TURN IT ALL AROUND

There is NEVER a time when you do NOT have the power to CHANGE your life: The direction you’re going in, the people in it, the dreams headed towards. EVERY passing minute is an OPPORTUNITY for you to make decisions that will alter the course of your destiny in a way you might never have imagined. Every decision could turn your life AROUND in a way you could never have foreseen and be something that gives you the ultimate experience of your life.

There is never a time when YOU do not have the POWER to change YOUR life. All it requires in BELIEF in yourself: That yes you ARE in control, that your soul instinctively knows best the path to take when you come to a crossroads, that when you’re not sure faith too is powerful beyond belief. Belief and TRUST in something far greater than you: He is ALWAYS there, and even if it might seem sometimes we stumble, it is not for the hurt that we do, but the lesson in preventing the fall, or picking ourselves back up if we fall.

There is never a TIME when YOU do not have the power to change your LIFE: If you stumble, correct your motion as best you can to create the least damage possible; if you fall, get back up as quickly as you can; if you injure yourself in the fall, realize that you do not have to do everything alone and sometimes being strong means admitting you need help. There are people in your life who will never walk away, who would pick you up and carry you if they had to; never forget that.

YOU always have the POWER to CHANGE your life! You ALWAYS have the power to TURN it all AROUND! OPEN your eyes; see through your SOUL; CONNECT with your world. It is ALL there: Everything you need, everyone you need, within and without. Stay TRUE to your soul; KEEP the faith; hold tight to His PROMISES. Know that in the end everything will be all right; you will arrive where you are supposed to, no matter how long or far to get there; it is a truly life-changing journey to BECOMING.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOU

Be YOU. Just the way you ARE. If you change, change for YOU. If you grow, grow for YOU. If you dream, dream for YOU.

Do not let anyone take AWAY from who you are. Do not allow them to make you into LESS than the wonderful and beautiful creature that is you. Do not give them the power to control what you think and feel and dream.

BE you. In EVERYthing you say and think and do. Fear not to be yourself, uncut and raw in your emotions and feelings. Pause not in voicing the soul that hides inside the fragile yet resilient body housing it.

Let the world SEE you for who you are. Let it KNOW your story. Let it journey WITH you without letting it change you. Let your SMILE light up the dark when your thoughts are storming or another is tearful. Let your heart LOVE the ones who simply accept you and bring you so much joy every day.

BE YOU. Be BOLD in your chasing of dreams. Be ORIGINAL in your style and set yourself apart. Be LIMITLESS in knowing what you can accomplish and achieve in the “impossible”. Just be YOU.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

SECOND CHANCE

Your life is changing in ways you never thought it would. You are in a place you never thought you would ever be. You have found a faith that you never thought you would need or care for. YOU are changing more than you ever thought possible.

Do NOT be afraid of the change. Everything you have been through was for a REASON. Every heartache and tear wrenched from your soul, every moment of pain and frustration and confusion, every feeling of hopelessness and despair, was all for a reason. Out of the greatest pain [often] comes the greatest GROWTH. Out of the greatest pain [often] rises the GREATEST and most BEAUTIFUL of souls.

You have been through that pain. You know what went wrong, what lessons you had to learn, even if the way you had to learn them was so drastic that you felt like your soul would be torn asunder for all time. Know that from the pain will come STRENGTH greater than you ever thought you could have, regardless of you knowing that your soul already has strength of its own.

Hold ONTO the faith that you have found. It will pull you through even the darkest of times. Never be ashamed to cry out to Him, to plea from the depths of your soul for help, on your knees in the most desperate of times, for He ALWAYS listens and He always ANSWERS, even if the answer is not the one that you seek. Know that the answer He gives is what you NEED, because He knows even before you do what your SOUL needs to survive, what your heart needs to be ALIVE, what your mind needs to be ENCOURAGED.

A door in your life may have closed, but there HAS been opened a window. It might be small, seem impossible for you to see yourself fitting through it at the moment, but know and accept that NOTHING is IMpossible with God on your side. NOTHING your heart dreams or aspires is out of your reach if you desire it with EVERYthing that you are, and with such consuming passion and commitment to making it happen, you CAN.

