Sunsets are endings: The end of the day quietly slipping into the night. Beautiful and without words: They are proof that not all endings are to be dreaded, or go badly. They are proof that all endings are also the start of a beginning; whether new or a different chapter of the same story. But every ending ushers in a beginning; even if that beginning is dark, uncertainty of what it holds, it should not be feared, despite any ambivalence about what is left behind in the ending that had to be for it to enter.

Do you understand
that you feel like a starting

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

METAMORPHOSIS

Metamorphosis can be a painful process, “trial by fire” with immense destruction and not everyone “survives” the process. Those that do are completely different creatures than those who were untouched by the flames; they who emerge from the fire have a new quality about them, the “difference” noticeable to all those who know them. There is a new strength that resonates beauty, scars that tell stories others will be inspired by, with a change in aura that reflects a deeper sense of self and awareness.

Sometimes the creature that emerges “looks” completely different to the one known in the lifetime passed. The fire often forges a new kind of creature, for everything not strong enough is burnt in the flames and that which is true pressured like a rough diamond, so that what has long been kept hidden might be revealed to the world. There is “magic” in metamorphosis and even though the creature that emerges from the flames is “new”, it is still the “same”, for the soul is still of the “old”, albeit having undergone its own transformation as it faces itself, choosing what to discard and keep.

Metamorphosis is often necessary, in retrospect a blessing to help bring us “into our own”, so that we might “see” life for what it truly is and understand the miracle of everything; that we too are such a miracle in the world and can be a source of light and inspiration regardless of our past. What we become might be something “strange” to others, even as it is beautiful, and many may dislike the change because it is not something they can fathom, but ignore them and let the “new you” follow the path that became so clear in the fire, so that you might fulfil the purpose resting on your soul.

Embrace the change and test the wings you have been given. There is “magic” inside you that was always intended to be released and the fire has peeled away the “fear” that kept it locked up tight, a new softness in the willingness to let your vulnerability be seen, a multitude of feelings and emotion escaping as you “step into the new”. The time of the past has passed and is no more; let it die with the fire and let the “new life” discovered in your soul be the one that you live and love, as you let yourself love and live.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

REBORN

Sometimes we need to die in order to know what it truly means to live. Sometimes we need to forget our lives before and just let ourselves live in the now. Sometimes we need to break down the walls of everything we were and create a new being. Sometimes we must experience the greatest happiness and have it torn from us and suffer, so that we can see the truth in the destruction and pain, and give ourselves a real chance to make our world right with a brand new beginning.

Dying does not always mean leaving everything you were behind. You will never be completely different, even as you are not the same person that entered the flames. Dying means burning away the weakness and developing the strength, finding new strength and sharpening the edges of the resolve that helped you survive so long. The difference will be in what the world sees, their eyes suddenly open as realization that you have always been what you said you were, but now you will not hide any part of it.

Dying is valuing yourself enough to take a stand, to admit you’re not invincible, not infallible, not a machine, and knowing when enough is enough and it’s time to start taking care of you, instead of just always pushing through and taking on so much you know there will eventually come a breaking point. Dying is reaching that breaking point and letting it go. It is letting yourself be broken, but not accepting such a state, putting yourself back together with wisdom alongside strength, so it does not happen again.

Dying means letting go of anything that might have held you back. It is finding complete acceptance in all that you are, all aspects of light and dark in your soul and now, instead of the darkness keeping you alive, choosing to let your light be the source of what keeps you going. It is embracing the woman who has long hidden inside the warrior’s armour, letting your heart be seen even as you still keep it locked up and only precious few inside, those rare true souls who truly cherish and understand it.

Dying is making one sacrifice for another. The sacrifice you make though you know will be worth it, for each evolution of you tears away the layers that were once a cold, emotionless machine who chose to be a rock island in the world, revealing the true heart that has been buried so deep for so long, breathing new life into it. Terminator to Warrior to Angel, saved by grace and reborn by fire, stronger and wiser and finding the beauty in the beast, walking forward without looking back.
