MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIVING FLAME

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Sometimes it takes more than once; multiple “lifetimes” to create the best version of self that can possibly be, even as we continue growing and evolving with each “resurrection”. Every experience contributes to the being we are and become, but not everything is necessary to be taken “with” us into the “new” and there come times in our lives when we must leave behind all that was for all that will and could be. We must “release” the old so that the “new” can live in victory.

As a phoenix rises from the ashes of its own flames, having grown through burning “hell”, purified by heat and pressure like a diamond, so must and do we. Everything cold and dead or that no longer serves purpose in our lives with forward progression and momentum must be removed and let go of, the fire within that burns so bright separating itself from anything that would drag it down or hold it back from burning brighter and flying higher.

Find peace with your past, but let it shatter far beneath you as you rise on fiery wings to soar above the ocean, through the heavens, in the midnight sky, as another glowing flame spreading light in the darkness. Let everything ice burn and melt away with the heat of the passion and life that flickers and roars for freedom, and hold nothing back from the heat. Let the cold, hard prison that once “captured” you break as the fire burns it from the inside out, the world seeing the soul inside rise and shine.

Everything of “old” has been transformed; weakness become strength, with passion and heart renewed. The “new” has different feeling than what was, even if there are similarities in appearance, for the inner change, the evolution of soul, the spark that lights the fire now was created from the “death” of what “made” the new, the flames clean and bold and free from the dust and smoke of yesterday.  Burn as you were always meant to, a living flame, as an example.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

EVOLUTION

Those whom I have let know and walk beside me can see how I have changed, the evolution that has occurred, and know that it is not yet over. Those who do not know me can also see in the time that they have known of me that something has changed and can only watch as that change continues to unfold.

I remember the person I was. I know that person. I understand her. I have seen how far she has come, how she has changed and the difference the changes have made. I also know how she is the same, the aspects that have grown stronger, darker, harder and more resilient, even as they are nothing as they were yet are.

I know where the woman I am is now. I know how conflicted is her heart and how close to complete breaking was her soul. I know the chaos that flees through her mind, the darkness that sometimes overshadows the light. I also know that it is a place she cannot stay.

I see where the evolution of my being can take me. I know that nothing is always as it seems and that a huge part of my future lies in the decisions and actions I choose upon in the now. I know that there is more growth to come, but that it can only make me better than who I am today.

Far from where I once was, but still far from where I will ultimately be, I can only make the choice to walk forward with courage and positivity, knowing that I am not alone, my strength drawn from Him, my refuge in Him, and that there is nothing that will come at me I cannot face without fear.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

WHO YOU WERE MEANT TO BE

“Success” is a word that gets flung around a lot, but do the people that use it always know what they are referring to? “Success” means something different to every individual, and just because one defines it as “x” does not mean that another will share their opinion. Sure, “success” can be what the world sees - accomplishments and awards and trophies. But that is barely a single aspect - certainly not the most important one at that - of “success”, and even if you have none of those accolades does not mean that you have not obtained “success”.

“Success” is far more than what the world SEES. It is a process - very much like the ongoing journey of life - that occurs INSIDE of a person. It is the personal battles and struggles that they fight and overcome. It is the fierceness of their desire in following their dreams, the adamant courage and determination that consumes their hearts, the unrelenting force of willpower that enables them to stand apart from the rest of the world as they strive to become the person they were meant to be. It is learning from the past and using every experience to move forwards, even if they’re not entirely sure where it is that they are heading, as long as they know that the direction is only taking them further and higher than they gave ever gone before, the journey moulding them into something better by the day.

It takes courage to walk alone - if that’s what one must do. It takes strength to face the unknown - any place you have never gone before can cause trepidation. It takes more than simply wanting it - it will take EVERYthing you have to become everything you were meant to be.

Some people will never obtain “success” and become all that they were meant to be, whether by lack of will or strength of character, or allowing others to simply hold them back and keep them stagnating. It is sad, yes, but it is also truth.

Those brave souls who dare to be themselves, do what others think impossible, unwilling to compromise who they are and the desires of their heart, will be the ones who achieve true “success”.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BOLDLY & DEEPLY

Life is a “destiny”. It is a DECIDED future, albeit not one that we yet know with certainty will be as we will or wish or desire. It is set in motion by the DREAMS deep in our soul that we let “lead” our actions in the here and now. For the here and now is all we have that is certain, and what we have that is certain we must be certain to use to ensure that what we might have is as likely as possible, no matter how improbable or inconceivable it might be in the present time to “see” or understand.

LOVE dreams. And love is the most irrational of all creatures and countenances of our heart. Yet love also shows us the “true” nature of our dreams and reveals the passion of our character, as it uncovers all that we are willing to do, even if we do not yet consciously know it, in the pursuit of the dreams lodged so deep within our souls that they MUST become a reality in some time and space, whether manifested by us as the result of determined discipline and persistent hard work or as such unfathomable means.

Life is for LIVING. Living is LOVING, for loving “creates” us through its experiences, every single one, either ultimate happiness or deepest heartache. When we are HONEST with ourselves and can look our heart deep in its essence we can begin to understand the truth of who we are and how we live and what we can be, the potential that lies within our soul, the strength that keeps us together and the boldness just waiting to be let out.

Love DEEPLY. For when we can allow our soul to love we are more open to the reality of a future created by DREAMS. When we give ourselves permission to be “human” we learn to tap into the DIVINE within us and begin to walk boldly through the present, paving the way towards a future that is but one possibility but was always meant to be. When we live our TRUTH and refuse to allow ourselves to be compromised we begin to “become” far more than we might ever have dreamed of being.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

PATH TO "BECOMING"

Everything that I have been through up to this point is my PAST. The past is GONE and yes, we are supposed to let it GO. BUT…That does NOT mean that we ever forget it, for it has played an ESSENTIAL role in creating the person we are TODAY. Every experience, every tear, every smile, every heartache, every joy, every person who has entered and left, every sunset and dawn, everything has contributed to our personal and spiritual growth and development. Everything has advanced our MATURITY as an individual and in LIFE. EVERYTHING. There is NOTHING that is insignificant, even though some events stand out as milestones on the path we have traversed.

My past has taught me. It has given and it has taken from me. It has forced me to bend and break and yield. It has caused me to rise and fight and determined strength. It has been a path through plains of drought and fields of plenty, up mountains of struggle and down waterfalls of ease, and through it all, I have been moulded.

My past may have helped “create” me, but it does not DEFINE me. I am NOT my past. I am who I CHOOSE to be. I am what I have chosen to TAKE from my past, what I have ALLOWED to creep inside my soul and reside there, pulling my heart and guiding my mind in its formation of life and purpose.

I can look back on my past and see the steps, the journey, the experiences that have been the biggest “turning points” in my life. I can recognize the PEOPLE who have had the most impact on my soul and created the most development in my being. I can understand that from my SOUL stems my feelings about life, starting unconsciously, until it manifests either in heart or mind, through emotion or vision. I can ACCEPT that EVERYTHING has been a part of my path to AWARENESS, my journey of growth and development.

Everything current and future will eventually too become part of my past, part of my journey, my STORY. Everything that has happened, is happening, or will happen, is IMPORTANT. But not as important as SEEING it as it happens and understanding that not all things in life will shape us in the way we desire, but instead in the way that we NEED, in order for us to become ALL we CAN be.
