACCEPTANCE, GRATITUDE, or something else, but no matter WHAT it is, it is VALUABLE in our mission to become the BEST that we can possibly be.

You might not always UNDERSTAND it at the time. You might not always ACKNOWLEDGE what is happening. Just remember that EVERYthing happens for a REASON and in time, if not now, you will SEE that reason and KNOW it.

APPRECIATE life. APPRECIATE every single moment that you have on this earth. APPRECIATE every breath you take, every morning you wake to a new day and are given another chance to “get it right”. APPRECIATE those around you and the love that you have. APPRECIATE that you are special to HIM and He values you. APPRECIATE and you’d be surprised at the way your life can CHANGE.

2012 | Day 343: SECOND CHANCE

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

SECOND CHANCE

Your life is changing in ways you never thought it would. You are in a place you never thought you would ever be. You have found a faith that you never thought you would need or care for. YOU are changing more than you ever thought possible.

Do NOT be afraid of the change. Everything you have been through was for a REASON. Every heartache and tear wrenched from your soul, every moment of pain and frustration and confusion, every feeling of hopelessness and despair, was all for a reason. Out of the greatest pain [often] comes the greatest GROWTH. Out of the greatest pain [often] rises the GREATEST and most BEAUTIFUL of souls.

You have been through that pain. You know what went wrong, what lessons you had to learn, even if the way you had to learn them was so drastic that you felt like your soul would be torn asunder for all time. Know that from the pain will come STRENGTH greater than you ever thought you could have, regardless of you knowing that your soul already has strength of its own.

Hold ONTO the faith that you have found. It will pull you through even the darkest of times. Never be ashamed to cry out to Him, to plea from the depths of your soul for help, on your knees in the most desperate of times, for He ALWAYS listens and He always ANSWERS, even if the answer is not the one that you seek. Know that the answer He gives is what you NEED, because He knows even before you do what your SOUL needs to survive, what your heart needs to be ALIVE, what your mind needs to be ENCOURAGED.

A door in your life may have closed, but there HAS been opened a window. It might be small, seem impossible for you to see yourself fitting through it at the moment, but know and accept that NOTHING is IMpossible with God on your side. NOTHING your heart dreams or aspires is out of your reach if you desire it with EVERYthing that you are, and with such consuming passion and commitment to making it happen, you CAN.

Have FAITH and BELIEF in YOURSELF, that you are stronger than you think and have far MORE within you than you might ever have known! YOU have the POWER to CHANGE your life! You have been given a SECOND chance! Make the MOST of it and become EVERYTHING He always intended you to be!

2012 | Day 293: EVERY DAY

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

EVERY DAY

The shadows of yesterday fade in the sunrise of the new day. The burdens weighting down your shoulders can be lifted after a night of rest. The eyes that looked like a storm can sparkle with hope and life.

Every day is a NEW day. Another chance to make a CHANGE, to CREATE the dream your heart has been calling for. Another chance to make life as you WANT it and not just allow yourself to accept and settle for the circumstances you find yourself in.

CLOSE the door on yesterday. Let its troubles not weary your soul, but take from it the lessons learned and put them to use with a smile, knowing that you will not go back from whence you came, but only surge FORWARD, gaining momentum that propels you into the destiny awaiting you. Accept the people in your life and know that there is a PURPOSE for each one, and take delight in the time you have when you have it, because you never know when that time will be gone.

You have wanted a FRESH start for a long time now. Today brings a NEW chance to turn your life into the life you want and dream of, to take the risks your soul knows you must, to leave behind the abuse you have allowed yourself to endure, to stop running from the heart that seeks you, to allow that smile to grow as you do.

If you want a new BEGINNING, this is it. This is your chance, your time to ACT. Take the opportunity and move with it as far as it will take you, and when you can go no further, keep the faith and CONTINUE on, for life is not over until YOU are, and He has GREAT plans for your future!
