BURN BABY BURN

Burn for everything you’ve ever loved. Burn for the passion that beats within you that cannot be extinguished. Burn for the purpose that few can or will ever understand you live for. Burn for the reasons that make sense sometimes only to you and cause you to feel alive. Burn for the sheer enjoyment of having been through everything you have and come out the other side of the fire fiercer and stronger and more powerful than ever before. Burn for His glory and let the world see the light of your flames and be inspired by your story. Burn because there is nothing greater than being an example of the living light that can motivate others into sparking their own flames alight and igniting a wildfire charged with positive change and passion. Burn with everything you are. Burn because there is no other way to live than ON FIRE!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

THREE DAYS

A lot can happen in three days. From life to death to resurrection, humiliation and pain to glory and majesty, mortal "man" to "return to" God, Christ made the greatest sacrifice of all and in it the difference for us to be able to have eternal life instead of eternal death. His resurrection three days after His death is the only reason we can come to God and have a chance at "new life", our sins a crimson stain "washed as white as snow". Through His suffering He bore the weight of the world upon His shoulders, demonstrating unfathomable love, the "death" of one "man" the saving grace of all mankind.

Father, I thank You for such Love. It overwhelms and inspires. May we never forget and seek always to be living examples of Your Power and Grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOU

There is no need to hide from the world. Let your soul SHINE. Let it be SEEN. Feel FREE to be you no matter what. There are ALWAYS going to be people who disapprove of who you are and everything you do, but there are also always going to be those who SUPPORT you in everything and want you to become all that you can be.

This world will always try to change you – do NOT let it. You do NOT need anyone’s permission to be you. You need only YOUR approval. You need only to know that you are being TRUE to you, holding your integrity at high value, your actions speaking with that integrity, never violating who you are and what you stand for. Know that you are alive for a higher purpose and STAY the course, regardless of others’ opinions, for they matter little in the end, as you are the ONLY one who can live YOUR life, and YOU must be the one who is at peace with yourself.

You are you for a REASON. Unique in every aspect of your creation, talented for a purpose, special to more than you may realize, beautiful in your own way, adored for what you do and who you are and the joy you bring to others, so do not let anyone take AWAY from that, living the life you deem worthy and would be proud to present to Him when you leave this world for the next.

Be you EVERY step of the way. Do not fear letting yourself be seen. Those who matter and truly care will love you for who you ARE, not for whom they want you to be, and will only try to help you become BETTER and fulfil your destiny. You do not have to seek them out – they will be drawn to you, as you to them, and together you can make a DIFFERENCE that will reverberate through eternity.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE YOURSELF

It can be hard to realize that to be truly HAPPY you must be YOU. You – as you ARE, in your ENTIRETY. No hiding aspects of yourself away, but letting the world know by seeing how BRILLIANTLY you can glow – the way you have let others see you glow and the way you unconsciously glowed before from the touching of another soul against your own.

In that time you were happy – completely and unadulteratedly HAPPY. You were FREE to be you, with those who only longed to see more of the soul you had started to let peek out at the world. Somehow, between then and now, it ran away and hid again, and now you have to STOP that and let it back OUT – you need to OPEN up your trembling heart to the winter frost to find the sun and its warmth.

NO more hiding. No more shying AWAY. You have so MUCH potential inside you. You have so many DREAMS, so many HOPES and plans for the future. Let them OUT. Give them VOICE and see that there IS support – there are those who want to see your soul bloom like it did once before, and grow beyond that to FLOURISH.

Just be YOU. Not what the world wants you to be. Not what others want you to be. Not what you think you should be. Just be what you ARE and be UNashamed of it – do not forget your beauty, your wings, your UNIQUENESS and everything about you that stands you apart from anyone and everything else. Let your soul back out and simply let yourself BE.

