LIKE A DIAMOND

You are a TREASURE. SEE yourself as one. Take a step OUTSIDE your own mind to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. You’d be surprised by what you find there, the way another views you, the things you might never even see in yourself. ACCEPT that you are beautiful in your own unique way to another.
 
The way we see ourselves is coloured by our EXPERIENCE and what we are constantly told, the affirmations that may never even have been affirmations - only condemnation that we might have accepted as truth because we didn’t know any better, and when we did, so ingrained in our minds that it can take a lifetime to remove.
 
CHANGE the way you think. See yourself as a being of VALUE. Remember that you are PRECIOUS - if not to yourself, then to someone else, and even if everything in your life seems to be bleak, you are always shining bright in someone else’s eyes, a BEACON OF HOPE to them, so hold onto life and open your eyes to what is TRULY going on around you and the effect that you create.
 
YOU are a treasure. See YOURSELF as one. See yourself for the DIAMOND that you are and use the prisms of your soul to SPREAD AND ILLUMINATE light into the lives of all you meet and touch and connect with. SHINE bright in your sphere, so that the world cannot help but NOTICE you for the gem that you are.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

UNFINISHED WORK IN PROGRESS

We are all an UNfinished “work in progress”, simply because we will NEVER be done BECOMING. We will NEVER be done LEARNING. We will NEVER be done making mistakes and finding out how to FIX them. We will NEVER stop DREAMING and STRIVING to REACH those dreams. We will NEVER stop SEEKING to do ALL we can to make as much DIFFERENCE we can. We will NEVER allow ourselves to just STOP and give up when life gets tough. We will NEVER allow ourselves to crumble in the midst of ADVERSITY, because we know it will only create in us something STRONGER and more POWERFUL than we might ever have thought possible.

We will ALWAYS be working TOWARDS something NEW, something GREAT, something that will leave a LEGACY of HOPE and FAITH and BELIEF. We will ALWAYS be working THROUGH the pain and fear and heartache and loss that we deal with in life, to LEAD by EXAMPLE that life kicks ALL of us and we do NOT have to give it the power to destroy what we are BUILDING.

We KNOW we are CAPABLE of far MORE than we have done and can ever fathom, and we know that in order to BECOME all that we are MEANT to be, we must LIVE life and EMBRACE it with all its smiles and CHALLENGES, because it’s the JOURNEY that is going to REVEAL the TRUTH and MAKE us into what we WILL be.

ADVERSITY

Adversity, hardships, obstacles, when life kicks you down so low you don’t know how long it will take you to stand – that’s when you see the TRUE measure of a person. That’s when you see their real CHARACTER. For when the sun goes into hiding, if there is no true light in one’s soul, all that will be seen will be the darkness seeping out from them. When the winds fare not well on the ocean of life, then shall the temperament kept locked down in the hold of their soul be unleashed.

When you come across adversity, you discover things about yourself. Some might surprise you, even for those pure in heart, for they are not what you thought you were capable of. Some do not, for the true soul, the one who is not afraid to live transparently, has nothing to hide from those who would seek to thrown stones at glass castles.

When you stand against adversity, you pull deep down to the core. You find strength you might have never had to use before. You find courage to use that strength. You find a hardness that would never have become otherwise. You find that your soul has much more capacity to love and forgive than you ever thought possible for you. You find different dreams hiding in the crevices of your heart.

When you face adversity, you become so much MORE than you are. You come through the fires of hell with any excesses burnt away, so that all that is left standing is the true creature that you are. You come away with greater knowledge of your soul and all that you are willing to do, understanding better than ever that which has become dearest to your heart.

When you look adversity head on, you can know that it is nothing more than another of life’s tests, a game meant to break you down to your essence, so that you can know what you have. You can know what is at your foundation. It destroys so that you can rebuild – into the person you have potential and were always MEANT to be.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BRAVE ENOUGH TO VENTURE

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Don’t be afraid of setting off on journey that you aren’t completely sure of. Don’t be afraid to go at it alone.

Some of the greatest successes in life come after making multiple mistakes, not knowing the complete process when begun and finding out along the way, doing it alone because no one else has the faith to see what you see and believe in.

