BEAUTIFUL

Beauty is not something PHYSICAL, even though it is and can be. Beauty is something in a SOUL, the smile of a heart, the whimsical wonderings of a curious consciousness. Beauty is something your HEART has to see to truly know and understand. It is something that has to be EXPERIENCED and it starts with YOU.

YOU have to recognize that you are beautiful. Not just realize it, but ACCEPT it. Your beautiful might not be anyone else’s kind of beautiful, but it is YOUR beautiful. You have to see the beauty that OTHERS see. You have to acknowledge that parts of you hold MORE than you think.

You ARE beautiful. SEE it. It might take time to accept it, but you NEED to. You cannot truly be everything that you are meant to and COULD be if you do not. For when you do, you OPEN your soul up to boundless opportunities you might never have had the courage to notice and go after before.

You have to know and understand and accept your special kind of beauty to know and understand and accept yourself. It’s not vanity to know this. It simply means looking at yourself through another’s eyes and making those eyes your OWN, seeing yourself with another heart’s perspective.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way. You see beauty in OTHERS. Start seeing it in YOURSELF.

2013 | Day 12: LOVE YOURSELF

LOVE YOURSELF

Loving yourself – who you are, with all your flaws and scars, especially when you know your past, can be one of the HARDEST things to do. It is also one of the most NECESSARY in order to live a happy life and lead successfully by example. It might be something you struggle with EVERY day, but at least make the EFFORT to learn to love who you are. TRY to see what OTHERS see when they look at you, think of you, knowing how they talk about you to others in what you have done and inspire them to do.

Look at your reflection - into those eyes that have seen more than you might ever tell, and try to ACCEPT the soul staring back at you. You can see every weakness, every agony, every experience that has brought you to the now. You know every thought, every action, every word, done or undone, that was in your heart during those times. You know who you are and what you are capable of. You see the ugliness in the beauty that everyone else sees, but know that there cannot be light without darkness, purity without evil, heaven without hell.

You are a COMPLEX and intricate being - PERFECT in your imperfections, BEAUTIFUL with your flaws, COMPLETE without anyone else, and the ONLY one of you there is, was, or will be. Love the AMAZING miracle that you are, reveling that you are still ALIVE and able to live life, given every new day as another OPPORTUNITY to help others recognize the POTENTIAL in themselves and inspire them onto GREAT heights.

If you love yourself, the world will know. If you do NOT, they might not know for a time, but eventually they will. No matter what the world sees, thinks, or feels, YOU SHOULD LOVE YOURSELF, for YOU and no one else, to be able to let YOURSELF live life as fully and completely as you try to inspire others to do. Start with YOURSELF and lead by EXAMPLE.

2012 | Day 284: BE YOU

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOU

There is no need to hide from the world. Let your soul SHINE. Let it be SEEN. Feel FREE to be you no matter what. There are ALWAYS going to be people who disapprove of who you are and everything you do, but there are also always going to be those who SUPPORT you in everything and want you to become all that you can be.

This world will always try to change you – do NOT let it. You do NOT need anyone’s permission to be you. You need only YOUR approval. You need only to know that you are being TRUE to you, holding your integrity at high value, your actions speaking with that integrity, never violating who you are and what you stand for. Know that you are alive for a higher purpose and STAY the course, regardless of others’ opinions, for they matter little in the end, as you are the ONLY one who can live YOUR life, and YOU must be the one who is at peace with yourself.

You are you for a REASON. Unique in every aspect of your creation, talented for a purpose, special to more than you may realize, beautiful in your own way, adored for what you do and who you are and the joy you bring to others, so do not let anyone take AWAY from that, living the life you deem worthy and would be proud to present to Him when you leave this world for the next.

Be you EVERY step of the way. Do not fear letting yourself be seen. Those who matter and truly care will love you for who you ARE, not for whom they want you to be, and will only try to help you become BETTER and fulfil your destiny. You do not have to seek them out – they will be drawn to you, as you to them, and together you can make a DIFFERENCE that will reverberate through eternity.

2012 | Day 282: FREE TO BE ME

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

FREE TO BE ME

After spending a lifetime having to hide myself it is FREEDOM to be able to be me, truly and completely, and not have it matter who sees me as I am. The world is not a safe place, but the world where I am IS safe for me to reveal my soul and allow others a glimpse of my true self, instead of a mask that gives an impression they get that I hate.

I am free to be me, to show my heart, to speak my mind, to let loose my passions and follow my dreams. I am free to choose my own path to walk, instead of trying to carry everyone else on theirs and losing myself in the process. I am free to open the heart that I have had closed for so long, to let others IN to know and understand it. I am free to be free, my soul lighter by the day.

It’s not that in the past I lived a lie, but the me, the REAL me, was often hidden away, others seeing only aspects of the complexity, aspects that they wanted or needed to see and never any inclination of the entire picture, never let past the barrier surrounding me. I know the impressions the world has and sometimes still has, now, but I never used to, and part of me screams out to be SEEN, to make it realize who I TRULY am.

And now I am free to BE me, as I am. It is liberating, uplifting, refreshing, motivating, gives a smile and a lightness that has eluded me except in the tumultuous times of reflection and deliberation that have instigated immeasurable change in my soul. I AM free to be me and I LIKE it, and those who do not do have the choice to walk away.