Have FAITH and BELIEF in YOURSELF, that you are stronger than you think and have far MORE within you than you might ever have known! YOU have the POWER to CHANGE your life! You have been given a SECOND chance! Make the MOST of it and become EVERYTHING He always intended you to be!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

You’ve “remade” yourself more times than you can count. You’ve sculpted your body numerous ways over the years as goals and priorities change. You’ve transformed yourself like a chameleon. And now you’re about to do it AGAIN…

It’s a new season. The perfect time to “reinvent” yourself in the model that you want to be, the version of you that will best REPRESENT you in the days ahead, the example that you want to give and BE to the world. Today starts a NEW day, a new week, a new SEASON. It is your chance to start “over” and create the you that you want to be and see. It is your time to get it “right”, with no falling off the trail or veering from the path to another destination other than the one you have set yourself.

The signs in the road you’re walking on say “under construction”. It is true of life and it is true of YOU. From this day forward YOU are UNDER CONSTRUCTION, piece by piece, one step at a time, minute inspection of the being you are and calculating the length of time to the endpoint in your mind. It is time to put up the mental signs to keep you “on track”, pull out the demolishing equipment, and whittling away the parts of you that have NO place in your future.

It’s not just your BODY under construction, but your MIND as well. The way you think, how you perceive the world and that which is in it, your place and role in life, exploring the ULTIMATE version of you inside AND out, so that, come the end of the season (or however long it takes you to build your masterpiece), you are everything you WANT to be. And then some…

Your new body is under construction. Your soul is undertaking the hardest journey of all in making the mental parallel of that physical “transformation”. YOU are beginning from the very start the life and you that you always dreamed of being and are MEANT to be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

ORDINARY TO EXTRAORDINARY

All of us are born a masterpiece and yet we are all “ordinary”. When we open our eyes for the first time, we might have an amazing destiny “planned” for us, but we have yet to step into that destiny, for it is determined based on the choices we make throughout our lifetime. Prince or pauper, when we come into this life we are the SAME. We are helpless and weak, reliant on others to “guide” us on our life’s journey.

As we get older this CHANGES. We can either choose to STAY as we are, or we can rise above what happens to us, for circumstances are not always easy and this world is cruel, determined to take each one of us and wear us down until we are nothing but dust. Those who REFUSE to let themselves be overcome by the “plague” of the world and fight back, digging in their heels and pushing back against the forces of “darkness” coming at them, taking a stand, are those who “transform” from “ordinary” into “EXTRAordinary”.

You become “extraordinary” by taking CONTROL of your fate, by determining your destiny YOURSELF, instead of letting the world “dictate” what and who you should be. The world is going to do all it can to “test” you, to put you in the most destructive circumstances, to see if it can break you and leave you bleeding on the cold, stone pavement for all to trample over as they pass. The “ordinary” who look inside themselves and find something GREATER than where they find themselves become something else altogether as they “transcend” their circumstances.

All of us are born “ordinary”, with the POTENTIAL to become “extraordinary”, a “masterpiece” on the walls of time, for others to look up to as an example of how life should be lived, how hardship can be conquered and that what happens to us does not determine our destiny. Hardships, the burdens the world tries to sink us beneath, are all there to see WHO will rise above it and become those “extraordinary” leaders that others emulate and follow.

So no matter where you find yourself, no matter what your past has been like, no matter what you have seen and done, know that you can CHOOSE to use it all to make you into a “higher’ being, a better version of you as strength is sought and found, willpower is caught and caged, determination and passion are unleashed alongside each other in your “fight” against the world, in your “battle” for life.

All of us are ordinary masterpieces. Some of us stay as we are and some of us “evolve” into something else altogether. What do you WANT to be? What will you CHOOSE to be?

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

EVOLUTION

Those whom I have let know and walk beside me can see how I have changed, the evolution that has occurred, and know that it is not yet over. Those who do not know me can also see in the time that they have known of me that something has changed and can only watch as that change continues to unfold.

I remember the person I was. I know that person. I understand her. I have seen how far she has come, how she has changed and the difference the changes have made. I also know how she is the same, the aspects that have grown stronger, darker, harder and more resilient, even as they are nothing as they were yet are.

I know where the woman I am is now. I know how conflicted is her heart and how close to complete breaking was her soul. I know the chaos that flees through her mind, the darkness that sometimes overshadows the light. I also know that it is a place she cannot stay.

