MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

TODAY marks the FIRST day of the REST of your life. What are you going to DO with it?

What happened yesterday has PASSED. Today is a world of OPPORTUNITIES waiting to be stepped INTO.

Yesterday might have hurt. It might have caused pain beyond belief, but that pain does NOT have to linger. It does not need to dwell on your heart and CONTINUE into today. Choose to let GO of that pain. Give it up to God and allow Him to HEAL the wounds in your soul. Let Him fix the broken parts of you, so that you can look at the world with eyes of WISDOM and know that even though there is pain in life, it is BEAUTIFUL.

No matter what state we are when we come before Him, He CAN fix it. He can make us WHOLE. He can COMPLETE what was missing, what was damaged, what we thought impossible to repair in a lifetime. He works MIRACLES in our favour, because He wants us to LIVE.

To live we must be able to see the beauty in the dawn, the hope in the light of the sunbeams streaming across the vast expanse of sky that crosses this world, and know that the dawn is another CHANCE. Another chance to RISK, to love and let those we love KNOW how much they mean to us, to start OVER and begin anew if we have to. We might have been broken in the past, but we do not have to carry that into the FUTURE. We do not have to live it TODAY.

Today is a NEW day. It is the FIRST day of the REST of your LIFE. Make the MOST of it.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE MAGIC OF BEGINNINGS

It’s the dawn of a new year, a new era, a new age. It’s the time for a fresh start, a clean slate, a new opportunity, a BEGINNING. It’s the moment to let go of everything that has gone before, accepting that it has moulded you in experience to be part of your testimony, but that it no longer has any power over you or in your life; no strongholds that it can hide in to ambush you at a later date. It’s the day that you EMBRACE the destiny that awaits you.

Your soul knows when it’s time, the start of a new year or not. It may have known for a while and yet you still found it clinging to remnants past, but now it’s time to walk AWAY from all that; everything that has caused destruction and despair and tears. It’s time to step into something NEW, full of opportunity and the promise of dreams, with renewed hope for a wish your heart has long held onto, the glimpse of your reality a dream no longer so far out of reach.

You KNOW and your soul rejoices, flooding final healing through your being much as the ocean washes over the shore and leaves the sand smooth and unbroken. The light that spreads through your essence is from the lifting of the darkness of everything that was “tainting” your soul - the burdens you took on that you should never have, the hurts that wounded you far more than you ever would admit, the toxic people you had let into your life - forgiving yourself and releasing it all.

TRUST your soul, those whispers in its depths, and know that it only wants what is best for you, instinctively already knowing what you need and what must happen for it to be. There is a magic in your soul that wants to be let out, given life with your first breaths of the new dawn and the aspirations that whirl inside your mind. Every “new” beginning is another evolution of your soul, one step closer to the ULTIMATE you, even as you always seek to become better and never should want to stop “becoming”.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THE DIFFERENCE

Whether you believe it or not, there IS a difference between “giving up” and “starting over”.

When you give up, you GIVE UP you stop trying; you lose motivation; you refuse to see that you are closer to the end than you think; you allow negativity to control you and dictate your actions; you might never have had the passion and drive to begin with to see your goal through to the end.

Starting over is NOT giving up. It is realizing that some things are better UNdone than together, broken than complete; that not everything is meant to be or intended to happen, regardless of how much we might want it to be. Starting over is ACCEPTING that and giving yourself room to begin ANEW. It is giving yourself a second chance to get it right, to live your life the way it SHOULD be lived in order that it is complete and fulfilled as possible.

Others may see your “starting over” as “giving up”. It simply means that THEY do not yet know the difference and have yet to learn to meaning. Give them time; not everyone learns life’s lessons at the same rate, and some never want to know or acknowledge them. What matters is that YOU know it, and this is YOUR life, so LIVE it!

2013 | Day 9: LET IT GO

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LET IT GO

There are always going to be things in your life that you cannNOT control. You can, however, control how you RESPOND to them. Sometimes the SHOCK of an event or circumstance can throw you off kilter, but you can always bring yourself back to BALANCE. Even if that something you thought long ago let go of, gone from your life, unable to affect you anymore.

When you discover that what you thought your soul had released can STILL elicit intense emotion, it does not mean that you have NOT let go of it. It just means that you are HUMAN. Maybe you have not truly allowed yourself the time to grieve for what you let go OF. Maybe you need to make a DAILY habit of letting go, giving it up to God for as long as it takes for your soul to have peace again.

Sometimes you need to take a deep breath and just BREATHE. Focus on your beating heart, calming your racing thoughts, bringing yourself back to a STILLNESS of mind. Give your soul room to COMPLETE whatever process it must in order to have CLOSURE. Accept that not everything is easy to let go of merely because you desire to.

Understand that life, the people and events that shape us, cannot so easily be forgotten and buried deep within the recesses of our soul, only to be remembered as times in which we underwent great change and personal growth. Sometimes that which plays such a huge role in whom we are lingers longer than it should, because it is important and deserves the respect due its significance.

When you find yourself in a place your soul never desired to be again, a place you thought you had left behind, despite the momentum that it propelled you into, you have to DECIDE to let go. Again, over and over if you have to. But you MUST let go. Take your hands off the steering wheel and have faith, trusting that He will drive you true, where you need to be and with whom.

