MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

UNFINISHED WORK IN PROGRESS

We are all an UNfinished “work in progress”, simply because we will NEVER be done BECOMING. We will NEVER be done LEARNING. We will NEVER be done making mistakes and finding out how to FIX them. We will NEVER stop DREAMING and STRIVING to REACH those dreams. We will NEVER stop SEEKING to do ALL we can to make as much DIFFERENCE we can. We will NEVER allow ourselves to just STOP and give up when life gets tough. We will NEVER allow ourselves to crumble in the midst of ADVERSITY, because we know it will only create in us something STRONGER and more POWERFUL than we might ever have thought possible.

We will ALWAYS be working TOWARDS something NEW, something GREAT, something that will leave a LEGACY of HOPE and FAITH and BELIEF. We will ALWAYS be working THROUGH the pain and fear and heartache and loss that we deal with in life, to LEAD by EXAMPLE that life kicks ALL of us and we do NOT have to give it the power to destroy what we are BUILDING.

We KNOW we are CAPABLE of far MORE than we have done and can ever fathom, and we know that in order to BECOME all that we are MEANT to be, we must LIVE life and EMBRACE it with all its smiles and CHALLENGES, because it’s the JOURNEY that is going to REVEAL the TRUTH and MAKE us into what we WILL be.

2013 | Day 69: UNDER CONSTRUCTION

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

You’ve “remade” yourself more times than you can count. You’ve sculpted your body numerous ways over the years as goals and priorities change. You’ve transformed yourself like a chameleon. And now you’re about to do it AGAIN…

It’s a new season. The perfect time to “reinvent” yourself in the model that you want to be, the version of you that will best REPRESENT you in the days ahead, the example that you want to give and BE to the world. Today starts a NEW day, a new week, a new SEASON. It is your chance to start “over” and create the you that you want to be and see. It is your time to get it “right”, with no falling off the trail or veering from the path to another destination other than the one you have set yourself.

The signs in the road you’re walking on say “under construction”. It is true of life and it is true of YOU. From this day forward YOU are UNDER CONSTRUCTION, piece by piece, one step at a time, minute inspection of the being you are and calculating the length of time to the endpoint in your mind. It is time to put up the mental signs to keep you “on track”, pull out the demolishing equipment, and whittling away the parts of you that have NO place in your future.

It’s not just your BODY under construction, but your MIND as well. The way you think, how you perceive the world and that which is in it, your place and role in life, exploring the ULTIMATE version of you inside AND out, so that, come the end of the season (or however long it takes you to build your masterpiece), you are everything you WANT to be. And then some…

Your new body is under construction. Your soul is undertaking the hardest journey of all in making the mental parallel of that physical “transformation”. YOU are beginning from the very start the life and you that you always dreamed of being and are MEANT to be.

Day 80: Making Diamonds

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. COMMENTS

Mood/Aggression: Had a few great conversations this morning which made me think and set a few things in motion in my mind. I am in a good place and it can only get better!

Energy: Endless.

Mental Focus and Clarity: Couldn't be better.

Stress: High.

Libido: It's going to be an active evening later

Joints: My biceps' tendons are playing up again - which is normal on Shoulders' day, but even more sharp and painful than usual, and I had to literally dig my nails in for pressure on my right one during Single-Arm DB Lateral Raises else they would have not been done very well. Left wrist is still aching - not sure why.

Endurance: Great.

Strength: Strength was a little down on some exercises today, but up on others.

Pump: A little - more pain than pump.

Vascularity: Some - not as strong as it has been, though.

Quality of Training: HIIT was ok. A little slower than it has been today. I'm going to have to build my speed endurance up again . . . Resistance session was good. Trained a little later today and the weights room at the gym was pretty full. My biceps' tendons were causing pain, and some with wrists, so a lot of grimacing and making faces in the mirror. It was a longer session than I have done for quite a while today, but it's the only session for today (instead of doing two), so it's ok. Was feeling my hamstrings pretty well after even the first set of Stiff-Legged BB Deadlifts . . . Decided to go home and sit on my rollers afterwards, to help re recovery of my legs . . .

Recovery: Legs still feel somewhat shattered from last week, which is odd. Going to notice my shoulders tomorrow.

Other Notes: I feel like I have a LONG way to go to get to where I want to be, but I KNOW that I WILL get there with NO more interruptions or adjustments! I am a "work in progress", but getting closer to refining that rough rock into something stunning!

Day 44: Becoming! War Face On!

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Life is not having and getting, but being and becoming." - Matthew Arnold

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY

My Darkest Days - The World Belongs To Me

A Warrior is a Survivor. You never know what Life is going to throw at you, and a Warrior deals with it, even when no one else has faith that they can make it. Be strong. Hold to that inner strength. Be a Warrior.

TRAINING

Cardio 20 min.

Stretch 20 min.

COMMENTS

Mood/Aggression: Battle ready! I fight against myself on a daily basis, but the next eight weeks is going to be something else altogether!

Energy: Still feeling drained, but working on ignoring it and just DOING.

Libido: HIGH.

Endurance: Ok.

Quality of Training: Seems like my body is wanting 'recovery' this week

Body Composition and Look: 123.2 pounds at 11.2% bodyfat. My body composition has been 11.2% for the last three weeks - whilst maintaining it is ok, it's not really acceptable. Training the last two weeks has not been very high, with only two resistance sessions a week, which is definitely affecting my progress.

Other Notes: I ended up doing a 4-week recomp as initially planned because of training over the last week or so, but from now, it is all CUTTING! It's time to get LEAN!

Competition Notes: I was going to wait until I got below 10% bodyfat until I started posing practice, but I am going to start this tomorrow, for 5-10 minutes a day.

FIT TIP OF THE DAY

"Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." - Lou Holtz

Catch-Up Time

I am getting around today to doing quite a few things that I have not had a chance to do over the past few days - in between bouts of extreme tiredness and falling asleep at random times. I'm still sleeping a lot lately, which is not conducive to being busy (guess my body is continuing to make up for all the days when I slept little, if at all), and certainly not the best when I need MORE than 24 hours to fit into a day as it is, if I were fully awake, to do everything I need to do.

Applied Nutriceuticals are preparing for the launch of FREE TEST - which is in two days. If you haven't read about it already, then check it out (there's a link on the right side down the page under the heading 'Applied Nutriceuticals') - it's a promising new product, that will have the world buzzing as much as The ONE. I will be adding this into my whopper stack in a few weeks - I'm waiting until I am able to train properly and consistently again, so not to waste the supplements and time.

Mood has been ok over the last few days, despite everything. Energy, as already indicated, is poor at best, but striving to work through it. Mental clarity - when I am awake - is fine. Training status is still a 'work in progress' and needs immense improvement.

Slowly getting there, everything coming together . . .