I see where the evolution of my being can take me. I know that nothing is always as it seems and that a huge part of my future lies in the decisions and actions I choose upon in the now. I know that there is more growth to come, but that it can only make me better than who I am today.

Far from where I once was, but still far from where I will ultimately be, I can only make the choice to walk forward with courage and positivity, knowing that I am not alone, my strength drawn from Him, my refuge in Him, and that there is nothing that will come at me I cannot face without fear.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIKE A DIAMOND

You are a TREASURE. SEE yourself as one. Take a step OUTSIDE your own mind to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. You’d be surprised by what you find there, the way another views you, the things you might never even see in yourself. ACCEPT that you are beautiful in your own unique way to another.

The way we see ourselves is coloured by our EXPERIENCE and what we are constantly told, the affirmations that may never even have been affirmations - only condemnation that we might have accepted as truth because we didn’t know any better, and when we did, so ingrained in our minds that it can take a lifetime to remove.

CHANGE the way you think. See yourself as a being of VALUE. Remember that you are PRECIOUS - if not to yourself, then to someone else, and even if everything in your life seems to be bleak, you are always shining bright in someone else’s eyes, a BEACON OF HOPE to them, so hold onto life and open your eyes to what is TRULY going on around you and the effect that you create.

YOU are a treasure. See YOURSELF as one. See yourself for the DIAMOND that you are and use the prisms of your soul to SPREAD AND ILLUMINATE light into the lives of all you meet and touch and connect with. SHINE bright in your sphere, so that the world cannot help but NOTICE you for the gem that you are.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

OPEN TO THE POSSIBILITIES

Your life is NOT yet over. There is STILL air in your lungs, even if sometimes they feel like someone has crushed them beneath the weight of the world. There is still hope in your heart, even if sometimes it feels as if you’re clinging to it by the MEREST of slivers. There is still faith in your soul, even if sometimes you wonder why and ask yourself what you are holding on FOR.

There is still LIFE in your life, even if sometimes you cannot see the way or know what the next step to take is. There are multitudes of POSSIBILITIES swirling around you, just waiting for you to open your eyes to see them for what they are; to see them standing there in front of you wanting you to see them, as you want yourself to be seen.

There IS love out there for you. It might have had folded arms and guarded smiles, but it IS there; as cautious as you because it has been hurt over and over, scars it wears proudly because it still has the courage to believe that it WAS meant for this life, beauty that only another soul who sings the SAME tune can see and appreciate.

Life is FULL of infinite possibilities. Endless opportunities call YOUR name. You could walk in ANY of myriad directions. You could traverse far MORE than one ocean. YOU could live a life of untold wonder and unimagined joy. You just have to SEE it. You have to realize it and understand that it IS there for you. You have to be OPEN to it. You have to step INTO it.

Taking that FIRST step is always the hardest. Walking AWAY from what you know for what you don’t is always apprehensive. Opening up your heart and soul again for something new is always a RISK. But all the risk in the world is WORTH it, because without it, you would never truly know what it is like to be blessed, to live happiness, to experience peace, to grow and evolve, and to REALLY live.

2012 | Day 300: BEING DIFFERENT

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BEING DIFFERENT

We are ALL born UNIQUE. We are ALL born different. Just not everyone sees that. Not everyone accepts their differences. They want to blend in, instead of standing out as they were MEANT to.

You were NOT created different to become like everyone else. You were created different to BE the difference in the lives of those who are blessed with your presence. You were intended to stand OUT and have a positive EFFECT as much as possible. You were designed with a PURPOSE, one unlike anyone else, that only YOU can fulfil.

The world will ALWAYS try to CHANGE you into something and someone who is NOT you. EMBRACE your differences and know that it is far better to be YOU than an imitation of anyone else. It is far better to be you than allow yourself to be LOST in the crowd of souls who brush who they are aside because it is not accepted. It is far better to stand alone in your TRUTH than to compromise who you are.

Realize that you ARE different. Understand that you are different for a REASON. EMBRACE your uniqueness, your personal quirks and traits, and strive to develop your gifts and abilities to their FULL potential. Stand TALL in the world and just be YOU. If you change, change for YOU, and only if it will make you BETTER than you are.