2012 | Day 275: ANOTHER DREAM

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

ANOTHER DREAM

When you let go of a dream it is NATURAL to grieve. It is natural to feel pain. It is natural to feel a little lost. Especially when you’ve held onto something so dear for so very long and you finally accept that it may not be meant for this lifetime.

It’s not a betrayal to let go. Sometimes it’s the ONLY way to stop the pain and feeling of knowing what could be and never realizing it.

Our ability to survive and thrive can depend on our ability to ADAPT. If one dream should fall and break into a million pieces of glass we can always create a NEW dream. It will never be the same as the original, but that doesn’t meant it cannot be as great.

As we grow and change, so do our dreams. Sometimes it is our DREAMS that change us. Sometimes being open to the possibility of a new dream is what changes us.

Life is too short to live with a closed heart, even if everything about it suggests being shut off from the world is the way to survive. If you are closed off, you are closed off from the opportunity of experiencing joy, happiness, love, and yes, the darker emotions of anger, despair, and pain. But you cannot have some and not the others, for life doesn’t work like that, and even in a dream you cannot escape the circle of balancing emotions that encompass it.

Sometimes a dream is nothing but an illusion we deceive ourselves with, wanting to believe, when it but a nightmare we are trapped into, a cruel hope that keeps us going, giving us reason to survive. When that is our dream it is time to let GO and create another dream.

It might SAVE you.

2012 | Day 254: GOOD FOR THE SOUL

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Sometimes doing the very thing that you DON’T want to do is what you NEED to do to bring your soul PEACE. Comfort with yourself, confidence in who you ARE, the ability to let your worries fly free, are all markers of a soul that has come to terms with their ROLE in the world, knowing and ACCEPTING their deepest and darkest secrets, often hidden for so long from themselves at the core.

It’s GOOD for the soul to FACE your secrets, to face YOURSELF, to learn to let GO of the world you cannot change and focus on changing what you CAN, knowing that if you are NOT happy with what you see and know and are doing, changing a small part of the world, the one you are IMMERSED in.

It’s good for the soul to KNOW thyself, to get a grasp on WHO you are and WHERE you NEED and WANT to be. Change is a CONSTANT evolution and we must ensure that we are NOT left behind in the progression for BETTERING ourselves, the pursuit of our PURPOSE.

2012 | Day 154: There's so much you don't know about my soul

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

The HARDEST Thing

The things that are going to make the MOST change in your life are the things that are going to be the HARDEST to do. They’re also going to require the most RISK and cause the most HEARTACHE. They will fill your heart with happiness, whilst at the same time dripping tears down your soul. It might be hard to LET GO, but it is HARDER to hold onto something that is not meant to be. Life is meant for LIVING, so even if it means saying GOOD-BYE to something you love more than life itself, to HEAL your soul sometimes you MUST.

If you have to, cry yourself to sleep at night and put on a SMILE for everyone in the morning, so that they don’t know any different, and go about your life in a way that MAKES a DIFFERENCE in others’ lives. It hurts when the one you love the most loves you back, but is too afraid to take the risk you would give your life for in a heartbeat, and sometimes the only way to hide that pain is to do your best to help ease the pain of OTHERS.

It may not make any SENSE, but in the end the pieces will all come together for you to see the BIGGER picture, and everything will be CLEARER than ever. You might NOT want to do it, but you might HAVE to, in order to prevent regret from letting the pain of it all stop you from living as you were MEANT to, depriving your LIGHT and INFLUENCE from the world. Do not let your hurts prevent you from helping heal the hurts of others.

Do not let your pain cloud your heart and shut all POSSIBILITY out. Do not think that it is over, because there is so much MORE out there for you, so much BEAUTY, so many BLESSINGS, so much more than you could ever have IMAGINED, all just WAITING for you to open your arms and EMBRACE it, ACCEPT it, and just let it HAPPEN.

OTHER NOTES

Sleep: Maybe an hour or two - could not for the life of me sleep last night/this morning; too much going on in my head, even though I desperately wanted to just turn my mind OFF. Went to bed, got up, went back to bed again, watched a movie, got up, and went back yet again, finally in and out between 0800-1000, but hearing everything going on around me. Throat feels like it is closing over, head has a migraine from hell, and I got told as soon as I walked out "your face is all puffed up" (as if I couldn't already feel and know it). So, not the best of mornings to "get up" to, but determined not to let that dictate my day!

Energy: Actually had THREE servings of Assault today (and used the last of my last tub of the original formula) - time passed very fast and definitely didn't feel like TWO hours in the gym! Energy was smooth and clean, almost as if in slow motion - no jitters or crash.

Quality of Training: Changed things up a little today - still the same amount of time re resistance training, but a little more "cardio" in it. Blanking out a little during bits of it, but just kept on going, almost as if in a dream, from one thing to another. Definition in arms was great - one thing high-high carbohydrates does is help with that (and pump and vascularity - in general everything, and I have been told I do better overall with such)...Legs definitely feel better with the lower rpm re post-weights cardio on the Recline Bike - spinning, but not spinning as fast does them more good...
