MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TREPIDATION

Your darkness is not what scares me. What 'scares' me is that I might feel too much for someone who feels too little for me.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

KEEP GOING

No matter what is going on in your life right now, the emotions coursing through you, the feelings surprising and confusing you, the people in and out, the overall kaleidoscope of everything, KEEP GOING. Remember, it’s ok to break down or have your moments, but you HAVE to pick yourself up and put it back together, because there is NO other option. It’s human to “fall” and “break”, experience highs and lows, but it’s WARRIOR to KEEP GOING, building strength and character in determination and action in moving forward even when we are not quite sure where we are heading.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE PATHS UNINTENDED

Sometimes talking with someone new can open up new perspectives, give new thought and ideas, offer new options. It may be merely by chance such an interaction, but it can have more effect than you know as what has been discussed mulls over in your mind. Where once logic ruled emotions had been allowed to take more control and now both are trying to work together to decide the best course of action, even as at the end of the day, instinct and “listening to your gut” will be the final determinant.

We all have times when we lose our way and even what had not so long ago been the surest of paths in front of us becomes blurry with doubt. Yet we must KEEP going, for there is no stopping. There can be no stopping, for if we rest we might get caught up in the fog and wander from all reason entirely.

Yet despite all reason, sometimes we stop. We want to rest. We want to close our eyes and seek comfort in that outside our realm. Sometimes it helps calm the storm and bring clearer vision. Sometimes it only exacerbates the situation and we find ourselves caught in the world we disappeared into when we “wake” again.

But there is hope. There is ALWAYS hope. No matter how dark the darkness, how unsure your footing on the path, whether there even IS a path to follow, you move. And in the moving you either find the path or create a NEW one.

Creating a new path, one not “foreseen” before you began your journey, is not all bad. Sometimes not all roads are meant to be traveled and in the “crossroads” of our “blindness” we unerringly come to the one that will start a new chapter in our life’s journey. A chapter that will force more growth, but in the doing open up different opportunities and viewpoints that we might not have considered or seen before.

Everything for a reason, so they say. Perhaps. Or maybe there is no “end” and the journey is the “creation”, for it is the journey where we struggle and learn and grow and evolve into something more than we were. EMBRACE the process. Be grateful that you are still alive to travel. Welcome the unexpected companions you come across along the way, whether they are meant to walk with you for mere minutes or far longer. You have nothing to lose, so let instinct guide you.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

TRUE TO YOUR FEELINGS

Sometimes the way we “feel” can be “wrong” – not wrong in the way we feel, but that the way we feel was not the intention of whatever made us feel this way. Confusing? Absolutely. Feelings ARE confusing. There is not always rhyme or reason for the way we feel. There is not always logic or common sense in the way our hearts wander. There is not always purpose to the emotion surging through our soul. There is only FEELING. And that feeling is what CONSUMES us.

We can embrace our feelings. We can push them aside and ignore them. Or we can deny their very existence. But, like an addiction, the more we deny that we have them, the stronger they become, and the stronger they become, like a pent up volcano, the more inevitable that they will eventually implode upon ourselves or explode out into the world. Implode or explode – both can cause massive destruction and consequences far beyond our reach.

Denial is the hiding place of either an ignorant or a coward, and sometimes by someone who is only trying to make the best of their lives and sees their feelings as a weakness. A weakness that can be turned against them, used as a weapon. But feelings are not always weakness, dependent on the feeling and the individual in question. Sometimes those powerful emotions can be a strength they never realized, a force beyond reckoning when accepted as being and released from their soul.

When something is so powerful that it can only GROW understand that there IS a reason, a purpose – maybe not now, but to be eventually seen and known. Sometimes when we accept in faith, instead of slowly destroying ourselves from the inside out, we learn more about OURSELVES and come to see the world in different light, infused with a deeper ability to “become”. Not denial, but ACCEPTANCE of inexplicable truths, moves us further along the path of enlightenment, because emotions are instinct.

2012 | Day 275: ANOTHER DREAM

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

ANOTHER DREAM

When you let go of a dream it is NATURAL to grieve. It is natural to feel pain. It is natural to feel a little lost. Especially when you’ve held onto something so dear for so very long and you finally accept that it may not be meant for this lifetime.

It’s not a betrayal to let go. Sometimes it’s the ONLY way to stop the pain and feeling of knowing what could be and never realizing it.

Our ability to survive and thrive can depend on our ability to ADAPT. If one dream should fall and break into a million pieces of glass we can always create a NEW dream. It will never be the same as the original, but that doesn’t meant it cannot be as great.

As we grow and change, so do our dreams. Sometimes it is our DREAMS that change us. Sometimes being open to the possibility of a new dream is what changes us.

Life is too short to live with a closed heart, even if everything about it suggests being shut off from the world is the way to survive. If you are closed off, you are closed off from the opportunity of experiencing joy, happiness, love, and yes, the darker emotions of anger, despair, and pain. But you cannot have some and not the others, for life doesn’t work like that, and even in a dream you cannot escape the circle of balancing emotions that encompass it.

Sometimes a dream is nothing but an illusion we deceive ourselves with, wanting to believe, when it but a nightmare we are trapped into, a cruel hope that keeps us going, giving us reason to survive. When that is our dream it is time to let GO and create another dream.

It might SAVE you.
