CRIMSON DARK

I walk in blood
upon my soul
night as black
as day grows dark;
wings folded above my head
to frame the moon
as she rises red.
Crimson stain
seep through my heart
tears of ice
bleed cracks
that tear apart
the soul
trapped within
this fragile shell
of blood and bone.
And walk alone
upon this night
towards the light
I seek to find,
hope the only
drifting spark
guiding through
this endless dark
with faith that night
will lift from thee
and with it finally
set soul
