2013 | Day 72: PEACE OF MIND



There are many things in this life that we canNOT control. Both in our personal AND professional lives. The key is to RECOGNIZE those things and then to take steps to change the things we CAN change. Accepting that we are not always going to be the one with the power to control everything can be hard for most of us, but at the same time, if we cannot control it; neither should we let it stress us out by trying TO control it. If there is something that we have no control over, let it GO and work on the aspects that ARE within your power to change. Focus on the aspects that YOU oversee, the areas where YOU are the one pulling the strings.

If something is out of your hands and you do NOT like it, do something about it. Remove yourself from that situation, excuse yourself from the person or role, or just let it lie and do your best to work within the bounds placed upon you. Do NOT let it affect your peace of mind, because if you do, it will drive you crazy. It will become a sickness, negativity seeking to spread not just through you, but to others, as you unconsciously project the disturbance in yourself.

You want only to share POSITIVE vibes, to help create an atmosphere conducive to positive change and effects. Therefore, centre yourself and let that beyond your control GO, doing what you can where you can. Letting something go is hard, but in the long-term it is the BEST thing for you to do. Your HEALTH, especially your mental health, IS important.