But to achieve those successes, you must first START. You MUST try. You must be determined to see it THROUGH, no matter the cost, time, or effort expended. There WILL be obstacles that you must overcome, sometimes more than moments of triumph as you applaud the next step up the ladder taken. Yet in the end it will be WORTH it.

Are you ready to IGNORE the excuses as to why you “cannot” or shouldn’t do what it is your heart desires to do? Are you willing to make a few mistakes on your path to success? Are you brave enough to venture out and become a PIONEER who will light the way for others to follow because you refused to give in to the thought that it could not be done?

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LOVE YOURSELF

Loving yourself – who you are, with all your flaws and scars, especially when you know your past, can be one of the HARDEST things to do. It is also one of the most NECESSARY in order to live a happy life and lead successfully by example. It might be something you struggle with EVERY day, but at least make the EFFORT to learn to love who you are. TRY to see what OTHERS see when they look at you, think of you, knowing how they talk about you to others in what you have done and inspire them to do.

Look at your reflection - into those eyes that have seen more than you might ever tell, and try to ACCEPT the soul staring back at you. You can see every weakness, every agony, every experience that has brought you to the now. You know every thought, every action, every word, done or undone, that was in your heart during those times. You know who you are and what you are capable of. You see the ugliness in the beauty that everyone else sees, but know that there cannot be light without darkness, purity without evil, heaven without hell.

You are a COMPLEX and intricate being - PERFECT in your imperfections, BEAUTIFUL with your flaws, COMPLETE without anyone else, and the ONLY one of you there is, was, or will be. Love the AMAZING miracle that you are, reveling that you are still ALIVE and able to live life, given every new day as another OPPORTUNITY to help others recognize the POTENTIAL in themselves and inspire them onto GREAT heights.

If you love yourself, the world will know. If you do NOT, they might not know for a time, but eventually they will. No matter what the world sees, thinks, or feels, YOU SHOULD LOVE YOURSELF, for YOU and no one else, to be able to let YOURSELF live life as fully and completely as you try to inspire others to do. Start with YOURSELF and lead by EXAMPLE.

2012 | Day 350: JUST BE BETTER

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

JUST BE BETTER

It’s not about being better than anyone ELSE. It’s about being a better YOU. It’s about being better than you were the DAY before, the HOUR before, the MINUTE before. It’s about striving for CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT IN YOURSELF.

Everything done should have a PURPOSE. That purpose should provide a step not only towards your goals and dreams, but in making you into the person you were MEANT to be. And the person you are meant to be is an ULTIMATE version of you; a constant journey of BECOMING BETTER.

It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing. It doesn’t matter what anyone else looks like. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks YOU should do and be. What matters is that YOU are following YOUR heart and working towards YOUR dreams, and your dreams are making you BETTER.

Use the time you have NOW. Not in the future, nor living in the past. Live in the NOW and create the BEST opportunities for you to evolve into a HIGHER being, throwing all limitations ASIDE and ignoring any negativity from those who seek not to support or encourage your personal and spiritual GROWTH.

Life is a journey. No, it’s not JUST about you, but if you do not focus on you and becoming the BEST you that YOU can be, you cannot possibly give of your best and help anyone else become the best that THEY can be. Your life is an EXAMPLE to inspire and motivate OTHERS into becoming BETTER.

2012 | Day 346: ASK MORE OF YOURSELF

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

ASK MORE OF YOURSELF

NOTHING is IMpossible! NOTHING cannot NOT be done if you desire it ENOUGH! NOTHING has to remain JUST a dream if your soul feels so strongly about it that you live and breathe it! NOTHING cannot NOT be achieved if you ask EVERYTHING of yourself in the pursuit of it!

If you have a dream, but do not believe, then you need to START BELIEVING! You need to START SEEING that you have the POWER WITHIN to ACCOMPLISH WHATEVER it is that your heart desires! You need to START ASKING MORE of yourself, for without PUSHING YOUR LIMITS you will never know what you are TRULY CAPABLE OF!

If you have a dream, do NOT let it REMAIN simply a dream! Make it a REALITY! Make it YOUR reality!

To do that you must ask EVERYTHING of yourself! You cannot hold ANYTHING back! You must give of your ENTIRETY and BELIEVE in the depths of your soul that you CAN achieve it! If you do that, then NOTHING is impossible for you to hold in the palm of your hand and have in your future!