When you can do that, KEEP on doing it. LIVE your dreams. Let the joy of refinding the passion that had slipped away infuse back into everything you do. Let the smile in your soul sparkle from the depths and light the smile of another. Give yourself permission to FLY again and GROW ever more into the person He intended you to be. Let the HAPPINESS become a way of life again.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

BE A VOICE

There are many voices in the world, but for very voice there is an echo. There are followers, people who simply repeat the words of someone else because they have nothing original of their own to say. DON’T be one of those people. Be one of the VOICES. Stand up for what you believe in. Stand alone if you have to against the crowd of the “norm”. Stand by your word and do not let the naysayers and disbelievers sway you from your conviction.

Being a voice can often be a lonely path. You are the one CREATING the path. You are the one braving the first steps into the unknown. You are the one risking your life going over the edge of the cliff first. You are the one who is assaulted first. ACCEPT it. EMBRACE it. Even though it might be daunting, there is SATISFACTION in walking in a different direction than the crowd. CHANGE is created when an individual breaks away from what is known and sets off in another pursuit.

The greatest pioneers of this world were once voices that spoke out against what was. They were voices that talked of dreams and visions and the “impossible”. They dared believe in something other than what they were told to believe in. They traversed UNexplored paths and discovered amazing destinations. They “recreated” the world and changed lives in ways that could not be imagined in their time, but that we could not imagine being withOUT in the now.

Do not be afraid to let the world hear YOUR voice. Do not be afraid to dance to your OWN song. Do not be afraid to walk AWAY from the crowd and find your own path. Do not be afraid to be an INDIVIDUAL. You never know the DIFFERENCE you might make, the ripples of effect of change that your words and actions could bring. LISTEN to the inner voice in your soul and let it OUT into the world, so that it hears too. BE the voice that shouts in the mountains, not the echo reverberating back at you. BE the change!

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

YOUR CALLING

Don’t let others stop you from doing what you KNOW you are MEANT to do. Don’t give them the power to take AWAY from your MINISTRY. You do what you do because only YOU can do it; only YOU can give the world what you bring to it; only YOU can be the blessing that you are.

There will ALWAYS be those who will hate what you do – whether simply to create mayhem, or because it touches some chord in them they do not like or want to acknowledge, or some other reason known only to them. Do NOT listen to them. Do NOT let them scare you off. Do NOT let them DETER you from your path, because you KNOW what it is and WHY you are walking it.

Your life and EVERY step you take has a PURPOSE, and you are DETERMINED to see it THROUGH to completion no matter what it takes, the obstacles in your way, the difficulties that lie ahead, because you KNOW what He has tasked your heart with. You know that withOUT your gift to the world it will never be, and that would be a tragedy.

What you do has an EFFECT on the lives of others – feed off the POSITIVE energy and know that you ARE making a DIFFERENCE, CHANGING hearts and minds and lives for the BETTER. KEEP on doing what you are doing. LISTEN to your soul and the words placed upon it to be spoken, speaking that POWER out into the world, to be captured and meditated on and nurtured into seeds of greatness in the souls of others.

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

The chirping of the birds in the morning, as you lie in bed, singing to each other and letting the world know that a new day has begun and it’s time to open your eyes. The sun streaming in through your windows or an overcast sky of grey, the air warm and gentle, welcoming you as you step out into it. The sounds of others in the house as you begin to move around, your morning routine so habitual it happens without thought, as you listen with a smile and watch fondly, the ones you love. The feel of the cold ground on your feet, harsh with tiny stones and sand, grating at your tender feet, the soft grass sharp contrast, each one required and sought at times. The whisper of the wind through the trees, past your cheek, lifting your hair, a swift moment of calm before the heat of the day sets back upon you. The sheer magnificence of God’s creation, nature in all its glory spread before you like a live film, the lakes in the distance, the cliff edge stood upon as you take a moment of reflection in the beauty before you.

Life is all around you. It is in front of you, beside you, behind you, in you, and it is BEAUTIFUL. Yes, there are times when the weight of the world and the burdens you bear alone can bring you down and you want to rest, to sink to your knees and just stay there awhile, maybe even sleep, if it could bring you peace, but if you OPEN your eyes, you will see that the world around you, amidst all the darkness and pain, is BEAUTIFUL. LIFE is beautiful, and you can filter out the aspects that cause your soul despair, focusing on the wonder before you, the expanse further than you can see but that you know of, the promise that is around the next turn or down the next drop, the smile as you look back and see the ones in your heart right there with you.

