Those who inspire others often inspire, not because they are perfect, but because they are NOT. They have struggled and OVERcome insufferable odds, refusing to give up and stay down, living testimony to others that there IS hope. Their stories inspire because they are REAL people who lead real lives and yet manage to achieve "the impossible" when most would make excuses.
No life is "perfect", but things do not have to be "perfect" to be happy, successful, or blessed, and sometimes the way we "deal" with life and the things it throws at us "make" the inspiration others "draw" from. Even when they do not know your story, whether you want them to or not, are aware of it or not, the impression one might get can be powerfully influencing.
If one were perfect there would be NO inspiration, for there would be nothing "worthy" to admire. But when one is IMperfect and has no fear in admitting weakness, there is strength in that vulnerability, the risk to "expose" to scrutiny, for there is courage in such risk and willingness to let others see that "battle" and people relate to REAL.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE CONFIDENT

STOP looking at everyone else. STOP comparing yourself to everyone else. What anyone else is doing or has achieved is IRRELEVANT. No one else is YOU. No one else has YOUR purpose to fulfill. No one else can BE you.

EVERYONE has their own weaknesses and strengths. You might struggle with weaknesses others cannot comprehend. You might have no problems in areas that others never seem to have success in. Everyone can be and will be weak in some area, and everyone will be and have strength in other areas. Just because no one has the same weaknesses and strengths is NOT a bad thing. It simply means that we are all DIFFERENT, all intended to live DIFFERENT lives.

Once you accept that you HAVE weaknesses and are willing to DO something about it, then you can truly succeed. However, until you UNDERSTAND that you “need” others to help you in your quest through life, you will not. All of us have weaknesses and strengths because we are all meant to HELP each other. We are all part of the “puzzle” of life, fitting together to create a brilliant tapestry of unique genius, every thread and strand holding another in place and making it gleam as bright as it can, showing “it off” to perfection.

You are who you are, with your own talents and abilities for a purpose. That purpose is to BE you. To be you means you have ACCEPTED your mission and are ready to do what it takes to achieve it.

2012 | Day 211: NO Giving Up!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

One More Time

Human beings are weak. It’s in our nature. However, just because we are weak, does not mean that we cannot also be strong, and often our biggest weakness is attached to our greatest strength. God gives us that weakness to remind us that we are not almighty, that we are not impervious to imperfection, that we all have a role to play in the game of life, our weaknesses [and strengths] determining the purpose of our role.

We can learn a lot about ourselves from our weaknesses. What we are made of, what sort of character we have, whether or not we have what it takes to succeed and do more than simply survive this world.

We all have many flaws and weaknesses. Perhaps the greatest sin is to have no ambition, to simply exist with no purpose whatsoever, letting life pass you by. If that is the greatest sin, then the greatest weakness is in giving up on something that we dream of having, because we do not have the courage or the willpower to continue our journey towards the accomplishment of something great.

If you want to succeed, you canNOT give up! You cannot give in without a fight! You canNOT give in, PERIOD! If you want something so badly that your heart bursts with your desire and you can think of nothing else, not only is it weakness, but sin to give up on it, to let your light fade into the recedes of time.

When you feel like giving up, when all hope seems lost and the future dim, remember in your heart why you want what you want, why you have tried for so long to attain it, and draw strength from that secret well within you to KEEP GOING! PRESS ON! KEEP THE FAITH! And you will most certainly SUCCEED!

Day 158: HIS Glory, NOT Mine!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES OF THE DAY

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Phillippians 4:13

"God...also wants to use our weaknesses for his glory...Your weaknesses are not an accident. God deliberately allowed them in your life for the purpose of demonstrating his power through you...God is never limited by our limitations. COMMENTS

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~8 hours. Interesting.

Mood/Aggression: Positive. Happy. In a really great place

Energy: Like you wouldn't believe!

Endurance: Awesome.

Pump: Strong.

Vascularity: Got told today that the vascularity in my upper chest and around collarbone has increased dramatically.

Quality of Training: Whew! Running outside in the midday heat - what was I thinking?! LOL But, it was only for a short distance, so managed, even if I had trouble breathing . . . Resistance training was pretty awesome. I felt a little nauseous half-way through, but pushed on and had a great session . . . Rollers afterwards to complete today's training . . .

Recovery: Amazingly fresh, which is awesome.

Other Notes: HIS glory, NOT mine! It's true that he uses your weaknesses to show His glory and power. I know He does with me, especially since one of my physiological weaknesses is one that is IMPOSSIBLE for me to change! Every time I went to see a hematologist, they tried to put me on EPO for my genetic blood disorder (my red blood cells can only carry TWO oxygen molecules instead of the usual FOUR), but I refused; and every time a doctor ever saw me, they were surprised that my sports performance was not hindered by my condition, one commenting that my TRAINING was compensating and "acting as EPO" for me, which is a small miracle, and one reason why I can NEVER STOP training if I want my body to continue to function "normally" re breathing. I am just one individual, full of flaws and weaknesses, but that hasn't stopped me from doing and achieving things I should "never" have been able to do! In fact, almost everything about how my body works, etc. is in opposition to what is "acceptable" and "should" happen. Like Rick Warren said, God demonstrates His power through us if we let Him!

Cardio 21 min.

Stretch 20 min.

COMMENTS

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~8 hours. Passed out during an episode Fringe.

Mood/Aggression: Motivated.

Mental Focus and Clarity: It's funny the mental curveballs life throws at you, the stuff you learn about the past, that, if you had known this then, would have changed your life in more ways that you can imagine . . . But, I'm going to try and give my mind the day off today after those revelations . . .

Endurance: Fine.

Vascularity: Swift to come out - and stay.

Quality of Training: Good.

Recovery: After training, I did some more shoveling - not that anything needed it, but because I wanted to make paths through the snow, LOL - and my back is paying for it now.

Other Notes: The Life Audit is over - striding forward with a purpose!

FIT TIP OF THE DAY

Know and accept your weaknesses. Once you know your weaknesses, you can prepare yourself to fight against them, take measures to ensure your defeat of them when they present themselves. After all, the battle for your success is against yourself more than anything else.