The ones that you LOVE make life beautiful. They make it worth living. They give you something to HOPE for, and when you hope, life has endless POSSIBILITY, magic just waiting to be discovered and explored, a lifetime of wonder set aside just for you. The life that you have, the life you have been given, and the life you create, will all come together in a tumbled mess, but it is a BEAUTIFUL mess and from it, God will fashion a MASTERPIECE. SO no matter what lies on your mind or body, let your soul take flight and soar up and over those cliffs, into the atmosphere of infinite dreams, and see that life is indeed BEAUTIFUL.

2013 | Day 89: REALISTICALLY EXPECTING MIRACLES

REALISTICALLY EXPECTING MIRACLES

Today those thousands of years ago was a MIRACLE. The events that transpired were UNbelievable and yet they HAPPENED; it canNOT be disputed. LIFE itself is a miracle and one to be CHERISHED, valued above even the most precious of things. Life RESURRECTED, a SECOND chance at giving it another shot, is to be valued even MORE, PRICELESS beyond measure and the most AMAZING of miracles.

Rising from DEATH – shedding of the old skin of the life lived before, life breathed from within the heat of the flames of the fire, rising majestically from out of the old – is nothing to be laughed at. A SECOND chance is nothing to turn your head from. The chance to live AGAIN is the ultimate blessing.

Just as dying for the sake of another is the ultimate SACRIFICE. Yet it was KNOWINGLY done, another miracle altogether and something few would be willing to do, CHOOSING to give their life for another, let alone those they do NOT know. But HE did, and because of that, we are given a chance at SALVATION, a shot at ETERNITY

We have been given a GIFT, a miracle. We have been shown that NOTHING is impossible when you stand on the side of He who created life. We have been given the greatest miracle of all – life. We should make the MOST of it, using the life we have been given as an EXAMPLE of His glory, realistically expecting miracles, as we living, breathing proof of one.

You might not believe in miracles. How can I NOT? I have lived many, seen many, and experienced such revelation of them, that I know NOTHING cannot be UNconceived in reality. Every moment air is drawn into your lungs is a moment of OPPORTUINTY for a miracle to transpire, so always keep your soul OPEN for it.

2013 | Day 76: SETBACK FOR A COMEBACK

MOTIVATIONAL OF THE DAY

SETBACK FOR A COMEBACK

Every time you “fail” is NOT a failure. It is an OPPORTUNITY for something “better”. It is a “chance” for you to CHANGE yourself and the world around you. It is a time to “look” deeper WITHIN you. It is moment for REFLECTION.

You might cry. You might scream. You might get hurt. You might be destroyed. But you also might LEARN. You also might begin to truly SEE. You might start to UNDERSTAND your soul. You might REALIZE your “true” dreams and heart.

Every time you fall down, no matter how far or how deep you fall, there is ALWAYS a way back up. It might take days, weeks, years, and be the hardest thing you ever do, but it CAN be done. EVERY setback, no matter how large or small, is God’s way of giving you a SECOND chance. It is your time to “begin” AGAIN. It is your Easter Sunday and the dawn of a NEW “spring”. The season for mourning has passed and you are given a FRESH slate on which to “write” the story of your life.

YOU are in control. YOU hold the pen that covers the pencil engraved already on the pages of your life. YOU create your fate with the decisions you make. YOU determine your path with the consequences of your actions and your response to them.

STOP looking at being “knocked down” as the end. See it instead as the chance to rise. See yourself as the phoenix rising from the ashes of your past life and stepping into the NEW. You are a “new” creature, the same as before, but NOT the same, wise with your past experience, beautiful with your past pain, and open to the future from everything that has transpired to this point, knowing that you have not gone through everything you have for NOTHING.

Every setback is preparing you for a COMEBACK, allowing the world to see and know a BETTER you, someone who is “of” the past, but not of the past. Transforming with deliberation, you a creature that has been tempered in the fires of hell, then moulded with the hands of God. A beautiful “creation” that brings Him glory.
